Not many small burger food trucks here in Rome and we were blown away by the quality, friendly service and delicious food! The burgers were juicy and flavorful and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned! We will definitely come back for the friendly service and good prices that are competitive with big businesses that have less quality food-- why pay just as much for a McDonalds burger that's not made with love? Nothing feels better than supporting a local business with great food and great folks!

And unlike a lot of places I have zero worry from Mitch's about the meats and fish being anything but top notch and super fresh. Plus - by ordering ahead Mitch always has what I want - butchered the way I want it. Lots of the businesses I support have "rules" I don't love (like breakfast starting at 8 am vs its real starting time of 6 am) :). But I just work around 'em. One of the great things about owning your own business is you get to figure out how to run it your own way. Mitch definitely has a way of running his -- but I'm a raving fan and I love being able to order ahead and just run in and pick it up. Swim with the current! Go Mitch - we appreciate y'all!

And the rules can be a hassle if you are not planning ahead. It's all entirely true. BUT... Good lord is the meat good. The man knows his trade. I can only afford it every once in a while, but if I need an absolute slam-dunk for a special occasion, I always hit up Mitch. His manager lady (I'm sorry I don't recall your name!) is incredibly nice and helpful, making suggestions and giving tips. The business has its quirks, and if you don't like the rules or the prices, it's best you go somewhere else. In reviewing the menu and the online reviews, I knew I wanted to try their burger. I was dining alone, so I decided to sit at the bar. The service was great. They were friendly and super attentive. I ordered the Big John Burger with brisket, bacon BBQ sauce, and cheese on a toasted brioche bun. The burger comes with your choice of one side, so I had to try the mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was super rich and creamy. I did not have room for dessert, but I would definitely consider returning to try the Skillet Cookie, a warm chocolate chip cookie served in a mini skillet with cold vanilla ice cream. Yum... If you find yourself in Rome, Georgia, I would highly recommend you visit John Henry's Grill on Broad Street. Cheers
