From start to finish, the entire team was reliable, on time, and within budget--something truly rare in construction. The management team, Jeff, Vitt and Justin, were fantastic partners throughout the process. Their architect, Valerie took all of our ideas and turned them into a design that exceeded our expectations, creating the dream home we hoped for. They guided us through key decisions, from fixtures to finishes, and connected us with excellent local suppliers like Mission Tiles in Soquel. They utilized Oxford Cabinets, who created an amazing custom kitchen and dry bar for us that perfectly complements our open-plan dining, kitchen, and living area. Their craftsmanship truly elevated the space. We couldn't be happier with the final result and highly recommend this team to anyone considering a custom home.

Their use of an online project management platform meant that we were never left wondering what was happening on any given day or what was next on the to-do list. Like most remodels, there were unexpected issues that needed to be addressed, but the CBB team was quick to offer solutions and keep the project on schedule. We were living onsite for the project and can attest that the CBB crew and all subs were punctual, efficient, polite, and kept the job site clean. They were so kind, put up with our constant questions, crazy kids, curious cats, and barking dogs! I can't say enough good things about CBB and recommend them to everyone embarking on a construction project.

I choose Alder wood custom cabs from Schmidt of Watsonville, tile floor, quartz counter, subway tiles, sil- granite sink and added a gas line. Len and I met at several stores to check out tile, cabs and counter material which was very useful. It took 6+ weeks which was expected and why I choose to be out of town when most of the work was done. It was started right on time just as I requested several months earlier. I was able to keep an eye on the project with a drop cam. It was fun to see the progress every evening wherever I was. Len was creative with the design and came up with a few key enhancements primarily the cabinets. I was planning to use manufactured cabinets but when I saw the quality of Schmidt cabs and reasonable price I went for it. Im very happy I did. Also, I have a garden window ( the only thing left from original kitchen) and the base shelf was ordinary material that showed it age. Since there was extra quartz material left over from counter he proposed adding it to the garden window and it really improved it. I met several members of his team and they all were courteous and efficient in their work.

Avalon Structural is a truly professional organization across the board - front office, inspectors,…read moreengineers, and on-site repair staff. If you have a foundation crack, save yourself the time and trouble and call Avalon Structural first. I got multiple estimates for my fairly extensive ~23' horizontal crack. I found there are three types of companies. The first type will do the minimum to chip out the rusted rebar, throw some fresh rebar in there, patch it up with a "band-aid", and charge you handsomely for a quick in-and-out job. The second will glance at your foundation and immediately tell you it has to be replaced, for an even more handsome price, of course. And then there is Avalon Structural. They will perform a comprehensive and highly structurally sound repair, removing all compromised material, charge a fair price, and stand behind their work with a strong warranty. If you visit their website, read the articles, and watch the videos explaining the right and wrong ways to perform foundation repairs, you will be well-equipped to choose the right company for your foundation job. Or, you can save the time and just call them. We couldn't be happier with our repair. The foundation looks great and feathers in perfectly with the undamaged foundation sections. The repair team was amazing and extremely respectful of our property. The city inspector signed off with zero issues, which speaks volumes about the quality of their work. A big thank you to Roger, MJ, and the entire Avalon Structural team!

We want to stay in this home until carried out "feet first". We searched for a local construction team that had knowledge and experience in ADA guidelines, as well as a track record for good design and customer service. The team needed to have a designer with these attributes, as well. In the past I had overseen the remodel of a bath, choosing and scheduling contractors myself. I did not want to do that again! Talmadge was an easy choice. Jeremiah Trask was our project manager and a delight to work with. Our designer, Kristen Totah, was the best (and I used to manage a design studio). She asked the right questions, and nailed it. Everything she brought for approval was perfect, and just as I requested. Jeremiah kept the subcontractors flowing on schedule. We hit one snag with a defective plumbing part that took a while to diagnose and even longer for the manufacturer to admit to it and send a replacement, but Jeremiah and the supplier kept at it until it was resolved. The bathroom now has multiple, attractive grab bars (I requested that even the towel bars be ADA grab bars), a large shower rather than a tub/shower, a custom vanity and new low-flow toilet. You can find a less expensive contractor, but not a better one. You get what you pay for.
