This is the sign that brought me in. Yum. :-)

Background In town, once again, trying to make sure some various repairs are handled and for reasons I won't bore you with - I'm limited in what I can do in the kitchen at our place. Which means I'm stuck eating take-away (or fridge salad / fridge cold-cut sandwiches) for the next 2 - 3 weeks. I've been scouring Yelp and Google for good-looking food and this place peaked my interest when I saw the Yelp photo boasting their Seafood Saturday options. I was especially pleased to have an opportunity to show some support for a minority owned business as well. Exterior They're located in an older strip mall / plaza - on Altama. Lucke Furniture is the anchor store in the plaza. There's a decent amount of parking, but a lot of customers for neighboring businesses seem to park carelessly meaning they take up more than one space. Luckily, Wrap Happy has 3 curbside pickup spots right at their front door. Interior Very small and barebones, but appeared clean. Customer Service Cashier / servers seemed very nice. I called twice before I went in and experienced excellent phone manners and pleasant dispositions. First time I called I wanted to know if salmon and grits were Saturday only (based on Yelp photo), then once it got close to 11am and I still hadn't managed to make it there, I called to find out if they sold this entree during lunch as well. Cashier told me that they sold them all day ... 'until they run out.' When I arrived, there was a group of 3 or 4 construction workers placing an order and one of them was pretty indecisive about what he wanted. (Every question required serious consideration with his finger on his chin - lol) So I was very pleased when another young lady exited the kitchen to take my order. Because I could tell they were gonna be a bit loud and the restaurant is small, I decided I'd get my order to go and eat in the car. I told the young lady that I was going to wait in my car and asked how long before I should come back in and she suggested that I pull up to curbside and she told me she'd be happy to bring it out to me. When she delivered food to the car, she gave me a spoon wrapped loosely in napkin. I ventured back inside to get a knife to scrape the cheese off the patties and cashier was busy with another customer, but the same young lady from before dashed back out from the kitchen and asked what I needed. I appreciated her initiative. The only thing I didn't love is that her hands were wet with something and when she handed me the plastic package of flatware, it was damp. I was hoping it was just plain water. (I mentioned it because I know they sell shellfish and I have a shrimp allergy.) Price Value For my entree, the price on the laminated menu and the price on the sign was $6.50. The cashier rang me up for $9.99. That's a 53.69% increase. When I questioned the accuracy of the pricing, the cashier explained that the price had increased a few months ago - even before new ownership and Google and Yelp are still showing some of their old pricing info. But what about the fact that they laminated menu they have a the register STILL shows $6.50 as the price. Maybe I'm more sensitive to stuff like this because I have restaurant clients that I support (graphic design) - and I believe in giving people grace, but updating one copy of a physical menu should not take weeks or months. I had planned to purchase both breakfast and lunch (a wrap for later) but after the pricing discrepancy, I was in danger of blowing my self-imposed per diem for my food (lol), so I hit up another restaurant later. When I went back inside the second time, there was another customer complaining about the price discrepancies and the cashier was patiently explaining the increase & new management ... Food Unfortunately - I didn't love my food. I thought it was just 'ok.' The salmon patties were thin and a bit limp (versus the crispy exterior I was expecting) and very onion-centric. They actually serve the salmon patties atop the grits in a very small container. (Its basically a clear clamshell container large enough to hold a single hamburger.) On a positive note, the grits were cooked to the perfect consistency. For some reason, they garnish the salmon patties and grits with cheese and parsley flakes (artistic flair?). I crossed my fingers and prayed that the cheese was real cheese - not American cheese - or I was gonna be in for some serious trouble later. *BTW - American cheese is not cheese - it's 'pasteurized processed cheese food.' I love it but it doesn't love me. It's the only cheese that does a number on my stomach. Overall Overall, I think this is a nice spot and I hope they succeed but I really do think they're doing their customers a disservice by not being truthful, transparent and upfront in their pricing. The customer service was friendly and courteous, and the wraps look delicious, so I might stop back in before I leave town.

Blackened Chicken Caesar wrap (added tomato)

RUN, DON'T WALK!! Every single thing about our visit was five stars from the moment we opened the door. The man behind the counter greeted us so warmly and let us know they had just done a remodel and got a new menu. He recommended the blackened chicken caesar wrap and that's exactly what I got (I added tomato bc I'm on a tomato kick). We were heading back to the hotel to eat before driving back home, and as you can see I was in the car for less than 10 seconds before I was grabbing my wrap. The wrap came out hot and absolutely delicious. Let me tell you, the chicken was juicy and so well seasoned. The dressing was creamy and tangy and perfect. And it was wrapped so well that none of the toppings were falling out. And toasted?? Added a whole other level. The food was absolutely fabulous, and the man who helped us spoke so well and warmly and shared his passion about providing Brunswick, his hometown, with fresh and delicious food. And boy did he deliver!!! I absolutely CANNOT recommend this establishment enough.

    Chicken Salad Wrap

Fresh and delicious! Super friendly service. Highly recommend over fast food. Healthier options at a fair price. Their chicken salad was one of the best I've ever had!

    Steakhouse Wrap

A gem off the beaten path. You ABSOLUTELY need to stop in. The steakhouse wrap was amazing from start to finish. They do NOT skimp on the steak or flavor here. Steak was perfect and juicy, and the wrap didn't fall apart or get soggy. The spicy bacon ranch pasta salad was also wonderful. Flavorful and the spice hits after in the back of your mouth, but not an overwhelming spice to make it un enjoyable. I wish they were open on saturdays!

a hand holding a wrap of food

WOW if this isn't a local favorite, it should be. Amazing customer service. Amazing menu. Amazing food. Ordered the Greek freak with lamb and it was one of the best wraps I have ever had. Mix the pineapple tea with unsweetened tea for a refreshing treat. Will be coming back anytime I stop in town! Thank you!

Tipsy McSway's is open until 10 PM and the kitchen stops taking orders at 9 PM. After looking over the menu, I decided to try the Brunswick stack sandwich. I had hoped to try the tomato bisque soup as my side, but unfortunately, they only serve chili, not soup, on Mondays. So instead, I ordered the fried potato salad as my side, and it was surprisingly delicious. It comes with small diced potatoes in a warm savory mustard sauce. When I originally asked the bartender what he recommended, he mentioned the Brunswick stack sandwich as well as the smash burgers. While the sandwich was good, I would probably try one of the burgers next time. Nevertheless, I would definitely get the fried potato salad again. The next time I'm in the area, I would definitely consider returning to Tipsy McSway's and I would recommend it to others as well. Cheers

There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great! The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). I highly recommend their buffalo crab dip, a concoction that is a buffalo cheese dip served with fresh lump crab. You can really taste the crab in this dish. They don't skimp on it at all. The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. I strongly recommend this place!
