In October of 2022, my husband and I decided that we were ready to start trying for a baby. I let Megan know and she provided us with a lot of sound advice, like when to get off the pill, what user friendly apps to use to track periods and symptoms, and other lifestyle adjustments we can make, so that it happens fairly quick, but also with the best versions of ourselves. It took 3 months, which was perfect for our timeline and what felt so fast for being on the pill for over 10 years. Megan knew I was pregnant the day I found out. She has incredible intuition and just so happened to text me minutes around the time I tested positive! I will always remember those 9 months of pregnancy fondly, especially because I had Megan checking in on me/us, letting me know what I can expect at certain doctor appointments, and always just being a text/call away for all of the random questions I had (I am located in Northern CA). The week of our due date, Megan continued to check in on us. Our baby was overdue, but I was never worried because Megan had taught me how normal that is. She even prepared me for what to expect from others: nonstop texts/calls of where the baby is, of course! Because Megan prepped me so well, I was ready for anything and didn't let anything or anyone get to me. I am so fortunate for her help with the expectation-setting; it really went a long way. Baby is now earthside and Megan continues to be there for us. She has made sure that things are going, like breastfeeding, labor and delivery recovery, and more, while making sure me and my husband's mental health are still alive and well! I have also attended a couple of the Friday meetup groups when I was in So Cal and seriously love them. It's such a great atmosphere and gathering of moms with their babies, getting to know each other and sharing their current "happies + crappies." They sometimes bring knowledgeable guests, like a pelvic floor therapist, too. Their baby gear swaps are also so great! I've gotten to donate some things for the next family, while gaining some awesome things for baby, like clothing, bottles and a portable tub. This is already so long, but I could easily go on about how great Megan and her services are. You will feel safe, listened to and advocated for. read more

What an amazing experience ! I contacted Megan about a month before my due date for postpartum overnight doula support placement and within a few days she had sent me a list of several qualified doulas. I interviewed all of them and each were amazing . When I went into labor 3 weeks early, the doulas we selected, Erin and Chloe, were ready to spring into action with knowledge and patience. They were communicative, punctual and in totally tune with my baby's and my needs from the second they walked in the door and the entire two weeks they were with us. We're eternally grateful for Megan and her team for easing our transition and providing the emotional and physical support we needed. Would highly recommend Erin and Chloe and Wrap Around Baby for birth and postpartum support placement . read more

Megan did an in home consultation with me a few days after I came home from the hospital with my newborn. I was so grateful that she made herself available so quickly. As an anxious new mom, I didn't want to wait an entire week, which was what I heard from other providers. She was knowledgeable, thorough and when I left, I felt very comfortable with next steps on my breastfeeding path with my baby. Additionally, she was available for a period of time after via text for followup questions, which I also found extremely helpful. read more

Wrap Around Baby was hands down the best decision I've been since becoming a mom. Nessa sleep conditioned our newborn from day one and she's been sleeping 7-hour stretches each night since 6 weeks old. Additionally, Nessa was a shoulder to lean on during the first weeks of giving birth-- she was always available to answer every question and was also just someone to talk to each night she came over. She was encouraging, patient, never judgmental, kind, fun to chat with, and extremely knowledgeable. It was such a game changer to have someone we trusted to speak with instead of just Googling our baby questions. After completing our time with Nessa, she helped us find a part-time nanny that met our very niche schedule and needs. She also was there for us every step of the way when we found out our newborn had a tongue tie-- and even accompanied us to the doctor's appt when she absolutely did not have to. We didn't have help with our first child and the difference has been night a day. I cannot recommend enough. If you are on the fence about a doula or sleep training-- do it! Worth the money and then some. A truly gifted group of women that have made all the difference with my postpartum experience and our baby's foundational first months. read more

We hired Nessa as our postpartum night doula for 8 weeks and the experience could not have been more loving, educational, comforting, and professional. It sounds hyperbolic, but Nessa was the best decision we made throughout the entire process of bringing a new baby into this world (obviously aside from the actual decision to have a baby). This was baby #2 for us and after a challenging experience with #1 we figured it'd be wise to have a professional caregiver guide us through the process again. Nessa was integral in helping sleep train our baby and get us all on a schedule that had her sleeping 9 hour chunks without waking throughout the night. She did this within 7 weeks! I didn't know it was possible but Nessa made it really simple for us and guided us the entire time. She was always available to answer questions and went above and beyond when we were clearly in moments of distress. She was so patient and understanding and good-natured. We are incredibly grateful to Nessa and the team at Wrap Around Baby. Additionally, we hired Wrap Around Baby to find us a nanny. That experience was quick and easy and took the guesswork out of the entire process. Leave it up to a professional. We were incredibly pleased with how Nessa and Megan listened to our needs and found someone totally perfect for our family. We really miss Nessa and couldn't be more enthusiastic about recommending her to your family!!! read more

As a post partum doula I wanted to further my training and connect with other birth/postpartum workers in Orange County, and Wraparound Baby's Post Partum Doula Retreat was so so helpful. it not only provided additional education but providing a safe place for us to meet, and hold space with other doulas, and NCSs! Megan is professional and thoughtful, she continues to provide accurate, most up-to-date research and recommendations. I have seen her continue to be an amazing resource (professionally and personally) for so many mamas as she is an IBCLC, RN, sleep coach, and mama herself! Nessa has SO MUCH professional experience as a career nanny, post partum doula and sleep coach! She is friendly, personable, and welcoming to everyone. I was pleasantly surprised when wraparound Baby provided personal binders and pens with helpful visuals and vignettes for us to consider and discuss in breakout groups. We were paired up to practice role playing and verbalize how to coach a breastfeeding mother through supportive holds, and positions, latch, etc.. They provided a delicious dinner! It honestly felt like a group of friends coming together to learn and grow. read more

My husband and I had our first baby boy in February of 2021 and we were so excited as first parents to start raising him. However, we didn't have a clue on how to take care of a baby. We tried our best, but we didn't stick to a schedule/routine and this equated to us being sleep deprived and an overtired baby. I had known Vanessa for many years and my only regret was not calling her sooner! I thought I didn't need help, that I as mother I had to figure it out. Was I very wrong! Through Vanessa I learned I can ask for help and not feel Guilty about it. Vanessa helped us put our baby in a routine. She helped us establish nap times and bed time routines. She thought us how much baby food/formula was needed to make sure he would have a good night's sleep. She taught us his sleeping cues so that we know when he is tired. This saved us! We have been able to sleep through the night and we get some down time when he takes his naps. My son is definitely in a better mood and his cognitive development is more evident. Vanessa's help also had some underlying help as well! My husband and I are much happier since we work together as a team to keep our son in a schedule and we both are well rested and are able to be at work with out being tired. We couldn't be happier with Vanessa's help! Would I recommend Vanessa and her team? Heck yeah! My only regret is that I didn't get a hold of them sooner. So call right now, do it! You won't regret it. read more

Nessa and the team at Wrap Around Baby were game changing for our experience as first time parents. We weren't sure if we were going to hire a postpartum doula at first, but after interviewing Nessa we signed up immediately. It was so clear from our conversation how informed she is about newborn care, and how much education she would be able to provide us as new parents. She exceeded expectations throughout her month with us, and by the end we were begging her to stay! Nessa was waiting for us the day we got discharged from the hospital, and made our transition home so seamless. She helped us get into a routine, ensured baby was happy and well fed, made sure I recovered well (physically and mentally), and always checked in on dad too. Above taking care of the baby, she helped me figure out how to use my pump, gave personalized recommendations for our family (which bottles, pacifiers, and swaddles our baby might like, helpful breastfeeding products for mom, techniques to carry, massage, and stretch the baby, etc.), and was available outside of her working hours to answer any and all questions. Nessa and her partner Megan were also incredibly helpful for us establishing breastfeeding. Because my milk was slow to come in, the hospital had us supplementing with formula and on a triple feeding system (breastfeeding + formula + pumping), which was extremely overwhelming for me as a new mom. Because Wrap Around Baby provides multifaceted care, I was able to speak with the IBCLC on her team and create a simpler plan. We went from a formula fed baby to an exclusively breastfed baby in a matter of days. Nessa and Megan also helped us identify our baby's tongue tie and referred us to an incredible oral specialist, which in turn helped everyone get more sleep. It was truly a privilege to work with and get to know Nessa, and I hope to do it again when we have more kids. read more

I will be forever thankful to Megan at wrap around baby. She was so helpful during the beginning of my postpartum period with breastfeeding questions and support. After breastfeeding my baby for 3 weeks, I was experiencing intense nipple pain. I couldn't get an appointment with Kaiser and was desperate. I reached out to Megan and she was able to squeeze me into her busy schedule and during a busy Thanksgiving week. She came to our house the day after I contacted her and we are so grateful for her knowledge and compassion. She observed a nursing session and also weighed baby before and after. She gave me helpful tips and advice which alleviated my nipple pain right away. She checked in often afterwards to make sure I was ok and to answer any questions. After meeting with Megan, I felt much more confident in my breastfeeding journey. Prior to that, I was ready to quit and would literally cry every day because of the pain. Our family is so grateful to have worked with Megan. read more

My husband and I were impressed with Megan from the start of our consultation with her. Her communication was impeccable with setting up at home lactation visit and she continued to keep an open line communication with both of us before and after the visit. She was not only professional but extremely knowledgeable. She provided me with support and offered helpful tips and tricks for breastfeeding that empowered me to feel confident to breastfeed my son. I was so nervous breastfeeding as a first time mother but her presence and passion for what she does truly shines through the work she does. Megan was an absolute blessing to us! We had her over for a lactation consultation but quickly found that she was incredibly helpful with all aspects of newborn care. We were pretty lost with an extremely fussy baby. She gave us advice and direction on how to care for our baby and it made a hugely positive impact. She really is a baby whisperer! read more

I hired Megan as my postpartum doula a few times a week to help me with my twin boys who were born in April 2022. It was so comforting to have her to support me though the journey of new motherhood. She guide me through a lot of my 1st with the boys and she alerted me to their tongue tie restriction. She was so sweet and professional to work with. Even now after our contract has end, she is happy to answer any questions and offer advice. Thank you so much Megan! read more

Megan has been SO amazing to my husband, baby boy and I during our postpartum and breastfeeding journey. I was so overwhelmed before I met her as a first time mom with a baby that wasn't latching. I knew I wanted to give breastfeeding my very best shot and so I called around and was lucky enough to find Megan. She immediately texted me back and came up with a plan until our in person visit. She reassured me that everything I was experienced could be fixed! She made herself available 24/7 to me via text before our visit as well which was so helpful. After our in person visit baby was latching within 20 mins of her being there. She assessed his mouth and we found he has a high palette. She told us some exercises we could do to help him latch better. Before we knew it, he was latching with no issues and mom and baby were so happy! One of the best things about Megan is that after your appointment she is available by phone any time and it helps that she is super fast at responding when I have any questions and concerns! If you are looking for a thorough, professional and loving lactation consultant RUN to Megan! read more

My husband and I had our twin girls in June. These are our first babies and to say we were overwhelmed is an understatement. Nessa came into our lives and we were in desperate need of some sleep and a break. I will admit, I was nervous having a stranger in the house with my babies but she made us feel so comfortable and she was amazing with our girls. When we no longer needed a doula, Nessa has still been there for us every step of the way. She has given us tips on sleep training, how to start solids and even advice on breast feeding and how to increase my supply. She is always a text away and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. I feel like every new mother needs someone like her to help guide them on this crazy journey. read more

As a first time Dad, Wrap Around Baby was a lifesaver. Beyond the extra sleep I got (my first real night's sleep since the baby), our doula taught us so much about how to take care of our child specifically. We went to a parenting class before our son was born, but it's hard to describe how much more helpful the information we got from our doula was. As an example: we learned to swaddle in the parenting class (and again from the postpartum nurses at the hospital) but it never seemed to really soothe him. But then after one night with us, our doula, Nessa, observed that he preferred to be swaddled with a different technique. From then on, it worked like a charm. There are a dozen things like that I could name that she taught us--in a handful of visits--that made us better parents and made our son happier and more comfortable--which is truly priceless. read more

Megan came and did a home session with me and my two month old after having some struggles with oversupply, strong letdown, and fast flow. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. She came up with a plan for us and things are going great! She has stayed in touch to follow up and support me. I highly recommend her! Thank you Megan! read more

Vanessa, the co owner of wrap around baby is nothing short of amazing. I call her a "once in a lifetime" kind of woman. She started with our family the first week my daughter was born and we initially only had her booked for 6 weeks. Those 6 weeks turned into 3.5 months. We just couldn't let her go. She is FULL of knowledge, resources, gentleness, kindness, and passion for her job. Vanessa would not leave our house until she knew we were confident with our daughter when she'd give us new sleeping techniques, calming techniques, feeding techniques etc. I suffered from postpartum anxiety, and I owe it to Vanessa for coaching me into a mentally good space and seeking help when needed. I can't imagine not having Vanessa when we brought our baby home. She's not just good at her job, she's GREAT, phenomenal, outstanding. She puts her heart and soul into her babies. We trust her implicitly. If you're looking for a doula, LOOK NO FURTHER, she is your gal! I promise you won't regret it read more

I had almost every breastfeeding issue under the sun, including being hospitalized for a week when our son was 5 weeks old due to mastitis and an abscess. Megan's incredible knowledge and support as our lactation consultant enabled us to get where we are today--back to exclusively nursing. She truly listened to all of my concerns and brought her expertise to bear in helping us overcome huge hurdles in my breastfeeding journey. Literally couldn't have gotten to where we are today without her help and guidance. Also--while I was in the hospital, my husband was home alone with our newborn, and the team at Wraparound Baby immediately responded to help him navigate being the sole caretaker for our son while I was sick. They are just an incredible and invaluable resource for any new parents; we are so grateful that we had them in our lives to navigate our first birth and postpartum experience. read more
