I am absolutely blown away by this team of Doulas! They are first class caretakers and truly wonderful humans. Joselyn (Yosie) was our post partum doula for 3 months after the birth of our twins. She was incredible! I don't think I could have made it through those first few weeks without her. She was punctual, knowledgeable , and truly so loving to my babies. I was able to sleep soundly (which I desperately needed) knowing that my babies were being taken care of. Each morning I was provided detailed notes from the night before. This made it incredibly easy for me to understand how the night went and when the babies would eat next. In addition to caring for the babies she assisted with breast feeding, pump cleaning, bottle cleaning, laundry, and even helped to clean the bottle sanitizer machine! December 19, 2025 To whom it may concern: Carla Gentile helped us overnight for 16 weeks following the birth of our third child in July 2025. She is extremely knowledgeable and brought a calm and positive energy when she arrived (on time, if not early!) every night to our home. I appreciated that Carla stayed awake and alert during the night, and was able to guide our baby to a nighttime feeding schedule. She is a true baby whisperer and would try different calming and soothing techniques until she found the one that worked best. One night, she arrived with a large exercise ball and it turned out that our baby loved it and instantly fell asleep (this helped us so much with naps during the day!). She also provided thoughtful guidance along the way that helped our daughter sleep better at night. My husband and I were completely confident that our baby was being given the best care possible and this allowed us to get restful sleep. It is evident that Carla adores babies and loves what she does. We have worked with several doulas now, and Carla is by far the best. We used Newborn Nurtury for when we welcomed our second baby into our family and could not have been more pleased with the night doula they provided for us! Teresa Erwin came highly recommended, had a wonderful resume, and our personal experience made it bittersweet to say goodbye. Teresa was such an amazing night doula for us during our first five weeks home with our newborn son! Although it's been our second baby, I cannot imagine having gone through this past month without all Teresa's help. We had her come Monday - Thursday, usually 9pm-6am, and her warm smile, kindness and eagerness to help immediately always put me at ease. She's also very easy to talk to and seamlessly felt like an extension of our family. Her help with dishes, laundry, bottle and pump parts, light tidying up around our home (which often looked like a hurricane had hit because we have both a two year and a newborn), and her loving care of our baby boy were invaluable. She understood the importance of me trying to get as much sleep as possible & I was able to stay in bed while she'd bring me anything I needed - baby if I was nursing, clean pump parts if I was pumping, my favorite snacks for middle of the night while I'm a breastfeeding dinosaur (always hungry), and a cup of replenished ice water. And of course, she always prioritized caring for baby, whether it was feeding, changing, getting him to sleep, calming him down if he was uncomfortable / gassy, etc. I have no hesitation to recommend her to other families - we loved having her so much we even looked into extending her time with us another week, but her schedule was already booked. I also appreciated all her recommendations for our son, whether it was his congestion (caused from him eating so much) to his extra gassiness in recent weeks. Our experience with Newborn Nurtury, specifically with Maxine, was extremely disappointing. We were referred by a friend who had a great experience with Donna, and we too found Donna to be professional, kind, and responsive. Unfortunately, she was unavailable for the weeks we needed a postpartum doula, so she referred us to Maxine and Melissa, who, based on other reviews seemed to work together regularly. We met with Maxine on Monday and she explicitly requested that we provide a response by the following week. We informed her that we were still waiting to meet with Melissa and requested she send us a contract for review which she never sent. We met Melissa on Wednesday who confirmed that she could cover the nights Maxine was off. After that we fully intended to move forward with the duo of Maxine and Melissa, and requested Melissa send us a contract which again we did not receive. Then, on Friday morning--less than four days after meeting Maxine and just two days after meeting Melissa--Maxine abruptly informed us via text that she had moved forward with another client. This was before the deadline she had set herself, and she never followed up with us or provided any notice. My wife and I feel confused and betrayed by the lack of professionalism, disregard for commitments, and failure to communicate about the possibility of Maxine moving forward with another client weeks before the birth of our child. We trusted Donna's referral wholeheartedly and had every intention of working with Maxine and Melissa. We understand this is a business and doulas want to fill their schedules, but it became clear that their priority is booking as many clients as possible rather than walking with couples through the process and truly supporting them. If you're looking for reliable, transparent, and ethical postpartum care, we recommend booking Donna or looking elsewhere. read more

As first time parents, we were eager to have postpartum help and navigate the waters with our son and were so incredibly grateful to have found Donna. Our first doula had to cancel due to a family emergency and recommended Donna. Donna came to the rescue and connected us to Silvana, who helped in every way with our son for 8 weeks! I looked into finding a postpartum doula after finding out that this was something I had partially covered through work. This is my first baby and now having had help, I can see how vital and comforting it is to have a doula in your home to help you get through those first months. Donna was a great resource, explained how things worked, and got me connected to a few doulas right away. After a few conversations, we chose Lanny as our doula and could not be more grateful! Lanny has such a deep knowledge about newborns, babies, and moms from her extensive doula experience as well as her own personal experience. I trusted her right away because it really seemed like she had seen it all. The best sleep we get is when Lanny is around, and it allows us to be more present the next day. Lanny gave us confidence as parents as well. She would let us know what she thought was working and what wasn't. It was never in a way that overstepped and was always welcomed. She helped guide us for our first bath, tweaks that could help in the nursery, habits to form early on, how to best use things like gripe water and mylicon, ways to relieve gas. All the little things that can seem really overwhelming are not so bad when you have some guidance. And she was always one text away for questions before our baby came and of course after. Donna helped us find Kalita and Leia who are night doulas we worked with until our baby was 6 weeks old. Kalita primarily helped us out and Leia would come a handful of times each week. Both were incredible to work with and have a genuine love for what they do. This was for our second child, and we even got helpful tips on our toddler from Kalita (even though they never met since she would start after bedtime). My wife appreciated having the company too and the extra support helped us welcome our newborn into our lives while maintaining the energy to care for our toddler. I was recommended to Teresa by Donna! And she was a godsend. Being first-time parents my husband and I were a bit anxious to hand our brand new baby girl over to someone but boy am I glad we did. Teresa is kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, reliable, understanding, and warm. The 2nd night in the hospital was a hard one for me. Baby girl kept me up all night feeding, eating, and pooping and she was so fussy. So I had Teresa come that first night when we were home. We had her help us 3 nights for a month and boy did that make all the difference in the world. Being able to hand the baby over and get a full night's rest is invaluable. We love our baby so much and we also needed sleep to function and be present with her in the day. My goal with a night Doula was to get some sleep and to learn things about the baby from her. And Teresa did just that and more. She helped with laundry, she always offered to warm food up and bring water, she was flexible with her schedule, and she gave us tips about baby girls' gas and spit-up. Which was 85% of the reason our girl cried. The gas tips and sleep made our experience so much easier. That first month truly is survival mode for both parents - you're learning as you go while healing with little sleep. We had such a great experience working with Lissette as a newborn care specialist and sleep consultant for our 3 month old daughter from June to September 2024. Lissette developed a great bond with our daughter and provided excellent overnight care. Lissette was extremely kind and attempted to minimize disruption to our daily schedule (allowing us to cook dinner and take care of basic tasks without interrupting our daughter's sleep). We had the amazing fortune of working with Kirra after the arrival of our second daughter. What a gift. As second time parents, we were seeking someone who would provide us support in a non- judgmental and thoughtful way. Kirra fit that bill! She was caring, thoughtful, and always trying to help troubleshoot the common newborn issues (gas, spitting up, etc). She was also pretty intentional about making sure we were developing healthy sleep habits now to help ourselves later. Where do I start! Donna at Newborn Nurtury has been a critical aspect of our surviving the transition into parenthood. Before baby arrived, we were naive in thinking that we would have everything under control and that we didn't need help from doulas or outside sources. Well, by 2 months postpartum we realized we were drowning. That's where Donna came to the rescue. Donna gave us hope, normalized our experience, and connected us with doulas that quickly became like family. Of the 5 doulas that we met and connected with, 3 of them became part of our team. I say this to say that if you're on the fence about hiring doulas, I highly recommend doing so before baby arrives. That way you can vet your doula(s) and find one that is a good fit for you and your family when you're not already in the trenches and short on mental/ emotional/ practical resources. Donna set us up with a night doula, day doula, and a sleep consultant. Next time around we will have our care team set up before baby arrives. Katie came in on my first night back from the hospital, recovering from a C-section and battling a cold/cough. I was in pain and I felt so vulnerable and helpless to care for my new baby. This review is long overdue and it's because I have so much love and appreciation in my heart for Maxine, Donna, and Shazy that I just don't even know where to begin. Maxine was with us from the day we came home from the hospital when our daughter was born. She took such great care of our baby and allowed us to get the much needed rest we needed. In addition to caring for our baby, Maxine really looked after me as well. She was there for me in the middle of the night to help get me through some of the foggy and dark postpartum days. We were so sad when our time with her came to an end. When we wanted to extend having a doula come help us, Donna was able to make sure our family continued to have support until we were comfortable to handle the nights alone.
