Nasrin did a fantastic job and was incredibly kind and helpful! I will definitely come back!

Came in to get my lashes done a few weeks ago and Im highly disappointed. The regular lash girl wasn't in but someone else said they could take me for individual, mink, lashes. I didn't like the final look, it wasn't even and just too heavy on my eyes. Now when the lashes are finally falling out all my natural lashes are coming out with them, the girl placed the lashes badly (right on my natural lashes), and when she was applying at certain points she was 'plucking' around my eyelids. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! The pictures show how the lashes are coming out (in weird clusters, some individual, some super thick), and if you look closely you can see my natural lashes at the bottom of the false lash read more

Shelly is the best waxer! She's so sweet and full of light. Very quick and soft on your skin. I always come to this place to get a Brazilian and they're the best in the city. I love having conversations with her whenever I come see her. I'm telling you - you will not regret it. Cheap prices and very sanitary environment. read more

Varsha was great. Came in for a deep pore cleansing facial and leaving feeling relaxed. She's thoughtful and thorough. Good vibes

I've been coming to this place for waxing and threading for the last year and I love it! Devi and Nassin are the best and very professional. The prices are way way less than most places in this neighborhood. I'll keep going back. read more

horrifying experience for my girlfriend. It was painful for her and not at all good service.

My new go-to spot for brow threading and eyelash extensions! All of the women working here are so friendly and I'm always happy with my brows and lashes. It gets busy in the evenings so I recommend going in off hours if possible read more

I found this place on Groupon, they were very accommodating, I called and came in 10 min later, wasnt a problem. Staff is very nice and helpful and professional. The second time i went for a brazilian they had free henna , so i left the place super happy, clean and cool ;) Thanks guys read more

When I tell you that I've been going here so many times for YEARS! Brazilian and brows. But I've also been messed up many times. Trial and error. My first favorite lady I haven't seen in a while but last February (pre-Valentine's day) she suggested this masque for my floral cooch canon and it was AMAZING! She was cute, short, super sweet and a bit older. LOVE HER! NEXT MY BIGGEST HEART BREAK was when I found the perfect woman to get my kitty cooch kat bald as fuck. She was FLAWLESS! Never missed a spot, took her time to make sure she got everything, talks to you and REMEMBERS YOU FROM PREVIOUS APPOINTMENTS. Makes you feel more comfortable getting your pusspuss analyzed by someone whose not your gyn or your partner. HER NAME WAS JES AND I LOVE HER! I tipped her extra always because she got me feeling good when I left. I have thick ass brows that I only wanted shaped not thinned and she was the only one to get it right. Arched to the demigods and I'm the type Of person that does not like to leave the house if they look crazy. I'm so sad that she no longer works there so I guess I gotta start over with the new people but I hope she's happy. This place is wonderful and need more of her. Not 5 stars because I have had instances where I was left with wax still on me and it turn my underwear. Had my booty hole LEFT AND FORGOTTEN until I pointed it out. My brows get threaded but look EXACTLY as f$&@'d up as when I got there. Just not good service. They are all nice, just gotta find ya girl. read more

Fairest prices! Nicest ladies working there! If your live nearby go here and no where else

Great service! Fast and efficient. Very reasonable price for Manhattan. I had my eyebrows threaded and they did a great job! I'm definitely coming back. read more

I have been a client at this place for so long. Girls are very polite and always do their best. Even tho waxing is painful, but very fast. I did my Brazilian with Varsha today and she is awesome!!! read more

I found this place years ago via Groupon - it was my first time getting ANYTHING waxed and I went for a Brazilian. While I don't remember my waxers name, I just want everyone to know she made feel very relaxed and comfortable. She gave a lot of really great advice as well. Fast forward six years and a handful of moves, including one to the other side of the country, and this remains my home for waxing. Today I got a full body wax with Lina who was charming, reassuring and constantly apologized for the "torture" she was putting me through. She had her work cut out for her though since I hadn't shaved/waxed in over 5 months. WOW is a small and cozy, but they're clean and the staff feels like family. If you're looking for frilly amenities and lavender in the air, this is not your joint. If you're looking for honest, patient, quality work in a sanitary environment then COME THRUUUUU. read more

I just moved into my new apartment and needed to find a new go-to threading salon. Thanks to fellow yelpers and their reviews, I ended up at Wow! Neema was the specialist there and she listened to my needs and threaded my eyebrows exactly the way I wanted with excellent precision. She explained the steps she took so I was aware of the areas that needed growing. I have thin light eyebrows so the whole thing was done in 3 minutes and the cost was only $5! By far the best price in the city. I will definitely be back for future eyebrow needs :) read more

No wonder they call this place wow! I'm truly in love. Finally found a place that really make a difference. Rimpy was so professional and thorough. She truly listen to me and what I was asking for. I came out with major different but it still looked very natural . I already bragged to all my girlfriends that they must go see her. I'll post pictures to show the before and after. read more

I got a groupon for a chocolate wax at this place. The chocolate wax was great and I would definitely get it again but not here. I don't mind a fast wax but why rush and break the hair instead of pulling it out? I had many ingrowns which is usually due to the direction the hair is pulled from and not being removed correctly. Not even a whole 3 weeks later my hair grew back because it wasn't pulled out from the root. read more

Kind employees and great prices! I get my eyebrows threaded here and they always look great. I have naturally full eyebrows and prefer them to stay full but they need to be cleaned up every now and then. Every time I go they do a great job and it costs less than $10! Highly recommend. read more

Such horrible service ! The woman took off half my entire eye brow and left me with two different shaped eyebrows!

I came here in tears after getting one of my eyebrows butchered by a salon on 23rd street. Can I just say OMG Rimpy was like the eyebrow magician of my dreams!!! She managed to take my shapeless rounded eyebrow and bring the arch back to its natural perfection. And it's super affordable - 5 dollars for a killer job. I honestly am going to go here always. Love you, Rimpy! Thanks for helping an Indian sistah out in her time of need. read more

I will never come back here, at least not for a Brazilian wax. The hair grew back extremely quickly and thick; I'm sure that the hairs just broke, instead of being removed. I had several ingrowns. I've had numerous Brazilian waxes before, and this was the most painful. The low price is not worth trekking to this dingy space with subpar results. read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years now. They do an excellent job, prices are very reasonable & it's a short wait time.

I used to come here as a regular about 2 years ago. Moved away & after being in the area a month ago, I decided to stop by. This place expanded to 2 floors and went to absolute sh*t. It's f*cking dirty & the Brazilian left me bleeding. Bleeding as in WAY more than any kind of bleeding should come from waxing. The Brazilian wasn't clean either - the woman who did it used the same strip over and over. The same can be said for the eyebrow threading - I had to ask them to go over it again and clean it up. DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF. Stay the f*ck away read more

First one was quick You can take either the N or R train to 23rd street and walk uptown. The place is on the second floor. As you walk in, there are two chairs where person are seen to be having their eyebrows threaded into perfection. In the back, there was a mirror where it slides open and there were two mini rooms where it fit a bed into each. The service for the wax was efficient and quick with powder, wax and oil. Skin was smooth afterwards but there was some hairs sticking out that were forgotten. Second visit, I had an appointment, but it was for Saturday at 5pm. This is not the best time to come here. There was at least 4 people waiting and customers already in the service chairs and beds. Jotyi was the only person working the benches and the front desk, but she's nice so I decided to wait with patience. Same service as previous visit. Third visit, I learned to come on a Tuesday morning around 11:30am, was happy that i did. There was just one customer getting her brows done. They now accept cash only, which is fine because their prices aren't high. I will come again when I'm in the area. read more

I felt discriminated against I got told that there was a tax and was told to go in the bathroom before while the under lady wasn't. The lady was very rude to me the whole time and I just felt uncomfortable and I still tipped her after the fact and just left. She rushed through the whole wax and kept telling me don't buy off of Groupon , hence why she wasn't giving me good service. I went to another place from Groupon and they treated me very nice. read more

Most of the negative reviews I see are regarding eyelashes and personally I've never gotten that service done at wow. I've been getting Brazilian waxes here for almost a year now religiously and it's one of the best in the city. Extremely affordable and amazing customer service. I used to have Mary wax me but she hasn't been in for a while, now I go to Lena and both ladies are a blessing! Extremely thourough, professional and quick. I recommend getting the sugar wax instead of the chocolate if you have sensitive skin. The people complaining I really don't understand, if you want extremely high end service then go elsewhere and pay $75 for a Brazilian but if you want to save money this is the place to go! They're worth it! I will continue to come here as long as the prices remain as low and the service remain as exceptional. read more

2.5 rounded down ... As many others have mentioned, this is about as no-frills as it gets. I called for a leg wax and got one within an hour. Came a little early but was able to start immediately! I did mention multiple times I've never had waxing done (just Incase she thought there would be something important to mention) but she just shrugged it off. The wax goes on super quick with some rolling tool and they pat away with the paper! Very quick ... but also very VERY sloppy. She was honestly pretty "nice" (very low bar here) but the job was sloppy and I was twisting and turning in weird positions the whole time because she gestured me to turn? (which is why I mentioned I'd never gotten my legs waxed- was hoping she'd tell me something about how to sit or lay or stretch out ...) it just ended up in patchy and inconsistent waxing since she didn't just do it by area. Regardless, it wasn't as painful as I expected but I quite literally left the "salon" with patches of wax on my legs, leaving me feeling gross and sticky. She definitely did her job though- no hair on most of my legs. Missed some places but I didn't expect much. The inner part of my thigh has red marks (not just typical redness) and the walk home was terribly uncomfortable... it was a Groupon deal and I ended up paying $15 or so plus some tax and tip. I'll survive paying that price but god bless any one who pays the full price for these services .... they got the job somewhat done but I won't be back! read more

I've been meaning to write a review for this place but haven't gotten around to it! I've been going to WOW Threading for almost 2 years now because you really can't beat the prices here. But for a little over a year I've been seeing Leena every 5 weeks to get a brazilian, eyebrow and lip threading! My first experience with her was amazing! She was very personable and comforting. I was so amazed by her great customer service and how accommodating she was! Leena really goes above and beyond to make each appointment better than the last. I also feel that she always looks out for my best interest. And she never fails to disappoint me! I highly recommend trying out this spot! read more

This place is my go-to for waxing. I mean yea it's not quite your local luxury boutique waxing salon but I think it's as good as it gets. I've tried waxing from higher end places where the prices are easily 4 times more than WOW studio, but for me, the results haven't been that much different. These ladies are very professional, and I've probably been going here for the past 3 years now and never had a problem. They are very clean with the way how they do their job, and maybe the interior might be a bit off-putting, but I assure you that they are professionals and can probably never get a better deal in the city. read more

I had a terrible experience After 3 days of waxing I had blood clots on my underarms (pictures attached) Maybe the person who was doing it didn't control the temperature of the wax while doing it Also I was forced to pay 20% or 25 % tip Also hated the rooms so small and untidy not clean at all But recently I went to this other salon named UNIQUE THREADING SALON 23rd street This place is much better cleaner and also I wasn't forced to pay a tip They happily accepted whatever I gave them Offcourse if I'm visiting a salon for the first time until I don't love it I'm not going to give such a high tip Hated the attitude and service too never ever going back there. read more

I went there with my gf, she got lash extensions done via Groupon. Terrible looking, I mean u get what you pay for...in life, and that place as well. They also blamed her for having small eyes. Great spot for eyebrow threading. Clean, fast and I always leave very happy plus the prices cant be beat in the city. However, I was disappointed the last time I went in as the girl doing the threading was not wearing a mask. Obviously it's not required anymore but I would be way more comfortable if someone who has their face super close to my face and many many other people daily was wearing one. Someone asked her to put one on and she said that she couldn't because she keeps the other end of the thread in her mouth. I've been to multiple other salons both throughout the pandemic and recently and none had a problem using a different technique. read more

Came in here by accident thinking it was another place I have been before. I did the chocolate Brazilian wax and similar to what other reviews have mentioned. The woman who did my wax tried to up sell me to get the sugar wax by saying my hairs were too thick. I have done a Brazilian wax many times before and I never had anyone tell me this. The funny part was that this wax was less painful than my other experiences. She did a good job in getting the hairs out and making my experience less painful except for a small patch which she said was too short to remove (note she did cut my hairs prior to the wax being it was too long). However, I didn't like how long she took to do it (seem like she was inexperienced in doing this kind of wax) and I believe she was using the same strip over again to remove hairs. When we were done, usually the person leaves the room so I can get dressed, but she stayed and waited til I got up to get my bottoms which was weird. She left leaving the used strips and the little cup of wax left on the waxing bed and this seems so dirty to me and don't understand why she didn't throw it in the garbage. Overall, the prices are cheap, but I think you're better off going somewhere else that has more experienced people performing the wax and is more sanitary. Also, I was about to use their bathroom until I saw the sink was clogged with yellow water! read more

I went in for a full Brazilian service. The lady was not friendly at all, she came in with the wax extremely hot and put it directly on my bikini area! I let her know it is too and she continued without blowing the wax to cool it down. When I got up I realized my lower bikini area had hard wax all over still and everything was sticking to it (took me two days to get it off). All together that was the most painful and unpleasant wax I've ever experienced. Definitely will not recommend! read more

Me and my friend just came here to get my eyebrows threaded and I've never had such a worse experience. Let alone removing way too much hair and making my eyebrows, that are naturally thick and fluffy, extremely uneven and haphazardly shaped, she only acknowledged her poor work after I brought up my concerns. She also was picking up the phone and answering calls while threading, which is highly unprofessional. All in all, terrible experience and I would not recommend. read more

Do not go here for eyelashes. I purchased from Groupon but I decided to get the single full lashes. I paid $60. I asked the lady who did my eyelashes if the final result will look natural. Anyway when I opened my eyes I wanted to pull it all out. It's so unnatural looking. I could've done myself. It was done so messy. I was trying to save some money thats why I went to this place but lesson learned. If you want a natural looking eyelashes, go to "Ilovelash". I did my previous eyelashes there. read more
