My 84 yr old father-in-in-law has been in dispute with WOW for 9 months--since May of 2020. WOW cable service stopped suddenly around May 8 during COVID crisis. There was no response from WOW on phone calls, email or visits to their (suddenly abandoned) office in Dothan. We returned the equipment, and sent a letter cancelling service and requesting a refund of the May prepayment. Instead, WOW continued to bill my father-in-law for ongoing service. After months of trying and after 3+ hours waiting on the phone, we finally talked to a customer service rep in the summer. He said the issue was taken care of. Nevertheless, WOW has not refunded the prepayment and continued to bill. This is the worst customer service we have ever received. read more

Having been a WOW customer for over two years with internet only, we have experienced minimal trouble. We have never required a technician for anything other than the original install. Excellent connectivity, no buffering and stable connection. read more

Dothan, Alabama I have been trying to upgrade my internet package for 2 weeks now. I was told a local service representative would contact me within 24-72 hours. That's didn't happen so I called back and was this time told a service representative would call within 24 hours. Didn't happen Again. My third call I was credited 20$ off my bill And told give them 24 more hours. Again no call. I'm getting ready to switch internet providers soon. I would NEVER recommend using WOW to anyone. I think I see spectrum internet in my near future. WOW locale customer service in Dothan is an absolute joke. How hard is it to pick up a phone and return a long time customers call about upgrading an already existing account. Absolutely patheti!!! read more

Overpriced for service that is lacking and low quality equipment. DVRs that are over 12 years old (15 the technicians said) that only have 12-14 hours of recording space. Cable tech installed a faulty cable in my house causing low signal quality. I figured it out after replacing the cable with an old one I had in my garage. And bingo, no more digital drop out. Priced way to high for lack of channels available. They are charging more than my old service in other states, even with using my own equipment. I had HBO, used their DVR, and WiFi modem for less money than this company charges. Only reason I use WoW is because they are the only company servicing my street. I should give them 1 star, but after I fixed my signal it does seem to be working fine now. read more

Incredibly poor customer service. Due to moving out of state, I terminated my service and turned in my WOW provided equipment in May of 2020. WOW continued to bill me after service was terminated. In July, finally got WOW to terminate monthly charges. Have been attempting to be refunded for overcharges ever since (it is now November!) and still have not been refunded. WOW service center refuses to provide any help and simply provide false statements that I will be contacted by the local office. All calls to the local office are routed back to the service center. AVOID BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

Absolutely every single time we have bad weather, like tornado warnings etc and have it on the Weather Channel or a local news station it will switch to QVC! That is crazy! We have no service today, and of course we would all like to watch SEC football. But worst of all they are IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. So yes- we are switching Monday... read more

Tried to order internet through the local number it went to call center who said he would write a ticket and have the local office call me my in 24 to 48 hours I thought I called the local office but he informs me they can't take orders at the local offices. I would rather pay more per month and get better service read more

Where do I start? I've had their service since they bought out Knology and I have been discontent ever since. It's been a continual progression of regression. From taking away the channel guide on the cable service because I only had the basic package (who in the world doesn't provide a channel guide on the tv??), to taking away several other channels because the network owners wouldn't negotiate on price to their satisfaction (although when they dropped the channels they certainly didn't drop our price), to charging extra for sports channels that we don't have the option of dropping, to using the most complicated billing statements I have ever seen, that differ from customer to customer (some that show a charge for a particular service where others don't, even though both customers pay that charge), which of course accomplishes making it difficult for customers to compare notes. I could go on but will just mention the latest frustration. They understandably closed their local office when the COVID19 pandemic hit - but they haven't opened it again!!! Their office is set up so that it would cost them precious little to put up shields in front of one or two bank-style windows and follow regular safety guidelines that every other business in Dothan is using. But no, they seem to have figured another way to pinch pennies at their customers' expense, while we have to talk to someone in Turkey or South America who may or may not be able to take care of our problem. And if they can't, they escalate our complaint to Dothan (or maybe they don't) and if the Dothan office manages to return our call in the next day - or week - it is usually when you are not home, and they sure don't try twice, so you have to go through the whole fruitless process again. The only good things I can say about this company is that their technicians are great and the service is only infrequently interrupted. read more
