Negative 6 Star Rating!!! CenturyLink Has robbed me of Internet speed for years. They have refused to upgrade their service hub within my area because they're too cheap to do so, so the speed goes to a sluggish crawl to being completely unable to use due to no service. I have been with this company for years, around eight. I paid for internet speeds even though I was not getting the full Internet speed that I was promised. I have been raked across the coals of their horrible internet service and customer service experience for No reason except CenturyLink does not care, it is not loyal to their customers, which I have been loyal to them without the fore knowledge Of what the problem was all along for years- CenturyLink. There is nothing that CenturyLink can do to repair a customer relationship that has been disregarded and treated as worthless. When CenturyLink's promises are not kept, services are not provided as presented and Lies are told over and over again about the reason why- it's time for me leave... My time is valuable, the days, months and years of my life dealing with these issues CenturyLink can not repay me for, ever! I hope Elon Musk puts CenturyLink out of business. Good riddance! I was without internet for 13 days before I recieved another modem. I had to call as bout 4 times. The first modem went to an address downtown. They asked for my physical address 4 times before saying UPS would deliver on Friday, 7 d as us after the original modem quit. The following monday after spending about 20 minutes on the phone I thought we had this monster whipped. The 2nd modem was to be delivered on 2 Aug, 2018. The next day on Aug 2, i recieved an email saying it was to be delivered on the 1st. None of this was making sense so more phone calls. On Friday August 3rd I did receive the modem. Would I EVER refer centurylink to any of my friends? I'd rather stand in front of a firing squad! read more

Last December (2021), I transferred my parent's phone service because I could get much better rates with another company. CenturyLink kept billing my parents. I called in March to correct the issue. They said that they would and send a credit for the balance. It's now June 2022 and my parents continue to get bills. I called again. As soon as "the representative" checked the account, I got "disconnected". 15 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Another 15 minutes later I got another rep. He said that it's now taken care of. We'll see ... read more

I am being gracious giving them one star, I signed up for their phone and fiber optic internet 3 weeks ago and still haven't seen an installation person. The come up with excuse after excuse. I just moved into a very nice subdivision with fiber optic internet but have no choice but Centurylink or go DSL thru Dish network. Worst company ever. read more

Terrible internet services. Our old modem died in May after providing at least fairly reliable service. We were told that we had to call yet another number to have a tech come and install a new modem, and it had to be Centurylink in order to be covered for services. The tech did arrive on the day scheduled and installed a new modem/ router. The internet seemed to work well about a week. Then started noticing it going on and off, then the dreaded red light completely. Long story short has been out last two weekends, and at least several partial weekends before that. So I went on their FB page and commented and had someone from the Dothan, Al area call me from their office. He is the local engineer was pleasant and helpful in telling me the next steps. However, the next steps are to call once again someone in Tx I think , deal with them in getting a local tech to come back out, and probably install a new router. One that works more than 75% of the time would be nice. In looking at other comments in this area, it appears most are very dissatisfied with their service. So what every week I have to call and complain and get a ticket for their tech to come out and replace modems or repair lines? I would give them a 2 out of 10 on a scale of 1-10. Only that because it works sometimes, and they gave us credit for the many days without service. Worse than AT&T cell service which has dead spots everywhere I go and i'm close to their towers. read more

This is the worst internet service around I swear to God!!!! I pay for 25MBPS and get only 16 tops? I have gone round and round with these people with no help. Today a technician was supposed to show up to fix it and he never showed!!! This is not the first time this has happened. You as a consumer would be wise to stay away from this crappy ass service. read more

Called their customer line to help find out whats wrong with my internet and was on hold for at least an hour.After an hour wait, only talked to one customer rep, and got my issue solved. read more
