Just had WOW BAO, in Woodbridge, VA. Bao in Chinese means bun. It's one of the closest I've come to a SF China town pork bun in a long time. They do 3 main chicken dishes with rice, baos & potstickers. And that's it. Keep it simple stupid. Cha siu bao is how it's pronounced in china town which translates to "barbecued pork bun". I recommend, it's not expensive at all. read more

I spent over $50 to order the king paint, Orange, and teriyaki chicken bowls along with an 8 piece potstickers. First, I was disappointed in the serving size, was worried when I saw the presentation of the food, angry when I tasted the disgusting flavors. It all went in the trash. They will only get me once, I will NEVER order from here again. read more

The food from this place is positively horrible. It's not even visually appealing. I spent a small fortune getting it Ubered to us, and it went in the trash. We tried, we really tried to look past how nasty it looked in the hopes it tasted better. It's awful. The rice has the texture of ?? Uncle Ben's? It's certainly not rice you'd find in any actual Asian restaurant. The bread part of the bao wasn't too terrible, but the filling was mushy and tasteless. Spicy Mongolian beef? No spice at all. Hope it was actually beef. The soup dumplings were tiny, only 3 to an order, and had zero brothiness to them. Just a firm hunk of filling. Will never ever order from here again. Fast delivery and although pretty tasty, I was taken back a bit with the lack of size of the boa in addition, the boa's which I've had in the past would have a great deal more contents within them. Again, if I had never had these before, I would love them however, if you've ever had boa in the past, you will definitely agree with my review. Needs to be bigger and needs more contents in them. read more

Omg - I ordered the kung pao chicken and 2 bao. The boas were soggy are barely had anything in them. So flavorless. The kung pao chicken looked and tasted like someone pulled their pants down and relieved themselves on white white rice. Yes y'all, I'm talking #2. So disgusting. I had to spit out the rest of my bite. Over salted and just a horrible after taste to it. NEVER AGAIN. THE MOST DISGUSTING MEAL OF MY LIFE. read more

I love dumplings so I was excited when I found out about this place. I was also excited to see vegetarian options! I ordered the vegetable dumplings and bao via takeout. The dumplings were awful - the top part was rock hard. They tasted like reheated frozen dumplings. I've never had bao before so I didn't know what to expect, but it was pretty flavorless and parts of the bun were hard. The order also came with no dipping sauce for the dumplings. Maybe the food is better if you order in the restaurant, but I'm not going to give this one another try. I rarely leave 1 reviews but this was just bad. read more

I was craving some kind of Asian food and I was looking for something tasty and savory so I found WOW BAO on Uber eats... Let me tell you something, it's more like WOW It's BAD more than anything. I am an Asian myself and I am not a snobby one when it comes to Asian food but, the food was barely warm, soggy, tasteless, and not very memorable at all... I might not know a lot but when it comes to rice, I know a little and it's clear that WOW BAO doesn't place its money in their quality... The rice was a very cheap kind of rice and it was discolored in which it made me question whether it was old rice from the day before... The teriyaki chicken's flavor and the Kung Pao chicken only was differentiated by sugar... the teriyaki was a little more sweet and the peanuts that were suppose to be cooked with the Kung Pao was clearly placed on top of the dish raw and it was just very salty peanuts and didn't taste like it belong with the dish... For $9.99 the portion was very small... I know that this is America and we are use to bigger portions but seriously, the portion to price ration was very poor... those are the only two I can put in ratio because clearly the quality isn't there... If you are to ask me which I would prefer, PANDA Express or WOW BAO, I would answer you without hesitation that the answer would be Panda Express... I am sorry but I am not sorry. This place is OVER PRICED and it has POOR TASTING FOOD QUALITY. read more

We got one of each of the bowls available. The flavor was good, but it is a small portion compared to most chinese restaurants. We also ordered the vegetable pot stickers which were over cooked and rubbery. Again though the flavor wasn't bad. Overall the food tasted good but for the price and quantity of the food just not sure I would order again. read more

This place is a new found gem! We have been looking for some good bao in the nova area and came across this place on grub hub. Delicious! We had the bao buns teriyaki and beef, both so flavorful and the perfect portion of filling to bun! Also had the pot stickers, some of the best post stickers I've had, didn't need any sauce for them, so flavorful! This place exceeded my expectations! Great job Cooks! read more
