I've been visiting firehouse subs for years and it still gives me exactly what I need. A satisfied stomach!!! Yeah this location is dope because of the people that work inside. I am always welcomed when I enter the restaurant. I truly love each sub except for the meat ball sub. I'm just not a fan of meat balls in general so no fault to them at all. I asked about adding a few extra toppings to my sandwich and the woman helping me was patient and friendly through the entire ordering process. Ordered using door dash a steak and cheese sub and it was the tiniest sub I had ever seen! And going back to my order I saw where it was my error. I say that because I had to scroll down to check off that I did not want lettuce or tomatoes on it and when I scrolled back I clicked on a sub that was 3-4 inches long and that is what they delivered. I have never seen such a tiny sub ! I had to go measure this masterpiece and it just made it past the 3" mark by 2" wide . And of course even though I stated NO lettuce and NO tomato, there they were? I know it was close to closing time since the manager had gone home or who cares where, he wasn't there, but he did leave a very nice lady in charge who took my concerns and apologized to me for the error and offered me another sub if I could come back in when they are open.? I love firehouse subs but this store is run incompetently. First the earliest pick up time they allow is more than 20 minutes, which makes ordering ahead mostly pointless since you could go to the store and order in less time. They consistently don't include your side pickle with your order. But the event precluding this review is their refusal to honor the national firehouse subs promo. I ordered a gift card as part of the promo: buy a gift card get a free sub. I ordered the sub, the order goes through no problem. I show up and they can't find my order. They find my order and tell me they don't do that promo I have to purchase something. The cashier then starts taking other peoples orders before resolving or passing me off to her shift manager(I assume), she only tells me that the shift manager will help me after I'm standing there while she ignores me and helps two other customers, then she tells me I can take a seat, she's waiting on her manager. That manager comes out and is on the phone with I assume her manager who keeps asking where I got this promo, when I got it, how I got it. She then tells me they don't take these at firehouse subs and no firehouse subs does. I could only use the promo at the store I bought it from(the internet). Calling the firehouse subs customer service number I noticed on my exit, they assured me that this is not the case and they should have taken the order. A long time ago, in a state far far away....I first tried Firehouse Subs while on vacation in Florida. Now I couldn't remember specifics I remember the name stayed with me, and that they had a lot of different hot sauce choices. Flash-forward a couple years, and on a trip to the Lube in Fredericksburg I saw another Firehouse Subs, and memories of delicious subs flooded into my mind. Was this just young hindsight fondly remembering food of old or did Firehouse Subs really put out a solid sub? Today I can safely answer that question with a resounding: YES! Yeap all those years ago I did enjoy a great sub at Firehouse. There is not much to dislike at Firehouse, quality bread, meats, and toppings. I've been sticking to the Italian sub since the one in good old Woodbridge opened up. But I promised myself to try some of the others soon. The whole hot sauce thing seems more like a gimmick then anything. I mean I like spicy stuff but I've never really enjoyed putting hot sauce on my sub. On that note I still usually grab a bottle and sprinkle a couple of specks on my chips to try out the different types. So far the standout for me has been Gator Sauce from Florida. The house sauce CAPTAIN SORENSEN'S® DATIL PEPPER HOT SAUCE, (yeah I copied and pasted it because I'm lazy), is a good sauce if a little sweet. Next time I go in I'm looking to try Al Gore's I Invented Hot Sauce. Two more things to mention the Coke Freestyle machine is awesome. It's really fun to mix and match all varieties of soda. Sometimes with severe consequences, and sometimes with refreshing results. Next don't forget to round up your meal, the difference goes to help something I guess. Can tell right away that this location violated several franchise rules by using cheaper materials for their subs because the bread itself is comparably smaller to the ones I'm used to at other locations. Not to mention that I had to run to the restroom as soon as I finished my dinner, thanks to food poisoning from this sub. I've always loved Firehouse Subs, they're some of my favorite meals. However, I have consistently had issues with this location. I typically order a sub without peppers or onions on it, but my sandwich usually ends up with one or the other on it. This is an issue because I have a severe food allergy. I've also received a small sub when I order a large, an occurrence which has happened twice in the past three months. Not really happy with the service I received here. I just went online to order my meal via the app. I was right down the street so I got there a few minutes early. Since it was a hot day, I decided to sit inside and just wait until my online order would be put in the "Rapid Pick Up" shelf. As I am sitting there, I am right in front of the "Rapid Pick Up" shelf and I see it is empty. So the time came for my order to be ready but there was nothing there. I wait about 5 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready and I decided to go to the cash register to see where my order was. It was clear that the workers in the store probably couldn't tell I was there before, so I believe the assumption was made that I just walked into the store. So I asked the worker where my online order is. She says oh it's been ready it's just that we took it back and put it on the back counter. Now remember I was in the store minutes before the order would have been ready and then I was sitting there 5 minutes past the time the food would have had to be there and the shelf was empty. As I stated before, I think she really didn't think I was in the store previously. There is no way the store put food out there minutes before it was supposed to be picked up and then didn't leave it out for the time it was supposed to be picked. It's obvious that she simply did not put the food out but she didn't think I would notice because again, she assumed I wasn't in the store to notice. I understand when people get caught up or they forget things, but I don't like lying especially when it is to cover up bad customer service. It's ridiculous to think that I made an online order, but the only way I would have gotten it is that I had to go to the cash register to get it, which kind of eliminates the convenience of doing it. Going forward Firehouse needs to do a better job of training their employees for this process, but as for this location, they just lost a customer. read more

My wife and I decided to enjoy a quick dinner on 04/11/14 at 9:00 at the only sub venue that is worth eating at. As always, the food was hot and delicious, and the service was fast. We enjoy the subs so much we've started to visit this location one to two times a week, and really have no reason to visit any other sub places anymore. We also enjoy exploring the myriad kinds of hot sauce, not to mention there some really excellent hot sauces for the connoisseur that enjoy flavor over heat. But what occurred on t and last visit to this location as completely unacceptable. It is a shame because the food really is good. Like all the other times we've dined in, we will have 2-4 hot sauces on the table. Half way through our meal, a gentleman, who I presume was the manager (due to how he was dressed) ask my wife if we were done with the sauce. My wife indicated no, that she was not, and the man asked me if he could use it to refill. I accepted, thinking he mean he was going to refill our bottle. He returned the bottle, and told me to let him know if we needed more . I had smiled at him assuming he had refilled the bottle, and I balked when my wife explained to me (she could see him, I couldn't) that he poured more than half from our bottle to restock another bottle for another customer. There was so little in our bottle, he put it on the table with the cap down, and told us to let him know if we would need anymore (when the bottle was nearly empty!) My wife and I was so upset that that we didn't finish our meal, and left immediately. We did not even want to speak to the manager. We sent a complaint to corporate, this was what he responded: "We're sorry that you received service that prompted you to contact us, and we regret any inconvenience or frustration that your experience has caused you. I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding that I had with you. There was another customer who wanted the same sauce, so I wanted to give them some, and then return the bottle. I also mentioned that you let me know if you needed more, I would have given you more. We like to empty bottles one at a time so we can maintain freshness. " This was unacceptable! I don't care what's your way to maintain freshness. This was too mean to take the half full bottle away when we were still using it, then returned the nearly empty bottle to let us know I could asked for more if needed. That's okay, just keep your bottle. I won't use it anymore, and won't return to your store anymore. read more

It wasn't until I went to order and was greeted with bright eyes and a smile that went from ear to ear that I felt as though this would be a excellent dining experience. I originally ordered my food to-go but due to the friendly atmosphere I decided to eat in. I opened my box and was greeted with the pleasant aroma of fresh meats and beautiful steam coming off my sub. Delicious! I'm not a sub/sandwich fan, but I have wanted to give Firehouse Subs a try after learning of them a year or so ago. Tonight, I got my chance, and my family was impressed! The quality of the ingredients was obvious after the first bite. All of our food looked, smelled, and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilli, as well, and my only complaint it's that it seemed a tad thin, or "soupy" (which could be considered a preference issue rather than a complaint). The place is brand new to our area (not yet open a week), but I was able to place or order online. Paying for the order online was buggy so I chose "Cash," and paid upon pick-up.
