My PT said because of this my prior PT sessions were actually hurting and not helping. Very long wait times. I sat in one of the patient rooms for 45 minutes to see the doctor for him to finally come in and just say "wear a boot" and that's it. This doctor asked if I ever wanted to run again. I'm in my thirties. Yes, I would like to run again. Is this not a sports medicine clinic? I asked for my medical records so I could see a different doctor and that was nearly a week ago. No response. They don't really seem that interested in getting patients healed up. If they are there's definitely not a sense of urgency. They do offer shockwave and PRP injections but neither are covered by insurance and the research on these treatments is mixed. They won't say that though. If you want shockwave, go down the street and there's a beauty and health clinic that offers it for 20% less. They may be good surgeons but my treatment plan has been very confusing and I am still in pain daily.

Clearly, he provided care based on what they wanted him to care for instead of taking care of what actually needed to be taken care of. I had two torn ligaments in my knee and was only given therapy 4 four weeks. As of today, after being released, my knee is still swelling and unstable and he has released me with maximum medical improvement. On my last visit to him,my appointment was scheduled for 11:00 am. I arrived at 10:50 am and was placed in a room for over an hour where he never came in until time to close for the day. They closed early to go view the eclipse. When he entered, he stated that he was ordering 4 more weeks of therapy at an outside facility and never scheduled it. Instead, he sent a Maximum medical improvement to the insurance and released me. Still today, my knee is unstable and swollen. Clearly he works for the insurance company and not the injured employee.

Bethany has a unique ability to both comfort and challenge, blending grounding and activating exercises with such seamlessness that I felt fully present in my body for the first time in a long time. Despite the emotions and physical sensations that bubbled up for me during class, I felt a sense of safety under her guidance and emerged feeling so grounded and clear-headed. Alive and Well is such a beautiful space... I encourage exploration of the many amenities that they offer in their lounge and locker room, and 100% recommend that breathwork with Bethany be added to any wellness routine!

I believe Alive and Well has strong potential to deliver an exceptional experience; however, I…read morecontinue to feel disappointed by the level of service provided, particularly given the amount I invest as a client. To date, I have spent several thousand dollars across their services - I am currently enrolled in the Elite Family membership ($400/month), have purchased the functional medicine package ($500), and have also transitioned my medspa services (e.g., botox, etc.) to their practice. While the membership offerings themselves are appealing, the overall experience has been inconsistent. For example, the locker room amenities frequently fall short of expectations. In the evenings, the water is often empty, which may seem small but is not in line with the standard one would expect from a "luxury" facility - especially one that includes a sauna. Additionally, my boyfriend has experienced similar issues in the men's locker room, including a lack of available towels. These recurring issues detract from the overall experience. My functional medicine appointment was a positive experience. Rebecca provided a thoughtful and comprehensive review of my bloodwork along with actionable recommendations. However, the follow-up experience has been frustrating. When I reach out through the patient portal with questions, the responses tend to focus on promoting additional memberships rather than addressing my specific concerns. For example, when I recently inquired about peptides, I was directed toward a peptide membership rather than receiving straightforward guidance. I prefer a model where I can pay for services as needed, without the pressure to enroll in ongoing memberships. Overall, it feels as though the business model is heavily centered around enrolling clients in multiple memberships, which makes it difficult to access continued care without additional commitments. This approach has impacted my experience and may ultimately influence whether I continue seeking services with Alive and Well. Medspa services with Kelly are great. She listens and gives great guidance! If you are strictly going for the spa (sauna, cold plunge, massages, facials), it is a beautiful and relaxing environment. However, if you plan to add the functional medicine package, the experience may shift from relaxing to frustrating due to persistent upselling and pressure to enroll in additional memberships.

When I requested a refund for the overpayment the office gave me the run around and outright lied to me several times about what insurance covered. And, they will tell you that they have to keep your credit card on file. After my first 2 visits when I didn't return they called me saying I owed them over $200 more! Additionally, Chang Lee lacked professionalism during my first visit when he seemed very hyper and laughed numerous times as I discussed my symptoms. I overlooked this at the time but thought very inappropriate and almost did not return for a second visit. But I decided to give him a second try. It was after the second visit that I decided this was not the acupuncturist I wanted to see and now I know my intuition was correct. Very unprofessional front desk. Very bad billing practices. I spent an inordinate amount of time going through insurance records and trying to "prove" a refund was due only to have the office manager argue with me each time, even though I emailed copies of the insurance records. Both visits they asked for me to pay a higher amount than my copay, which I did, then asked for me to pay for X-rays saying insurance company usually doesn't pay, so I did. Then my insurance company paid for all. When I emailed screenshots from the insurance company I got no reply so I sent another email and asked for a response and here is what I got: "Due to not cooperating with us in answering our calls we will not discuss this on email. This terms should be discuss in a proper manner. When you are able to discuss it with us you are more than welcome to call our office at the number below. In our office we take great pride in the services we render to our patients. There was no proper discussion so they will be no final decision." Seriously??? What professional doctor's office sends an email like that??? First, I had no idea they called because they didn't leave a message. Second, why couldn't they just respond to my email? When I called and asked the office manager why she didn't leave a message she lied and said my voicemail box was full. It's never been full and I checked again and it wasn't. There are too many professional and better acupuncturists and functional medicine practitioners in Dallas where this kind of nonsense doesn't happen. Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.

I went in and met the owner, Gabby, a very young woman in her 20s, and loving the services and wanting to support a young business owner, I bought a monthly membership and additional services on top of that. At the end of 2023, I paid over $2,000 for NAD and went through the entire first round, which I hated. It was 4 days straight, 4 hours each day, and it made me feel awful. Gabby knew I definitely did not want to do this again soon, but convinced me to purchase an NAD credit for $400 and said this would remain on my account whenever I was ready to do it again. In 2024, I got very sick and spent 9 months in the hospital and the following months healing. I was excited to get back to my life and went to Restore to claim my NAD credit only to be told the credit was gone and expired. Gabby then pointed to a "90-day policy" on receipts, but there is absolutely no mention of this anywhere on my receipt. To make matters worse, I've spent thousands of dollars at other wellness and spa centers on service credits and I've never experienced this. Those credits always remained on my account until I was ready to redeem. And the idea that NAD was "bought specifically for me" and therefore couldn't be honored later is ridiculous. That's not how the industry works. if I paid for it, it should be there. I will be canceling my membership, but conveniently they don't allow this option on the app and I will have to contact them directly to cancel.

My cardiologist later confirmed that I had interrupted a potential event. In his words, I caught this just in time. Without this diagnosis, I am convinced I would have suffered a stroke. If I had lived through it, my life would have been irreversibly changed. Instead, I now consider myself as having been given a second chance. That gift is not just for me, but for my family as well. My gratitude runs deeper than words. I hold Dr. McFarlane and the entire Cooper Clinic team in the very highest regard. Their approach to preventive care is not just medicine--it's truly lifesaving. I've been coming to Cooper since my 30s, and this was my fifth visit. Each time I've been impressed, but this time, their thoroughness and expertise made all the difference. If you are considering whether preventive care matters, take it from me: it is an absolute gift. I will be forever in the debt of the Cooper Clinic.

My only concern is that they have closed their Willow Street gate, which is forcing their patrons to make illegal U-Turn (blowing past the No U Turn sign) on Preston Highway and causing a lot of honking, close calls, fender benders and outright accidents for which Cooper Clinic could be held responsible - should be held responsible. They are so busy making money - they just don't care.
