The two guys who installed the new system were consummate professionals. The new system was up and running in three hours and they picked up all debris before they left. The new system is much quieter than my old one and is cooling the house nicely. They were timely, they were reasonably priced, and they did good work. The five stars are absolutely deserved. I will not hesitate to use this company again and I will recommend them to my friends.

As of 10/8/2026, my address is still wrong. My awesome Technician Mr. Chris Brooks-Mitchell drove to the wrong location. Nevertheless, he found me & arrived on time. He checked my HVAC while explaining what was happening & training his helper. He was very Patient/Friendly & a knowledgeable individual. He sent suggestions on getting an Indoor or Outdoor Surge Protector. The house is not that old. Need more research on that. As a new customer, I was happy with his service.

I scheduled a routine fall heating tune‑up for my elderly mother, and the technician immediately…read moreclaimed there was a coolant leak in her AC system--despite the AC working perfectly and the appointment having nothing to do with cooling. They quoted thousands in repairs, then brought in a sales rep who pushed aggressively for a full system replacement costing nearly $10,000. The pressure tactics were extreme, and my mother, who is elderly and easily overwhelmed, felt intimidated into putting down a large deposit. I later learned the technician had not performed proper diagnostic steps, including a required pressure test, before claiming a leak. When I requested a second opinion, another HVAC company verified with documented testing that there was no leak at all and the system was functioning normally. They could not reproduce any of the issues claimed by the first company. Based on this experience, it appears this company attempted to mislead and financially exploit an elderly customer into purchasing an unnecessary replacement system. I cannot recommend this company and believe their business practices warrant investigation.

Taking time to write a solid review on these guys…read more My upstairs bedroom seemed to be getting VERY warm on these hotter days and I was worried my AC may need coolant. So I called Childress. 1. Very professional reception/scheduling office when I called to set up an inspection. 2. Derek and Chris showed up at my house ONTIME and did a full inspection of my AC and Heat system. They checked the coolant levels and basically told me that everything looked fine. The reason my upstairs bedroom was not cooling off on hot days is because I do not have an attic fan in my attic. They could have tried to sell me a flurry of BS things to cool the bedroom but instead they gave me solid professional advice and ways to get the most out of my AC until I have an attic fan installed. Derek was very comfortable with me asking questions and always had a direct and confident response. He told me about their annual service plan that I could purchase and the features it came with but not in a doom and gloom "salesy" way. I declined it, I might consider it after the summer. These guys are pros. I will be using them if I need this type of work again.

Excellent experience with these guys. Booked the initial date for the estimate ... Hunter (and…read moreteam) showed up on time. Great conversation. Very professional. My current water heater was leaking (turned ou a large crack). It sat on a very primitive wooden stand. Estimate was literally $900 less than provided by the company that works with the Large Box Hardware store which I had initially contacted. Plus they provided a very nice METAL stand for free and included my Vet discount. 2 days later (per schedule), Hunter showed up ... again on time ... and installed the heater. They also installed new faucets (part of my original request). They were all wrapped up within 1 1/2 hours. A follow-on note ... Subsequenetly, I felt that my shower water pressure was terrible. I thought that the heater needed to be set to 140 (vs. the recommended 120) and asked them to re-set. Hunter thought it might just be sediment in the shower head ... I pretty much scoffed at that idea, but he took it down worked on it for 5 minutes and then ... WOW! all the pressure I needed w/o having to increase the temp (the latter which would also have increased the operating cost!). Now since I had called them out for this 'extra' service I was fully expecting that I would have to argue that I shouldn't have to pay an extra fee ... and guess what ... that never even came up. Bottom line ... the guys are professional, fast, courteous and I would absolutely recommend them! I've been trying to establish a network of LOCAL companies (here in the Locust Grove area), for my electrical, plumbing, etc. requirements ... and for sure I've found my Plumber!! Still looking for a tree/lawn service that doesn't rip me off!!
