I called at 7am on Monday and to my surprise someone answered the phone. They arrived at the property when they said (9am) and started to work. I thought the prices were high but for such good service, you can expect to pay. $255 to drain the hot water tank and $250 to replace the water filter. Ouch! Matt and Rusty came out to our house in order to repair some plumbing which had been incorrectly done by a previous home owner. We also requested Matt and Rusty to cap an old gas line for the fireplace as my husband and I were purchasing a new insert. Matt and Rusty worked hard to fix all of the improper plumbing and find the gas line which became more of a scavenger hunt, which was not Matt and Rusty's fault. The scavenger hunt was a direct result of a previous home owner. Matt and Rusty were extremely helpful, professional, and kind. In December, we had a shower head break inside the shower wall. Thomas came to recover a lost well pump and replace it. The first company that came was unable to remove the old pump after five hours of effort, and they left it stuck with no way for me to get it working. Long story short, our entire well system decided to stop working less than 2 years after we moved into our house. Hey, things happen. Even though the financial aspect of it wasn't fun, our priority was getting drinking water again so my mother (who lives with us), our cat, dog, my pregnant wife, and my two year old could drink water again safely. After being ghosted and lied to by two previous plumbing companies, we found Plumbing Innovators. It took less than a week to get the situation resolved, and the reason it took that long was due to me moving the money needed to perform this task around. Had I decided to do it the day they originally came out, they could have been back in two days. Thomas and Zach came out, did the job, and I could not ask for anything better. They were professional, clean, and very nice to my little girl, who even though we kept her out of their way, you can imagine she was curious and tried to talk to them. They were also very nice to my dog, who was very hesitant of them and decided to bark at them a lot, but they never took offense and tried to be friendly with her. Well I attempted my first DIY plumbing job by installing a new faucet and boy did it go south. I made an error and I needed help. I called their number and Chad immediately answered and explained to me the fees involved since it is the weekend and an emergency service. He was very courteous and understanding with my situation. Chad and his co-worker Joe arrived within the hour. They looked everything over and started their repairs. Chad and Joe even took the time to give me some tips and pointers for future plumbing projects. They had to replace the supply valve on the hot water side due to my mistake and got everything tightened up. They did numerous tests to ensure there were no leaks. We had a surprise water leak on a Sunday afternoon recently. We were able to get a quick fix via emergency services. We contacted Plumbing Innovators the next day based on a recommendation from Robert B. Payne's Heating and AC. Matt and Joe arrived on time yesterday to securing fix the leaking pipe, replaced and improved our main water line coming in from the street adding new pressure gauges, cut off valve, and regulator. I called, on a Saturday, because our shower was backing up with ick. I was referred by a local plumber who said Plumbing Innovators was the best when it came to septic issues. And he was right. within an hour, two plumbers arrived and diagnosed the problem. In windy, rainy conditions they cleared the line from our house to the septic tank and the shower problem was resolved. Diran, in particular, was not only extremely professional, but helpful as well. He diagnosed an issue with our all house filtration system, and immediately called his boss to discuss when they could come back out to take care of it. I contacted Plumbing Innovators accidentally! It's Covid19 season and they had the audacity to tell me they had $150 up-charge just for coming out. Firstly a lot of people that are not even working. So why would you charge up? I told him no thank you. These guys still showed up at my house. I wasn't home I spoke to them through my security system asking them to leave my property. They jumped! They could not believe that my camera was talking to them. However they still persisted in investigating my problem. They then called and told me it would be $1400 to make the repair. I told them I asked you to get off of my property. And I reminded them I asked them not to come. They proceeded to ask me for $150, telling me they'd wait until I arrive. I told them absolutely not. I informed Plumbing Innovators, my phone calls as well as the conversation I had with them on my property had been recorded and I was not going to give them a dime. They left without further ado. Gas hot water heater died. Thank you for the most positive sales and installation service experience today. I called in morning and team arrived 1.30pm SAME DAY. They welcomed and said Hi to my kitty so he was most curious. The 2 installers explained what was wrong in layman's terms. They gave an estimate, explained what was covered and what was not covered by the 6yr parts and labor warranty. So I compared with the estimate with one I had received earlier. I had a problem replacing my disposal and had no choice but to call a professional. Found Plumbing Innovators on here and called. Mind you this was at 3pm on Saturday. Mike answered the phone and was very professional in his response. He told me that he had to deal with another call before me but that he'd help me. I figured that it would be much later. Our Septic Tank back up on Thanksgiving Eve. We called a slew of companies who were unavailable (understandably). Made a few calls, asking for recommendations and I was giving their number. If zero stars were an option, I'd choose it. Absolutely stay VERY FAR from Plumbing Innovators--HORRIBLE service, unprofessional, repairs not done as promised, terribly rude technician. Tony was downright nasty with me on the phone when I expressed dissatisfaction that my issue wasn't fixed. He gave me a quote to fix the jets on my bathtub, then after he started the repairs, said there was another faulty part that ALSO needed to be repaired--this possibility was NOT made clear to me upon getting the first quote; he buried it in the fine print of the written quote but NEVER verbally explained it to me--and it was going to cost more for the new part, more labor, AND he was going to have to cut into my cabinetry to do it. But he'd have to cut into my cabinetry in order to even get the price on the part from the manufacturer, so (of course) I'd be obligated to pay whatever he came back at me with, AND end up with damage to my cabinets that I'd also have to pay someone else to fix. My choices were to pay the $375 with no fix, or agree to let him cut into my cabinetry to even GET the price for the estimate, which could have been anything. When I told him this was terrible business practice and that I was displeased with his not having properly communicated the probability of a much higher cost, plus damage, before starting work that I now had to pay nearly $400 for (with NO FIX), he got nasty, blamed me for being upset about it, and swore at me when I persisted that he wasn't doing good business. Mike and Tom and helpers did an excellent job. Well pump replacement. Purge of iron in pipe to house worked. Water is now excellent. Called late the day the pump stopped. They sent out a team the next day, did all the work. Shocked the well with bleach and return-flow cleaned the pipe. Made sure the pipe was clean next morning. Little things--cleaned up, booties in the house, made sure the crawlspace was locked up, regenerated the water treatment, made sure everything was turned back on. Inspected the reservoir and replaced the valve. Usual need for me to run water in house to clean out those pipes--to be expected. Now the water is clear, fast, and plentiful. Thanks, guys! read more

I hired PI to replace a bad sump pump. All other companies I contacted couldn't come until hours/days later or never returned calls(it was an emergency; we were standing in water) PI return calls promptly if they don't answer directly. Very friendly, tells you costs before starting job and talk 'to' you not 'at' you. Respectful of my home by wearing shoe covers and cleaned up after job was done. Extremely disappointment. Called and scheduled an appointment with no problem, on the day of the appointment was called and told they were running late and would be here at noon. Never heard from anyone and called back to find out that they were going to be much later and by 2pm still heard nothing. Very disappointing that no one at this company cared enough to follow up or even call to give an update. Just because you have a lot of work doesn't mean you treat customer badly like you just don't care. I'm in the medical profession and run an office too there was no care or concern for me or the people that I help. Pretty bad customer service. Having a Rinnai tankless gas water heater that was new in 2008 that often vibrated, I searched for a "certified" Rinnai service company. The company that installed the unit is not certified and recommended Plumbing Innovators (PI). Michael from PI came out and immediatly notified me that the gas regular was improperly installed to close to the Rinnai unit and the low end and high end gas pressures were incorrect and he adjusted them. A call to Rinnai, and their techical staff confirmed the improper location and that the regulator needed to be 3 to 5 feet before the unit, instead of being connected to a 4 inch pipe nipple from the unit. The original installer wouldn't return calls. Their company name isn't important, but they're based off Route 218 (White Oak Rd) in eastern Stafford County just before the county line with King George. Since the original installer was obviously unwilling to correct their error, I had PI come back and relocate the regulator. No longer any vibration! Thanks Plumbing Innovators. read more

During the midst of COVID 19 stuff they came a day after I called, were early for the appointment, but called and texted first to verify that was ok. Very friendly, professional gentlemen came in, put on booties to protect our floors, and went to work. They quickly diagnosed the problem which was far less serious than I had expected. They could easily have gone along with my diagnosis and charged me 3 times as much as they ended up charging, but instead they pointed out a very simple cause of my problem. 15 minutes later, problem solved and we were presented with a very reasonable bill for services rendered. First let me say that for any of my plumbing needs I will call plumbing innovators. This review is rather late, because I just recently started using Yelp. But I had a problem about a year ago, where my basement bathroom was flooding and I couldn't figure out why and I was expecting the worst. I called Plumbing Innovators and they sent out someone at no cost which is really unheard of these days. The young man could not find anything wrong and recommended I call someone who can check if there was moisture behind the walls that might be sleeping through, did that, still nothing. The problem persisted so I called PI back and a different gentleman came out to check. He was just as baffled by the situation as I was. But then a light bulb went off and he started asking me about my septic tank, even though the water that was flooding my basement was clean, I wasn't sure where he was going with his questions about my septic. He told me that there are filters that are in there that need to be cleaned occasionally (I had no idea, my parents septic was underground growing up and I never knew of a thing) and with me having a water softener system that flushes itself and self cleans that the back flow from it to my septic could be causing back pressure and pushing the water up in my toilet bowl. We pulled the cover off the septic and sure as the sun rises the filters were clogged. We cleaned them off/out reinstalled and I haven't had a problem since. "Hose bibbs shall not be supported by PEX tubing. Hose bibbs shall be anchored to prevent strain on PEX tubing." Per the PPFA and Plastic Pipe Institute RESIDENTIAL PEX WATER SUPPLY PLUMBING SYSTEMS DESIGN GUIDE page 68. Tubing shall be run continuously and as directly as possible between manifold and fixture locations. Approved fittings may be used to repair kinked or damaged PEX distribution lines, or to add to a distribution line that was mistakenly cut too short during installation. Excessive use of fittings is unnecessary. -There are 8 fittings in just the 2.5' wide closet. I'll be tearing that garbage out and fixing it as well. Each one is a future leak waiting to happen. They installed roughly 10 feet of water line, from an alcove, through an interior wall (drywall) and through an existing access point in the exterior wall where the previous hose bib was. Total cost $945 (roughly 2 times market rate) a few years later, their hose bib installation failed and is leaking water. Without even disassembling and checking it, they chalk it up as a frozen pipe. The bib itself is a Woodford model 17 freezeless, that just screws in to their Rube Goldberg assortment of pex and fittings (pex manufacturers installation instructions specifically state to limit the amount of unions between source and appliance, each one is a potential future leak). The first problem I noticed is that the union going into the exterior wall is not anchored at the union. Pex installation calls for one there. This genius apparently thought the 2 exterior screws would suffice and hold the valve stem at the required installation angle. I also know for fact that the garden hose was disconnected in the fall and just reconnected this past weekend (I both disconnected and reconnected it), my mother is 73 years old and lacks the mobility to do it herself. Richie carte blanche blamed it on a frozen pipe, due to not removing the hose, utilizing a troubleshooting technique known as 'unfounded guess-work'. To top it off, he wanted $380 to install a $32 bib which would take less than 30 minutes to fix a very apparent workmanship problem. I told Richie what he could do with himself and told him to get off the property; I'll fix it myself and backcharge them. Preliminary examination looks like they crushed it into the copper piping they failed to remove from the original hose bib and the valve stem is sitting at an upward angle instead of at a downward angle as it needs to for drainage and freezeless operation with hose removed. I'll be sure to record the removal of the old one and post the link publicly. I wouldn't let these guys plumb a straw in a soft drink. Save yourself money, go elsewhere. read more

I loved them from the beginning, Mike was the only plumber that took water from the well tank. All the others did not. They just tested the inside water. We had sulfur smell and large amounts of iron in our water. After testing, Mike was able to tell us exactly what we needed, why it was needed, and the price. We were not pressured.
