I had to have a tankless water heater replace and they were able to do it quickly during winter season just before Xmas. They gave me a competitive price. My only concern is that during the original installation they did not place the seal to the outside wall and the winter cold came thru. I had a fantastic experience with this company yesterday. I'm a new homeowner and found out that there was a toilet valve leak. I initially called another highly recommended plumber who said that he couldn't access the valve and he would have to cut a hole in the back and replace the water heater, etc which made no sense to me. He said it would cost about $3,000. The leak was small, and this didn't sound right. Good thing I trusted my instinct and got a second opinion from Right Now plumbing. I found their information from a mothers listserv that I'm part of, where someone recommended them. My technician was Nick, and after calling, he was at our property within 2 hours. He was able to find the problem and completed the job for $225. Everything was seamless, and I was so relieved I found this company. Johno just left my home after repairing my tankless electric water heater. I can't thank Johno enough for the great work he has done. RightNOW was very responsive when my water heater stopped working and came out to assess the problem on the same day. Johno ran tests and contacted the manufacturer to confirm his assessment of the issue. He provided a work around until the part could be shipped so I would be able to have hot water when needed. This was an extra step I wasn't expecting, and while I recognize had the problem been different, it may not have been possible, I really appreciated that Johno sympathized with the prospect of cold showers in January. When the part came in, Johno installed it and I couldn't be happier with the kind service, showing up when he told me he would, and the explanation of the issue and a couple ways to remedy it. He took the time to explain the work and the cost and offered solutions for the future. He installed additional parts to help me maintain the system in the future- not something one would expect a company to provide when maintenance is a service they offer. We needed a new water heater installed right before we headed off for vacation. Not an ideal time but we thought it would be a quick and not too expensive item to deal with. Well..... we were wrong. Just like everything these days with Covid and in the NOVA area -- much more expensive and complicated than we thought. BUT RNP came to our rescue. They were very responsive, had the best rates in the area and did the job in one day. We sought out several quotes. We would highly recommend RNP. The only reason for one less star is that I do feel all these companies are adding a NOVA charge to everything. As a military family we know what things cost per area of the country these days. My water heater was leaking-what I thought for a couple weeks but was told it was much longer. I tried for 2 weeks to find someone to come & replace it (I own a mobile home) but most companies do not do mobiles. A very reputable plumbing company referred me to a couple businesses that did mobile home plumbing. The 1st one I called said he would be over but never showed after 2 days. 2nd one I called actually came out after hemming & hawing for 2 days that something came up, & actually drained a bunch of rusty water into my bathtub. It was getting late because he didn't show up until almost 1330 so left the rust & told me he would call me Sun to let me know if he would be back Sun or Monday-said he had to get some buckets to drain it & yada yada-still have not heard back & that was LAST Sunday. Anyway-the leak was not getting any better so I called Right Now Plumbing to both change out my water heater & set a toilet. These guys are PHENOMENAL!! Eddy came the same day & set my new toilet & the water heater was to be changed out Friday-per my schedule. I got home from my part time job & Tony was already there working on what needed to be done. I cannot say enough good things about this company & the professional guys (all 3 of them) that came & got right to work on getting the things done so they could swap water heaters. They went WAY above & beyond & were extremely professional. I would use this company for ANY plumbing needs in the future & the price was very comparable. Again-these guys were great & I have a new water heater that only took them about 4 hours to swap out. It was in a tiny cubby that I was amazed they even tackled!! On the plus side, they honored a price they gave to me 6 months prior to install a tankless heater, water softener and reroute some pipes for the bower remodel. On the negative side, the installation has made it a challenge to get to some furnace filters. The salt container was set right in front of the furnace and when even partially fully with 4-6 bags is difficult to move. The water softener could have been installed elsewhere. The install for the pipe coming from the ceiling for the overhead shower was extremely cockeyed and when he found that the pressure control valve was bad, he was going to charge $700 for $100 part and 30min of labor. Based on all this, I ended up having to make a cart for the salt container to move it around. I had to go in the attic to correct the poor install of the shower pipe to come straight down from the ceiling (had to by parts for it). And I negotiated the pressure value replacement to $350 installed. read more

Horrible experience and these guys will try to steal every dime they can from you. 3 calls later and nearly $800 in charges I still have a clogged drain! They left by recommending hydro jetting for another $650! Got another vendor coming for hydro jetting for $79! The crew was on time, gave plenty of updates as work was being performed and came in at a much more reasonable price than a few other quotes that we received. I called them to come over on a Sunday as I had an unlicensed plumber cut through my gas line. I got patched through to an answering service, they were nice enough and took down my information. I made an appointment and I had a window of 2-4PM and by 4 PMI called to leave a message to get an ETA. The answering service said they would ask to tech to call me and update me with an ETA. No call back and I called every half an hour and gave the same information and was told they would relay it to the plumber to call me back. The last time after waiting 1.5 hours with no call I told them don't bother coming out. Terrible don't call them!!! Very unresponsive and disrespectful of my weekend waiting all afternoon a a beautiful day. read more

I cannot stress enough why you SHOULD NOT hire Right Now Plumbing. Although they came highly recommended, our experience was BAD from the beginning. We had a collapsed sewer pipe that needed to be replaced. On Wednesday June 2, ** from Right Now visited our home and gave us quote of $14000.00!!! (high, I know) and a start date of Tuesday June 8. On the morning of June 8, we received a call from them stating the city permit was not ready and they couldn't start the work. We know the people in the permit office and when we called to check, they stated that the permit WAS ready and just needed to paid for and picked up by the plumber. At approximately 10 am, the permit was paid for and emailed to Right Now Plumbing. We were then told, because of THEIR neglect, that the work would NOT begin that day as promised. They then proceeded to tell us that due to the possibility of rain, the work would not begin until the following week. It did not rain until Friday ( this is now 11 full days with no plumbing in our house) At one point, we called another plumber who said they could start work immediately at a lower cost, but the fine print in the contract with Right Now stated the $6800 deposit we gave them was NOT REFUNDABLE!!! We continued to wait. The contractor showed up late morning on June 14th to begin work. They dug the ditch , pulled the damaged pipe and replaced with PVC all in that day, but then said the city inspector CANCELED and they would have to leave their equipment there overnight and we may see additional charges because of that. Once again, a LIE!!! The city of Fredericksburg NEVER inspects (or schedules inspections) the same day!! NEVER!! The inspector showed up the next day and left an INSPECTION FAILED sticker due to the fact that NO PLUMBERS were there to meet him. We were then told the pipe would need to be replaced to the main ( MORE MONEY). They came back on Thursday the 17th and proceeded to tear up the sidewalk and the CURB AND GUTTER ( they were NOT supposed to touch the curb and gutter) They proceeded to leave their equipment there until Friday June 18th. The also left the ditch open, with no safety barrier. We had to install our own orange safety fencing around the ditch. All this time and we have heard nothing from Right Now. We have not seen a representative from RIGHT NOW at our residence. NOTHING!!!! In the meantime, we receive a call stating our invoice will INCREASE and we need to pay in full or have a lien placed on our property! UNPROFESSIONAL and SUBSTANDARD. From start to finish, Right Now Plumbing is an inferior plumbing company and you should look elsewhere. ZERO STARS !!!!! read more

They overcharge for any service calls and the first guy came out messed up our faucet. Their technician didn't know what they were doing and actually was trying to get on the phone with the water heater distributor to do a diagnostics with them through the phone. The nice thing is when I called them that my shower was broken because they mess it up, they send someone to come and fix it. They than quoted me $500+ which I have the quote here to fix a delta cartridge behind my faucet which only cost $50 buck at Lowes and a plumber quoted me today from another company $150 to fix including parts. They said it was super easy as all you do is switch off the water and swap it out. They tried to charge me $2000 to get a filter that I can't actually use because it was meant for City water. This company care nothing about you and all they care about is trying to get their money. Horrible and do not use. read more

I was informed by the technician that they would need to order the part to replace inside of my water regeneration system. That was all good and agreed upon. A few days later the technician called me to inform me that he was ready to return to finish the job. Still all good. We scheduled his return for the next day and he stated he would contact me on his way to the house. I was unable to be there so my wife agreed to make herself available. Still good. Where the service went south was when the technician showed up and informed my wife that he was not able to obtain the parts because they were from another company and the technician indicated that RightNOW was not able to purchase them. Something to the effect that the original company won't let them purchase the parts. Not really certain of his bottom line excuse for not being able to obtain the parts. Knowing that we needed our water regenerating and the RightNOW technician had our system on bypass since the time of his last visit, my wife told him to proceed. After all, they had us over a barrel and they knew it. So, along with the additional cost of a new valve, the technician did not hard wire the new valve as the previous one was. Instead he opted to ask my wife for an extension cord and informed her that we would need to hire an electrician to install an additional electrical outlet closer to the system. Mind you, nothing in the system we're moved. The new parts were installed in the exact same location as the old valve. However, instead of hard wiring our replacement valve, I guess the technician felt it was more appealing to leave 30 foot of extension cord lying on my floor and plug it in across the room. When I called to ask for my old valve so I could get it repaired, I was told that he will try to find and return it. I called a week ago and was told the old valve was located and would be returned to me. Still no word from RightNOW Plumbing as to when I will get my old valve. I received less than professional service along with left with no choice than to accept their last minute informed upscale. Pics attached show the end result. read more

We've since used them to replace our water heater, cap off a gas line and fix some other leaky pipes. These guys are fantastic. Called and contacted about 10 other places to replace my malfunctioning (making a loud racket from the build up in the bottom of the tank) water heater. Dealt with Brian who communicated very effectively and provided a very good price for just what I needed (50 gallon gas with expansion tank). His guys actually came out on a Sunday and replaced the water heater quickly, carefully and efficiently. Two good dudes who also answered some minor old house and new owner plumbing questions. Just today a friend of mine said his heater started leaking yesterday and I passed along Right Now's info. He also called the originally installer's name on the old tank, and was told we can send a plumber tonight to give an estimate, but not replace it tonight. I give this business a 2 rating, because I feel ripped off. I had work done to replace the PRV 3/4 part. The part cost roughly $150. I was charged $375. Brian was only here LESS then 30 minutes. So that means I was charged $225 labor for 30 minutes of work. I'm totally disgusted of these companies overcharging their clients. I strongly do not recommend this company. Overall, from start to finish, I was truly impressed with RightNow Plumbing. I got their referral through HomeAdvisor.com. They set up an appointment that night at 6:30-I'd been referred to them earlier since it might have prevented so much water damage. My water heater (second one) was leaking profusely from the side. I was told by another company that morning I needed a replacement. Since that company was unavailable until the next morning and it was already 24-hours, I told Right Now Plumbing that I needed a replacement water heater. Justin was very professional, courteous, and truthful about costs and what needed to be done. He asked me if I needed a water remediation company and asked me if I wanted a consultant to to come during the replacement appointment for a free consult, which was wonderful since I didn't know offhand of any other than Servicemaster--who seems pricey unless you have insurance coverage. In short, Justin was truly good-natured and professional and asked me if the other company brought a pan to prevent from further leakage and about some other factor that was now mandatory. He was perfectly respectful and non-snarky about everything, showing me what I needed to know about the new water heater and even offered to write down on each item with a Sharpie when each part should be replaced when i joked I probably won't be able to remember the timelines. This was all done at around 6:30-8:30. The coordination between the two companies (and Drying Tech of PWC) was incredible. I appreciated how quickly and efficiently he worked. He made it a point to personally show me the various parts and handed the manuals to me. I'd definitely recommend them and will probably call them again for future work. As I said I needed to turn on main water valve, he said he'd already done so: "I know you already had a lot to deal with." So far everything seems to be working okay.
