Nothing is worse than having NO running water in your home. I have a well, and I routinely change the whole house filter in the line between the compression tank and the well pump. This time, when I turned the well pump on, ZERO pressure came up. Zero pressure = zero water. After futile attempts to get the pump primed, I desperately searched for a plumber, on a SATURDAY, late afternoon. 5, 6 plumbers, multiple calls.... including those advertising Emergency service ZERO response. With ONE exception. Dupee Plumbing. Approximately 7 PM, I received a return call from Dupee. Yes, Eric Dupee could come out....that SAME evening. The pump needed priming, but it was a very challenging job that required gallons and gallons of water, which he obtained from the water heater. The pump came close to building pressure on and on, but required more and more water... Eric refused to give up and worked it with determination, until at last, she blew! Pressure..which finally held. Eric spent his evening getting my water back, receiving a shower in the process. He literally saved me from an entire weekend with no water, really a life saver. He also recommended a configuration that will help make the filter change easier. I can't thank him enough. PS. Only ONE other plumber returned my call, MONDAY morning. I can't say enough. I have used Dupee on two separate occasions. Because of the really great service I got the first time, I called them again. I first needed a new hot water heater installed. Eric was professional, kind, on time, and did a complete job retro-fitting to meet code specifications (my heater was 20 years old). When he was at my home to give me an estimate for the water heater, he took extra time to look at a toilet that wasn't flushing properly, and took care of it. This second call was due to none of my toilets operating properly at the same time! Eric came the same day, was very flexible to support my work schedule, and not only fixed the problems, he explained the causes and how to handle them in the future. I teased him that I have him on "plumber speed dial" -- he will always be the one I call for any plumbing issues. He is honest, does what he says, kind and pleasant, does great work and goes the extra mile. I can't say enough good things about him and his company. Dupee was excellent. Sewage was backing up into my basement bathtub and smelled like what it really was. I called several companies and got a service because it was after hours but not with Dupree. They agreed to come by after their last job and arrived about an hour after my call. The problem was worse than I thought, but the plumber had the equipment he needed to clean a very, very long drain and got the job done. For another, when I told him it was an emergency, they worked me in to an already fully scheduled day. Dupee' pinpointed the problem with a broken underground pipe. He was honest with the estimate and when it could be repaired. He expedited the process since it was a major leak. Another company gave a higher bid and was inaccurate on where the leak was. They could have cost us thousands of $ and dug up the wrong part of our yard. We are a military family stationed in another part of the country and Dupee' worked seamlessly with our tenant and did not take advantage of our absence from the property. A+++ read more

Eric's name is at the top of my list for future calls. I had a non-urgent problem with a slow flushing toilet. Eric and I traded emails and in short order I was able to resolve the problem myself. It seems that to Eric, he'd rather I fix something small rather than have him come out and charge for a call (which he naturally would have to do) and leave me feeling like "is that all you did?"
