From the first initial contact with their receptionist who reassured us that everything would be fine until they arrived (and fit us in for a same-day appointment) to the upbeat, respectful, and knowledgeable technicians who came shortly after, we were thoroughly pleased with our experience. The receptionist and both technicians made it a point to comment on how grateful they were to be a part of this company, which in itself speaks volumes about their company culture. More people need to know about this local company because they are absolutely fantastic and very reasonable compared to others in their industry. I bought a house over the summer that was nice but older and I knew it needed a decent amount of work. I saw Culpeper Home Services on Yelp and then happened to notice them while I was driving. In the office, I spoke with Jessica and Tiffany and they were both so friendly and willing to answer any of my questions. First I had Donnie come out to my home because I was told by my inspector that I needed a new panel. Donnie came out and agreed with the inspector's findings and explained the process and how soon we could get started. He completed the work and stayed late to make sure every detail was done perfectly. I then had Stephen come out and he helped me replace my toilets, multiple faucets, install a new garbage disposal and replace my water heater. I had thought about going Tankless but based on my home and the people there he said I didn't have to and gave me other options and we ended up going ahead and doing a 50 gallon with a booster valve. It was so nice because I never felt like they were just trying to get me to buy more expensive they actually listened to me and my concerns. Jessica then called me in the morning to give me an update and continued to keep me updated so I could run errands and not have to worry about sitting at my house waiting all day! I was having an issue with my hot water heater as it was really old and kept going cold within 5 minutes of it running. After Jason discussed all of my options I decided to go tankless! I had to pick up my daughter so I asked him if we could do it the next day. We got it scheduled and he came and installed it perfectly! He then walked me through how to work it and best of all it came with a 10-year-warranty! I hope I do not run out of space This time we needed a switch for our basement ceiling light and Nick could have installed it blindfolded. And at the same time, Dakota and Jonathan were there to detect how we can have better water pressure. He asked us a few questions and we gave him scenarios. He said your pressure tank is fine you may just need a higher level of PSI . Sure enough, as soon as Jonathan installed the new switch we went upstairs and ran the shower. That did it! Maybe, just maybe another company could have said... Well, your tank is 18 years old and you probably need to change it and they would have put a new switch in and we would have spent much more $$ Just saying! I have lots of respect for this company and their staff. The staff was very friendly and understanding when speaking to them on the phone. They were able to resolve my issue very quickly. I needed to have all the pipe joints in the house replaced, and Johnathan Beavers was able to solve the issue. There was an issue that came up during the repair, and this is where my 5-star rating really means something; they took care of the issue, cleanup, etc. and "made it right," no questions asked; I did not have to jump through hoops or red tape. This kind of customer service is what sets them above the competition. While I don't think they are the cheapest company around (they are not the most expensive either), this is definitely an example of value: with Culpeper Home Services, you are getting what you pay for! I would like to take this opportunity to share my experiences with the Electrical team of Donnie Starr and his apprentice Thomas. They were scheduled to mount a new chandelier in my dining room from a 14' ceiling. That task alone was daunting because of the height and they successfully installed this light having to make adjustments to the bar/chain mounting system. Also scheduled for installation were 3 42" flat screen tv's in the living and sleeping areas of my home. These were accomplished using very unique designs of the mounting system and moving the cabling of tv and power behind the tv. Leaving my home in a very clean and functional look.
