I recently purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Worthley's. Don was very customer focused and not pushy. I knew the model I wanted and he did not try to upsell me on a more expensive one. I also viewed other appliances for future replacement. Don spent lots of time with me sharing his knowledge and answering all my questions. The dishwasher had to be ordered and expected delivery was approximately 4 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in less than 2 weeks! Installation was a few days later and went very smooth. I had a 10-2 time frame and Nathan and his helper arrived 11:45 a.m. and finished in less than 30 minutes. They were very courteous and careful not to bump the door way bringing in the new dishwasher and removing the old one. I noticed Nathan was meticulous in his installation ensuring everything was done just right. No more big box stores for me! I will definitely be a Worthy's return customer when other appliances need replacing. read more

I went in looking for a part on 11/25/23. I wasn't sure I'd find it. It was a 20 year old fridge that we had barely used. I had stored it in an outdoor shed. There must have been some water in it because a plastic part to the ice make was cracked and wouldn't hold the pressure, it leaked badly. I went in and they said the manufacturer had no stock on the part. He then said, "Let me no check our stock, there's a chance. We show one in stock". I was shocked when he brought the part out. Super helpful gentleman there. It was my first visit. I'm actually going in today for another part. Highly recommend these guys. I also highly recommend that anyone, who looks at reviews, disregard the few bad reviews especially when there are so many great reviews. Some people just can't be pleased. The one review where Bonnie K left a 1-Star review is epic. According to her review never did business with them after trying to reach them. She left the 1-Star because no one answered her call. So many things could've happened. Maybe they were with another customer, they were in the restroom, they had an emergency at home?? They are a small business...Geeze??!! Some people were spoiled brats as kids and grew up to be bratty adults. Life is short. Remember, it's a lot easier and takes less energy to be nice than to be ugly. read more

If you're in the market for a Speed Queen washer or dryer, you only have a handful of merchants from which to choose. Worthley's was the closest (geographically) of the authorized Speed Queen dealers to our home. When my quarter-century old Maytag washer finally bit the dust, we took a quick trip up here to see what they had. I knew that prices for Speed Queens were pretty standard no matter where you purchased, but the difference between one store and another would be their delivery (and accompanying charges) and their ability to get it to me sooner than later. When we came here on a Saturday afternoon, there was only one employee working. He was helping another customer (obviously with an extensive, multi-appliance purchase), so we mulled around in the store looking at washers and other appliances. After about 15 minutes, though, we wondered if we would ever be helped and contemplated leaving. He must have sensed this, as he asked his other customer to wait while we were assisted. Quick and easy, as the price offered for the model we wanted was competitive. We were told that, due to it being Memorial Day weekend, he would cover the tax (which is a chunk on this type of appliance). Delivery would be in 5 days, with hook-up and haul-off of my old washer included. Delivery charge was reasonable. Sure enough, on precisely the day we were told it would be delivered, I received a phone call at 8:30 AM informing me that they would be here between 9:30 and 10:30 AM that day. At 9:20, the delivery vehicle arrived. They disconnected and removed my old machine, waited for me to clean the floor beneath it and then installed my new one. Fast and efficient, both gentlemen that came were courteous, careful and informative. I was pleased with my shopping experience at Worthley's. They were close, competitive, had what I wanted and delivery/installation was done to my satisfaction. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I contacted this company for a service repair on a Whirlpool washer that was only 7 months old. The service tech came out and stated parts were in stock, in town. I called 3 times over the next 3 weeks for an update. Their office stated parts were on back order and the tech would return my call. He did not return any calls. Wasted a month waiting on these jokers. Finally called Whirlpool for another repair company. Whirlpool washer model WTW5047LW is a terrible product, don't waste your money. read more

Small and homey but The employees all know what they are talking about and will not hesitate to spend as much time with you as you need to make an educated decision between brands, models, features etc. They deliver promptly and professionally. And massive bonus they remove the old appliance with no extra charge. I bought a new gas stove from them December 2006. It was a fairly upper end stove that had been marked down as a scratch and dent to $400 for a dent near the base on a side that would never been seen. I'll happily admit to being frugal and I like a place that doesn't pretend to make scratch and dent deals but actually does it! Prices can be a little higher than major chains because of lack of bulk purchasing power but I happily pay it in return for better, knowledgeable service! {I cannot choose moderate and pricey so I marked pricey for this reason but they are actually in between the two} read more

I've purchased multiple things from this store and I always send everyone I know here however today I tried calling at 2:30 PM on a Saturday it says online that they're open and after calling 13 times and nobody picked up so maybe they're out of business if they're not out of business then on Saturdays they need to get a new sales person that will actually pick up the phone I needed a new microwave and a dishwasher and a oven and headed intended on purchasing all three from the store however They can't sell appliances if they refuse to pick up the phone so I guess I'll refer myself and my clients to somebody else read more

I bought a Speed Queen front load washer and matching dryer several months ago at Worthley's, after learning that the nonstackable front loader would be discontinued in March 2018. My usual appliance shop wasn't able to get one for me and recommended I look here. Worthley's had exactly the models I wanted on display and I bought them along with matching pedestals. When the machines were scheduled for delivery, the shop noticed a dent in the side of the dryer and ordered a new side panel for me, no charge, and made another trip out to replace it, again no charge. Very happy with Worthley's selection and service and the Speed Queen machines kick butt! Our clothes have never been cleaner and it takes me half as long to wash/dry twice the laundry compared to our old machines. read more

I visited Worthley's in November, 2011 because they were one of the few dealers in the Houston area that carried Speed Queen washers and dryers. I wanted the middle of the line washer and dryer, and they had them in stock. This should have been an easy sell. I had cash in hand and was ready to buy. The salesman couldn't tell me anything about the units (only they sold a lot of them). I told him the model numbers for the washer and dryer I wanted. He gave me the list price for them, plus there was going to be a delivery charge, installation charge and another charge for taking my old washer and dryer. Since it was near the holidays, I asked if there was any special holiday pricing for the washer and dryer, and he told me there was...then he repeated the full list price. Normally, I would have chuckled, understanding he was making a joke and the washer and dryer wouldn't be on sale. That's fine. But this guy was extremely arrogant and didn't smile at all. I realized he wasn't joking (I think he was miffed at me because I asked if there was a discount) and he told me he didn't have to discount them because they sold so many. Here's the bottom line: I'm willing to pay full price when there is a great selling and buying experience. But this guy was extremely arrogant and acted like he didn't need my business and didn't care if he got it or not. I was kinda shocked. I live in the west Houston area, and I drove all the way to downtown Tomball to visit this dealer. The next closest dealer that sold Speed Queen was in South Houston, south of Hobby airport on Almeda-Genoa (where I ended up buying the washer and dryer). I'll never go back to Worthley's. read more

We've used this appliance store twice and both times they've upcharged the cost of an advertised part, they're unclear about their return policy and generally have a bad attitude. This time we needed a simple part to repair our dryer and even without talking to us about what the problem might be they just sold it to us, later when it was found that this was the wrong part for a different machine they refused to exchange it for the correct part or refund the money, laughing and smiling about the situation didn't help with their image. In the future we're just going to drive a little further to the Sears at Willowbrook, they have a parts repair shop located on the outside of the store and are willing to talk to you about the issue as well as look up the correct part in the computer before selling it to you. We were able to get the correct part and repair the dryer with minimal issues. We will not be using Worthley's Appliances & TV again. read more

My dryer stopped working Memorial weekend. I called Worthley's on Tuesday. They had repair guy Alex out on Friday. The following Friday after the part came in the dryer was repaired and working. They were very helpful, very polite, and very responsive when I had questions about timing and accommodating to my schedule. I think the price was reasonable. Purchased a Washer & Dryer along with a cooktop. The cooktop was back ordered for 4 months. When it arrived the installer called indicating it was raining and could not come out. When the rain stopped I called back and he said he could not wrap the 30" cooktop in Plastic because he would have to eat the cost if damaged. Seriously.... It would fit in a car. read more

This is my second speed queen purchase from Worthley's, and I have zero complaints. I originally purchased a speed queen washer last year, and I just got the matching dryer after my Samsung died. Purchased the dryer on Thursday and it was delivered and set up Monday morning in about 15 minutes. The delivery guys were professional and took time to answer my questions. The experience I had a year and a half ago buying my Speed Queen dryer was good I wanted Speed Queen and they sold it. The reason I'm giving them two stars is that it's had problems and the service guy they sent out is terrible. He really looked unprofessional and was demeaning to my wife as well as he didn't listen to her or I about what the dryer was doing. He talked to us like we were idiots. I'm not an appliance guy but I knew the problem was the timer because at first it would stop early on a timed load and than one day it switched and now runs until we stop it. The technician tried to convince me that the vent was clogged. I didn't tell him that I had already checked it. He thought he knew more than I did so he proceeded to go outside and pretend to clean it out. To no ones surprise he told us that the problem was the timer, the funny part was when he said the reason that the timer went out was because the dryer was getting too hot due to a clogged vent. That's not even possible. He has not returned yet to install the part let's hope that experience is better than what I have already gone through. read more

I purchased a speed queen washer and dryer from here a few months ago and the sales man was very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the appliances I was asking about. It was definitely a good buying experience. A couple weeks after my purchase I needed a repair done and called to have their service guy, Alex, come out. He was very professional, and fixed the issue I was having easily. He represented the company very well and was highly intelligent. He was able to explain to me what the problem was in a way that I could easily understand. They also took care of the warranty claim for me, without me having to pay anything up front. They did it all themselves. That's definitely something i appreciate. When I came onto Yelp to write a review I was shocked to see the negative reviews considering I've had such a positive experience with them. I did a remodel of my kitchen and a bar area 4 years ago and purchased everything through Worthley's Appliances - refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher and a wine cooler. It was a wonderful experience. I worked with Eric, the owner, and received excellent service. He was knowable about the many different brands they carry and was very honest about products' strengths and weakness. He guided me to the right purchases for my budget and needs. When my appliances were delivered Eric was there to answer questions my contractor had about their installation too. It was such a positive experience that when it came to time purchase a new washer and dryer, I again returned to Worthley's. I received the same honest information and chose to purchase a less expensive brand with greater reliability based off of Eric's advice.
