One area that has been a pleasant surprise in my life this year? Moving into Sawmill Commons, a Dublin apartment complex that has stood the test of time since Earle Bruce coached the Buckeyes in the mid '80s. But you won't find outdated cabinets and small floorplans here: The Casto Communities team at Sawmill Commons has updated their complex recently and made it modern, friendly and amazing for new residents! The environment is superb, quiet and clean. Amy, Deanna, Hannah and the rest of the team are welcoming and answered all of our questions on a timely manner. Leasing was hassle-free and they explained the process well. No BS and no hidden issues. I'd recommend anyone live here, honestly. They have floor plans for all needs. It's in a residential area east of Sawmill Road in the legendary Olde Sawmill neighborhood, so you'll deal with some traffic but you're also close to major shopping and commerce. Our move-in was busy, but calm because the staff was super-helpful. Fixtures work well and the property is very clean. The complex itself has tons of units in many two-story buildings. There is also plenty of parking, trash dumpsters are well-kept and mail is safe and secure. The clubhouse is gorgeous and the water-wheel outside is a unique architectural touch on the clubhouse. In conclusion, although my Bucks may or may not play this summer, I'm truly grateful for my move-in experience. This particular complex is one of the stars of the Casto system, and it is one of my bright spots in a year full of challenges!

Their prompt and efficient problem-solving abilities along with their professionalism and kindness stood out to me. The maintenance team works swiftly, and the leasing office staff are exceptionally pleasant. My time at Sawmill Commons will always be remembered fondly as it truly was a delightful place to call home.

My friends come over and are blown away with the quality of amenities and how nice every little detail is with the interior design. As someone who takes action to improve the environment, Copley Park couldn't make recycling any easier: you just put it outside your door and it is picked up every Tuesday. From my first meeting with Sara when I came in with no appointment to this very morning where I'm going to stop in, I've notice a consistent attention to detail, rapid follow up and an innate curiosity about your life like you'd get from a friend. She even makes introductions to people you might be have common interests with. I'm lucky to be living here. I rigorously researched A LOT of apartments, both online and in person in search of the best combination of quality of living and price. This is it. There's a reason that Copley Park has the highest average Google reviews for apartment in the area. If you are in the market or will be soon, make sure to reach out to Sara or stop in and see her. She actually cares about finding you a new home . The management company differentiates itself from other apartment groups with the training and who they hire.

It is in a busy area off N High, with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, but is set off the street a ways with trees and a little creek. I hear traffic, but it's not totally obnoxious. I love being able to walk down the hill to take a walk on High, or walk to Target, Goodwill, or Aldi, etc. Property mgr. Cindy and her staff, including maintenance, have always been very nice, helpful, and quick to respond. It is well-maintained, and very quiet. There have been car break-ins, but Cindy has made sure that Columbus Police are aware and they do security checks in our lots at night. There has been package theft as well, so Cindy had cameras installed in each lobby/mailbox area, and instructed delivery drivers to leave packages there vs. at individual apt. doors. There is a visitor parking area by the rental office. The residential parking areas require a parking tag. This is all fine, but can be a pain if you have a visitor that, unless you pick them up, has to climb the stairs or walk a distance to see you. The pros: the heated pool opens early in the season and closes later in Sept/Oct. The balconies are huge. I actually have 2 sets of outdoor furniture, along with plants in good weather. With 2 sliding glass doors (one in bedroom and one in living room), there is plenty of natural light. I rarely close my blinds during the day. There is a stackable washer/dryer located behind a sliding barn door by in the hallway. The clubhouse is nice and can be rented. There are resident gatherings and events with food and drinks. After Brenz Pizza opened across the street by Target, they have twice now offered residents 50% off days. The pet fees and storage locker fees are very reasonable. Good security: each of the 4 buildings have locked entrances to the lobbies, with residents needing a fob to enter. There are elevators as well as stairs. Location! Besides being in Clintonville, I can quickly get to 71 off Morse, or to 315 from 161. The cons: there is no gym on the premises. There is a LA Fitness in Graceland shopping center, and smaller Pilates studios in walking distance. I wish there was an ice machine in my freezer. There are some rules, such as only 1 pet allowed, no privacy webbing on the balcony, no wreaths/hangings on the apt. door. I recommend this complex.

I should have know when she made the comment, "650 isn't even a high credit score." & yeah it's not, but you have no idea why someone's credit is low. Wouldn't give me straight answers. Lies about what she knows and doesn't know. Wouldn't even give me the option to have a co-signer. Didn't show us around, said there was too many of us (3) so we showed ourselves. What a shame.

We live in a great community and this apartment has been the perfect place to live for both of us. We live in a 1-bedroom apartment and pay around $858/per month (including laundry, taxes, sewage and water). We wanted to live in a nice neighborhood as well as be centrally located to the highways. He works in Dublin and I work Downtown Columbus. If you're looking for a quality first apartment - this is the place to be. There are a lot of apartments being built around the city, but this apartment is affordable and nice. APARTMENT: The apartment is modern with high ceilings, neutral colors and floor length windows. They have wood flooring with a mixture of carpet, but our bedroom now is getting too tight for us. There's not much storage room in a one bedroom. We'll probably live here another year, but then move into homeownership due to outgrowing apartment living. PARKING: The parking for the neighborhood is relatively tight, but I've never had an issue with parking too far from my car. They plow the snow in the winter months and don't require a parking fee. If you want a garage that costs extra. UTILITIES: We have AEP for our electric and we pay anywhere from $70-$80/per month which is great because AEP has a new energy savings initiative they've implemented for their customers. LAUNDRY: If you don't have a washer or dryer they have a rental company that you can contract through for $20/per month that is added to your rent. We found this extremely efficient since we weren't ready to buy a washer or dryer. CLEANLINESS: Their landscaping is kept clean, but sometimes their can be a trash overflow if the city trash doesn't stop by (which doesn't happen too often). Other than that it's pretty easy to get rid of your trash. SERVICE: They are very customer service focused and I have never had an issue with maintenance. They literally handle your issue within 24-48 hours as long as you provide permission for entrance. They provide the best e-mails to contact so you can receive a quick response from staff. Also, when my keycard wasn't working for an event I was hosting at the clubhouse an off-campus staff person immediately responded to my need. Loved it! Overall, my fiancé and I are both young professionals in our 20's and we enjoy the amenities they offer which includes: a beautiful fountain pool during the summer along with a game room and theater. We've hosted an annual Christmas Party since we've lived here and the leasing agents have always been accommodating to our requests. Also, there is no deposit to reserve the room, all you have to do is leave the room as you found it. * Pet friendly neighborhood and dogs have a grass area where they can play and complimentary doggie bags are provided for waste. The only reason I did provide the apartment four stars was because of the construction that is located right next to the area. The traffic in the morning used to be really bad, but it's gotten better in the past few months. This has nothing to do with the apartment staff itself, but the area in which the apartment sits can be a major deciding factor for future renters. Also, I will say that a movie theater is right across the street along with Starbucks, Chipotle, Bob Evans, J. Alexander's, J. Gilberts and much more. Also, you're right down the street from Worthington Mall and a Kroger's.

It was large and the selling points were the built-in bookshelves in the dining and living areas. There was also a built-in desk in the dining area. The kitchen island was enormous (10'?). It was lovely. Big bedrooms and big bathrooms. It was walkable to bars & restaurants, and a movie theatre. There are pretty trees on the property and a big grassy area for dogs to run. There is a fenced dog park on property and poop bag dispensers. The pool is nice. I used it a lot. The staff host resident events, which were mostly really nice. Right after we moved in, I went to a Friday brunch that included mimosas and good food items. Nice. Another was for Valentine's Day. They had lots of stuff (candles, candy, chocolate, and beauty products) laid out to choose from to make a basket. So nice. They also had a bookcase with books to borrow. I borrowed some, and added some. The garages are $100 extra, but that is cheaper than other complexes. Good response to maintenance requests. There is no third party electric (a plus!). They rent the party space for $50 (cheap!). The negatives: Train noise with loud whistle blowing ALL the time. Upstairs neighbor stomping & dropping heavy things ALL the time. We complained but it kept happening. Trash builds up by the dumpsters. Residents don't break down boxes for recycling and don't use the compactor enough. Exteriors are not power washed. The property mgr left and there was no communication of this or of her replacement. She was very personable so she was missed. Narrow balcony big enough for plants, not enough room for a table or chairs. The mandatory add-on fees for digital lock & valet trash pick up are ridiculous. They were around $20 each, but the valet wasn't necessary since the trash and recycling bins were right outside our building. There is no walking path or park close. The traffic was noisy, but it is located on Rt 23 so expected. We also heard cars racing multiple times, perhaps away from the main road. We did have an issue with a leaking hot water tank that the maintenance guy attended to. He found mold in the washer/dryer area and sprayed it. He said we needed a new tank but they didn't have one available. We never heard another word about it, even though I followed up. I also believe I left some kitchen items in a lower cabinet but was told it was checked. If I did, it was my fault, but a courtesy call would have been nice. My stuff was probably thrown in the dumpster. I think that is all. I wouldn't live here again.
