Just for context, I moved to Stafford in January of 2020 and by March, as we all know, the WORLD shut down. I went with a two-bedroom because I wanted there to be plenty of room for out-of-state family to visit. I'm giving Stafford a 5 out of 5 because of the current management and staff (Beau, Ally, Abby). My experience has shown that whatever the name is on the marquee it's the people that make the difference! I can vouch for the people I interacted with in person and via e-mail and it was professional, respectful, and endearing because I got the impression that they actually cared about the experience of the people that lived there. A couple things, acts of kindness for me, is the staff seeing me out in the rain and offering an umbrella, giving recommendations on churches in the area, after I shared, I was looking for one. Leaving a card thanking me for being a great resident and last but certainly not least, after I moved out the staff (along with the help of the current resident - kindness of strangers) alerted me about mail that had not been forwarded! Concerning the actual unit, I would give it a 4 out of 5 and that is because I'm very particular and I wanted the carpet to be replaced. The carpet wasn't threadbare or anything but I could tell it wasn't new. The carpet had been cleaned but there was still a lingering smell in one of the rooms. I was informed that Stafford (Champion Property Management) was not scheduled to replace the carpet and I was given the option to replace out of pocket. I was glad and relieved that at least I had option to remedy my issue (either pay to have carpet replaced in both rooms or pay to get carpets cleaned again). I ended up not doing anything and living with the carpet LOL! Just a couple more bullets below to summarize my experience at Stafford. - I never had an issue with parking, as in I could always park nearly in front of or very close to my apartment. - I noticed the foliage around the mail box area was starting to get a little overgrown and in the coming weeks they cut it completely down. Awesome! - At one point area walkway to the mailbox had only pavers in the grass (sometimes too muddy) but that was upgraded to an actual poured sidewalk. Awesome! - On social media and on review websites you hear horror stories about experiences with neighbors. That was not my experience at Stafford (#blessed). I had a kind neighbor (older gentleman) next door who introduced himself was neighborly and was always friendly. - The trash compactor was the bane of my existence (I'm kinda dramatic, but ugh I hate trash)! **heavy sigh** I'm not sure what a Property Management Company can do about this situation. The situation being that residents will pile their trash in the chute versus tossing it to the actual dumpster. Except, OMG that I do remember a solution, **shudder** pull out EVERY bag of trash from the chute that was clogging it **shudder**! I forgot that, that is EXACTLY what one of the property management staff did (It was Beau). So once one person (I'm assuming) places their trash in the chute, it signals to all other to do the same? The problem is the chute is not designed to compact trash. **heavy sigh** I'm not trying to be a jerk or condescending I just have to assume that people don't know how to use the trash compactor!!! I want to think that perhaps people are not physically cable of taking their (heavy?) bag of trash and making sure it goes from the chute to the dumpster. At one point very soon after I moved there, I'm assuming Stafford added a long, slender beam type stick so perhaps folks could push their trash from the chute to the dumpster. Just about every time I went to throw away my trash I would use that stick to push others trash bags out of the chute to the dumpster. I'm not trying to give myself brownie points I'm just trying to explain the pros/cons of living in community (the burden of humanity - LOL DRAMATIC!!). - I lived on the first floor (LOL!) and from time to time yes it did sound like a bowling alley above me but such is apartment life! It was fine! - The two times I called for maintenance service it was super quick and the maintenance staff were professional and prompt. - I really enjoyed that it was a newer apartment. I liked the pendant lights and hardwood style plank flooring in the apartment. - I felt safe in my apartment and in the area (5 stars). - I would still be at Stafford now except I wanted a first floor 1-bedroom apartment and when my lease was up they didn't have any available. read more

Client Experience isn't dead at Stafford House Selecting an apartment is a multi-faceted process. Proximity to work, proximity to shopping, floorplan, current state of repair, sense of community among residents - it's a complex decision. Aside from nailing the aforementioned criteria in my case, above all else, Stafford House and Ally White (Stafford House Property Manager) in particular proved that 'Client Experience' isn't a quaint notion from a bygone era. Ally took genuine pride in sharing the amenities of the Stafford House. She was responsive to my questions, she was professional in her knowledge of the area and she was welcoming during a time when most new residents are experiencing the stress of a relocation. As per the property itself, after only a week I couldn't be happier. The design in my unit is efficient but not sparse. The 'bones' are all new-er (washer & drier, hot water heater, HVAC, stove, refrigerator, etc.). The unit was impeccably clean upon my arrival, and Ally's contacts had me internet-enabled on the very first day. I'm within 15 minutes of both my office and all of the Polaris Parkway shopping amenities - freeing time in my schedule which I'll be reinvesting at the near-by Planet Fitness :) If you're looking for a 'white glove' on-boarding experience with your new residence, look no further than Ally and the folks at Stafford House. I was a stranger to Columbus and hunting for my very first apartment on my own when I stumbled across Stafford House. I had actually been looking at another complex nearby when I saw Stafford House and took note. I got a call from Ally and was so impressed by her friendliness and know-how I came in for a tour as soon as possible. I rented my one-bedroom apartment here because of the following: 1. The design and finishes of the apartment blew me away for how much I was spending on rent. 2. The rent prices! I could get exactly what I was looking for (modern, updated, pretty) for under $1000/mo. 3. Location: At first I was worried since the apartment is located in the middle of a commercial/mixed use area but the gorgeous Highbanks Metro Park is five minutes away, I can jump on almost every freeway in Columbus quickly and there is a movie theater across the street. Not to mention you're minutes from the Polaris shopping center and about 15 minutes from Easton Town Center. 4. Customer service! I can always count on Ally to be my champion and help me with any issue or question I may have. The maintenance staff is also incredible and get my issues solved asap. 5. Parking. I never have to worry about finding a spot and parking is free! It's so nice for any visitors. I love living here! read more

During my apartment search in the Polaris/Columbus area, I was impressed with the Stafford House property and even more so with its community manager, Ally White. I had selected two or three properties that I was interested in but Ally at Stafford House was the one that impressed me the most with her follow up, questions and answers for me, and her diligence in following up with me as a potential resident. Even without becoming a resident there, Ally showed that she was concerned and respectful of my time and what I was looking for in a community. Her continual professional follow ups really set this property up as different. Based on my timing, when I came back around, my apartment selection had already been leased but it was only Ally at Stafford House who took the time to check back in to make sure that I knew of her other communities around and was still interested in helping me find a new home in my new area of town. Signed on for a short-term lease and ended up signing on for another year! Newer build, so the paints/surfaces/finishes are clean and modern but also neutral so whatever your furniture color/style, it will look nice. Love the location...Starbucks, great restaurants/bars and even a movie theater within view, so a short walk to all of your weekend entertainment needs. Not to mention, getting to 270/315 is so easy for my commute. I haven't had any noise issues, and having two small children myself I love the mixture of families and professionals within the community. Probably one of the best features is the team at Stafford. Very supportive and responsive to questions, requests and needs...and being a new renter I had lots! Ally manages the office and is the genuinely lovely "hub" of the community- she'll reply quickly to any messages or emails, and follow up to make sure everything is right. When I had a couple maintenance issues they addressed them immediately, then followed up to make sure I was happy with the results. read more

My husband and I had lived in the area about 3 years when a friend had moved into Stafford House. We quickly fell in love with his place and the community and moved in the following summer. We have been here about 6 months now and absolutely love it. The apartment's high ceilings and layout make it more comfortable than the others we have found in the area, and the layout of the community makes it a quaint neighborhood feel among a busy area. The fenced in dog area, putt-putt, outdoor grill and corn-hole area are great ways to relax in the good weather and the fire pit is great on chilly evenings. Our neighbors are great (and quiet) and we couldn't be happier here. The resident manager, Megan, has been great as well. I'm not sure I could come up with a complaint if I tried! read more

I have lived in this community since 5/2016. I was very happy to sign my lease in February of this year and have them hold the unit until the end of May. They even gave me the month free promotion for rent. I was the first to live in my unit, and it is gorgeous. Plush carpeting, beautiful kitchen amenities, two separate bathrooms, and the bedrooms are pretty equal in size. I love how quiet the community is. Parking is not a huge issue either. I have had two maintenance calls and both were addressed quickly, within 24 hours. The office staff is great. Ally is caring and friendly. They have tons of movies you can borrow from the office. They have fun incentives like charitable donations that put you into a community raffle, etc. I have thoroughly enjoyed my lease so far. read more

Moving into Stafford House has been a great decision thus far. Megan was super helpful in setting everything up and was able to get everything done over the phone since I was moving from out of state. The apartment is super spacious and there is more than enough storage which is unique for a 1 bedroom! The location is great- about 15 minutes away from OSU, 20 minutes away from downtown, and about 10 minutes from an excellent mall and tons of restaurants. It is also an incredibly safe area. Facing the main road is a little loud, but nothing compared to a downtown setting. There is plenty of parking and I've never had an issue finding a spot right outside of my door. I would definitely recommend this complex for anyone looking to move to the Columbus/ Worthington area! read more

Ally is the best property manager ever! I needed a place ASAP ( I was relocating for a job from out of state and needed a place right away. And she made it happen. She responds to concerns and emails usually ASAP. The aesthetics of the property and residence is beautiful. I'm inspired to decorate my new house (when I find one) in the same feel/decor. My only complaint is the walls are very thin. I can hear my neighbors conversations or blasting loud music (it actually vibrates the apartment) and walking/stomping around upstairs (even in the wee hours of the morning). Other than that this is by far the most lovely, modern place I've rented in my 16 years of apartment living. read more

Stafford House is an amazing community to live. They are very modern apartments and the grounds are well kept. It was previously owned by preferred living but now is owned by Companion. The transition was smooth and the community has improved tremendously!! The new management is amazing! Ally came in and really made an effort to get to know the residents. She is always willing to help you if you have a problem and make things right. She is by far the best manager we have had here. Stafford is only a few minutes away from Polaris and a movie theater is right across the street along with a Starbucks! By far the best community I have lived in! Stafford house is a great apartment complex that is managed by Champion. Ally is our new manager and she is doing a great job of stepping in since Gabe left. We have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment on the second floor very nice, clean and open. There is some noise but nothing loud or annoying just the normal vacuum here and there or when something is dropped on the floor. They are keeping the grounds clean and picked up. Also, they offer a dog park for your fur babies. We love being close to everything especially a Starbucks that you can walk across the street to!!! We would recommend Stafford to singles and small families. read more

Stafford House is easily the best apartment complex that I have rented from. Working with Ally made the move about as easy as it gets. One thing that was very helpful during the move, was the fact they they set up your electric and cable accounts for you. It made it one less thing to worry about when getting settled in. In the very few times that we needed something fixed or adjusted in our apartment, the maintenance worker had it done in a very reasonable time frame. The community is very quiet and well kept. I have only lived in this community for about six weeks, but I absolutely love it here! The apartments are spacious and modern, the community is friendly and quiet, and there is a small dog park where my pup can roam free-ish. There are numerous fun bars nearby and the area keeps growing. The property manager, Ally, has been incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. My roommate and I even won an awesome basket of goodies in a raffle just a few weeks ago! With BEER! I love living here, being someone who just moved here from New York I'm not too familiar with Columbus or the "IT" spots in Columbus. which made me very nervous when I learned my best friend was coming to visit. I shared my concerns with Gabe from the leasing office and like always, he came to the rescue. I was moving to Columbus in a very last minute decision. I had previously passed these apartments when I was visiting, and it looked beautiful from the outside. I reached out to Ally, and needed an apartment ready within a week, and she made it happened. I'm so grateful for her patience, and her willingness to work in a rush. Stafford House is a great place to live. It has a chic modern design, it is a new apartment complex, and a it is quiet, and a great location for eating an shopping. Stafford House is minutes away from Polaris Mall and a variety of restaurants. An added bonus is the Manager, Ally, from the moment you meet Ally you will feel her warmth, her kindness, and caring ways that she displays every day for the residents of Staff House. My husband and I just renewed our lease at Stafford House for another year. We love the small community feel and Ally, the property manager, is so caring and genuine. She has everyone's names and even suite numbers memorized. Any time we have had a maintenance issue, it has been resolved within 24 hours. Stafford House has been the perfect location for us - it is within walking distance from the Marcus Theater, Starbucks, and Pastimes ($2 beers yay!) and about 3 minutes away from 270/315. Truly enjoy living here. The community is quiet but the residents are friendly and upbeat. Everyone greets everyone else. Home is where the heart is. Stafford House really is home. Brand new and beautiful apartments located within easy reach to a lot of things, marcus theater, polaris mall, highbanks metro park etc...
