Brian does the best gun work. He is thorough, really knows every gun, and helps educate novices. He is ethical and very reasonable. He even bought two guns and was very generous. My law enforcement friends rave about him all the way in LA, yet he humbly treats every customer and gun as if they are important. read more

Did what he said he was going to do and charged a fair price for work well done! And he was quick to boot! read more

Got a double-undercut on my Gen3 polymer frame. Brian was quick (1 week turnaround including pickup and drop off at the gun store), does clean work, and was polite/no-nonsense. Texted quote was honored, just remember to factor in the gun store fee for drop-off/pickup. I'm sure I will be bringing other projects to Brian in the future. read more

Highly recommend Worthans. I was concerned after reading positive reviews but for sight installation etc. I had an 80 plus year old gun that need work. So many people can do night sight install, I have a sight pushier and have done all my own. So I asked Brian if my gun was something that he could repair. He said absolutely. He found the part that was broken, order and repaired the gun in less than 2 weeks. He knows what he is doing and is truly a Gunsmith that can repair and diagnose firearms. PS reasonable priced as well. My sincere thanks. read more

Absolutely the best, fair and honest pricing. Brian has his own machine shop, so he can fix anything and machine parts when they are no longer available. read more

Worthans Gun Works - Trigger Burst Training Center trusts Brian in all their firearms repairs. - Gunsmith Near Me

Brian always does a great job. I will always use him as long as he's around. Lucky to have him in ventura county.

I was referred to Brian through a local gun shop, and it's been a very valuable relationship. Brian at Worthan's Gun Works is the only one I will let work on my guns! Brian comes from a LEO background and has a great wealth of not only gunsmith skills but CCW and shooting knowledge too. Being a fire arms enthusiast, but not having "extensive gunsmith knowledge" OR a wealth of tools, has made it extremely hard for me to modify my fire arms to my preference. He has now done modifications on my Kimber 1911 45ACP including night sites and an ambi thumb safety as I am a lefty. My next project for him be will be tuning the triggers on mine and my wife's matching 9mm M & P Shields. Brian is a cool guy and very fair on his prices he does quick clean work. I recommend him highly. read more

I needed some new sights for my Kimber Ultra Carry. I bought them online and needed a gunsmith to install them. A shopped around in Ventura County for price and turn around time. Brian was very reasonable in pricing at $35 for sights install. You'll have to drop it off at a local gun store in Camarillo. Brian will pick it from there. Local police requirement. I used Knights Tactical in Camarillo and paid $20 for the service of reciving my gun for Brian. Turnaround time for me was 24 hours. Wow. Perfect. So total price was $55. A lot less than others in the area. Plus cool stuff at Kinghts Tactical. read more

Worthans Gun Works - New TruGlo TFX Pro Sights - Gunsmith Near Me

Dropped in a new trigger and muzzle brake on my LWRC. Trigger was installed properly unfortunately the muzzle brake was upside down and crooked. To me an impossible task don't understand how that happened. The biggest issue is I had to drive to the gun store twice. Literally 35 minutes there 40 minute wait in line as soon as I got home and inspected the rifle again 35 minutes each way and this time it was over 40 minutes in line. Luckily the gun store took care of the the problem. read more

I am very satisfied with Worthans Gun Works. They are responsive and prompt. They did excellent work for me and price very reasonable.

Best gunsmith in Ventura County and probably beyond! I'm retired military, retired law enforcement and I don't trust anyone other than Brian Worthan with my guns... if you want it done right every time use this undisputed gun expert!!! read more

I've had Mr. Worthan install Trijicon Sights on my M&P Shield and was very happy with his work and price. I've also taken a couple of training courses from him. He has an enormous amount of experience and left the courses with more knowledge than I arrived with. Definitely want to take more! read more

Brian Worthan @ Worthan's Gun Works has been a total savior for me for the past 6-7 months! Being a fire arm enthusiast, but not having "extensive gunsmith knowledge" OR a wealth of tools, has made it extremely hard for me to modify my fire arms to my preference. I was referred to Brian through a local gun shop, and it's been a very valuable relationship. He has now done modifications on 2 pistols and one rifle of mine, and I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the results! Prompt, polite, professional, and excellent work!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Highest recommendation for Brian at Worthans Gun Works. Extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to offer the best solution for problems I had with a firearm. After we decided what to do, he fixed the problem very fast for a reasonable price. Top Notch Business Man! Thanks Brian read more

I was looking into finding a local gunsmith and I came upon Brian of Worthans Gun Works. He's definitely skilled at what he does and his service is top notch. As others have mentioned, he is professional and friendly. I brought in a rifle (model 700 SA in an aftermarket chassis) to have work done to the barreled action. Mind you, I'm not very knowledgeable about gunsmithing work/services when it comes to accuracy and precision, but I wanted the action to be accurized, rebarreled, have a muzzle brake installed and apply a finish at the end. Brian was able to confirm exactly what work I wanted to have done on my rifle and quoted me a very reasonable price. When I came to pick up my rifle, the work done on it looked great. He even showed me similar work of another customer's rifle that he had been working on. I would highly recommend Brian for your gunsmithing needs. I definitely will seek out more of his services in the future, now that I have experienced his quality work. read more

Honest and reliable, Brian is the best gunsmith I have had the pleasure of doing business with.

Brian is an extremely valuable and knowledgeable professional Gunsmith with an LEO background. I trust him with my firearms due to his lifetime of proven dedicated service knowledge and experience. I had him work on my Marlin 336 needed a drill, tap and install for the front sight. The entire experience with him was awesome. Hands down the expert gunsmith and all things firearms expert in the region. I would only suggest working with him if you want somebody who has dedicated many years to honing his trade and skills. The minute I talked to him I knew I was in good hands. read more

Had my first encounter with a gunsmith. What a pleasant experience. I was blown away - figuratively speaking. I came in to lighten the trigger pull by a little on a Kimber 1911 45. While I admired some of Brian's handy work he took my Kimber popped out the leaf spring in 30 seconds, tweaked the spring assembled it in a minute, tested the trigger pull but didn't like it. Did everything again after giving me some other guns to admire and after assembling the Kimber the second time said try this. Perfect trigger pull. I spent another hour with him and he showed me some great custom jobs. Rifles, pistols, etc. It was a real treat. Brian seems to have the knowledge and tools to do just about anything. Great guy too. read more

A quality and skilled gunsmith. Nothing more needs to be said.

Brian did a fine job installing a new front sight on my revolver. It required some minor drilling and I am glad he was able to do it for me. He did it while I waited, which was nice, and the cost was very reasonable. I plan to return if I need anything else done and I would refer others as well. read more

I was very satisfied with the work Brian did. He did a great job with the finish on a S&W .38 Special Revolver. When I gave the revolver to Brian it had lots of pitting in the metal finish. When Brian completed his work the revolver looked brand new and functioned like new. I also had Brian install sites and a side saddle on a shotgun. His work speaks for itself and I would highly recommend him. read more

I called to get a quote on installing night sights for my 1911. Brian told me over the phone $35. The turn around time I was told would most likely be same day. We arranged for a drop off the following morning I had to go to two different places. He told me to leave it at the gun shop in camarillo. I went to pick it up first thing the next day and was told the price was $50 so I was a little confused.. They worked with me when I said I was told $35 by Brian and knocked off $5 bucks. I gave 2 stars for the lack of communication and awkwardness at the gun shop when paying. And because he also left two marks on my slide from his vise. Thing is I would have been fine paying the $50 if that's the price I got quoted in the first place. read more

Best gunsmith in town!!! Brought my Remington 700 AAC-SD to get worked on and Brian did not disappoint. He not only worked on it on the spot but he also took the time to explain what he was doing. He even gave advice on hunting tips and other firearm related matter. While you wait he also has other great looking firearm he's working on you can admire. Will definitely be back for all gunsmith related fixes. read more

Great gun smith. Reliable, honest and trustworthy. I had a muzzle break added to a .300 winmag. The reduction in felt recoil is amazing and the quality of work was even better. read more

The gunsmith at Worthans is Brian and one of the most knowledgable and helpful smiths i have come across in my 30+ years of handling various types of weapons. He did some work on my medium range rifle along with making slight adjustments to that and a Glock that i neede to have serviced. His skills are what you would expect from a master gunsmith. I chose him as he had excellent reviews (side note: I did notice that 1 person posted a yelp negative review about this gunsmith, but after reading that reviewers history, i realized he only posts negative comments all over,,so that review was of NO value,,just one of those folks who complain about everything,,,sad but true) Brian Worthan is highly recommended, contact him first if you have a complex problem or issue you need him to work on as i found that if you do that, he will set time aside for you. He is a professional and treats all customers will respect and stands completely behind his work. read more
