I love World Market! I feel like a lot of people pass up on walking inside thinking there's nothing for them in there, but they really do have a little bit of everything (except for refrigerated/frozen food). From furniture to snacks to decorations, there's so many gems to find. I absolutely love perusing through the different food that they carry from around the world. I always enjoyed trying sweets but on my last visit I tried some jarred tuna in olive oil from Spain and I was pleasantly surprised! I also enjoyed looking over their ornaments this season and snagged one of the Eiffel Tower since I forgot to get one in Paris from our last trip. Obviously lots of home decor and wares like kitchen cooking equipment, mugs, pots & pans, etc. I think the most interesting aspect is the "world market" part where they have food from other countries such as candies, chips, sauces, drinks, alcohol, and much more. Honestly though, don't get suckered into buying some of the stuff here that you can get at a cheaper Asian or international market elsewhere for a cheaper price (like Buldak noodles or the canned boba drinks that they have). We saw several choices of barstools, but not the kinds that we liked. While we were there, we browsed looking at the other furniture that their store had to offer. This should be called Third world market! I ordered covers for my patio furniture back in August and of course didn't take the covers out of the packages until just now when I need them. I trusted they would fit and now I'm out $200 because they don't fit! Who made them? Gees! It's over 60 days so I can't return them! Well I guess im stuck with crappy craftsmanship! This store seemed particularly organized and well-stocked. I found plenty of stuff to buy, including more exotic items. It's owned by Bed, Bath, and Beyond, which always baffled me since they are so different. I love going through their international food section. I can get Irish teas, German vinegars, Italian pastas, and all sorts of hard-to-find items. The kitchenware is always cool. All sorts of gadgets, glass jars, and magnetic tins. I can always find something I need here. Their furniture always seemed expensive, but I'm not an expert. Staff was super friendly and helpful, so that's always a big plus. read more

I usually enjoy this store but this time of year I'm not a big fan. They have at least 6 check stands maybe more, but most of my Christmas shopping days they only had two open. Lines wrapped around the store. I hate to admit it but Im one of the customers that left my merchandise and walked out. What I've seen other busy retailers do is they have someone up front directing traffic so they keep the lines moving and if a customer left they would know it. Merchandise here is unique and I love the membership prices for wine BUT they really need to have those check stands open at this time of year. read more

Cost Plus World Market is a unique specialty retail store that sells home furniture, decor, and international snacks. The furniture is kind of expensive, but it's still fun to browse around and try them out. Sometimes I see furniture and decor on clearance and the prices aren't that bad. I love getting snacks here. They have a decent collection of Haribo gummies that I usually can't find at other US stores. This is a great place to try snacks from other countries! read more

The manager at this store, older lady w blonde hair, refused my online return said it has to go back directly to the warehouse it came from even though 1. they carried the item in store 2. the website says we can return it at any store and 3. customer service said they should have accepted my return and not refused me...it sounded like it was the managers preference not to accept online items, btw what I was trying to return was just some small cups. The employees are always friendly and helpful. Love the merchandise here so many different things to look at and buy. Sometimes prices are higher than they should be by dollars not cents which sucks because if it were more reasonable I'd be able to purchase way more. I never realized how many cute finds World Market has. I mean, I ended up buying an entertainment stand for my living room from here. Getting here: They are located in Citrus Plaza next to Target. My fiance and I have been inspired by the World Market aesthetic and made countless trips to the store planning our wedding and future home. At the end of last year, I lost my engagement ring during a bizarre set of circumstances which included visiting World Market during the hidden scavenger hunt. The store was called immediately, but it was difficult to reach someone; the first person I spoke with hung up while I tried to explain my situation. Finally, there was a kind hearted employee that checked and let me know my ring had not been found. We returned to the store to look around for it but no luck. A few days later, I returned for an update and was told that the area in which my ring was expected to have gone missing had increased security surveillance dude to prevalent theft. I requested footage of the specific time and location to narrow my search but was curtly denied by who I'm assuming was a regional supervisor. I requested for them to take my information, but they didn't ask for my name, which I feel was unprofessional and made it seem like they were not intending to update me had the ring been found. I felt like the rest of my interactions with World Market associates were condescending and it added insult to the already upsetting circumstances. The only person who was nice about it, even in person, was the one who I had spoken with on the phone the day the ring went missing. I have since stopped shopping at World Market because I did not appreciate the untactful way in which I was treated. It would be awful to shop there again and find myself in a situation where I'm left with another bad experience. In contrast, we stopped by Bob's Discount Furniture and Mattress Store while retracing my steps and even though it was unlikely that my ring would have been there, several employees helped me search for it around the store as well as offering advice. Cost Plus World Market is located in Redlands' Citrus Plaza shopping center and is conveniently accessible via either the I-10 Freeway or I-210. I really don't know how to classify Cost Plus. It's a bit like BevMo meets Bed Bath and Beyond meets the tropics. They have a very nice selection of fine wines, ales and specialty sodas like you'd find at Beverages and More (though albeit not nearly the volume of selection) as well as a nice selection of fine coffees, teas, and gourmet snack foods. But that's only half the fun. The other half of the store seems to be devoted to enjoying all the drinks you bought. They sell many different wineracks and ways to store your wine; as well as wonderful furnishings like tables, dining sets, chairs and other furnished that seem inspired by different locales all throughout the world. Rugs, pillows, Shoji screens, wonderful wind chimes, glass and stemware, soaps, candles and sooooo much more can be found here. The wife and I love this place. Cost Plus is like a crossing Pier 1 with an antique swap-meet. They have a little bit over everything but, unfortunately, not everything they have is a bargain. You can purchase wines and worldly beers along with the appropriate glasses to drink them from. There are great gifts small and large from candies to lamp shades to furniture to rugs. Pricing is high and quality is somewhere between good and meh. Sometimes and I walk in amazed at everything there is to look at, but equally baffled as to who buys any of it. I found that they carry Ramune, a Japanese beverage which is excellent on a warm summer day. So I stop in for a few bottles of this and to browse through everything else. the workers are rude and they don't let y use the restrooms. me and my friend came in today and walked around and then i realized i had to go to the bathroom so we went and knocked on a bathroom doo and an employee rushed out and swung the door open she clearly wasn't using the bathroom and asked if we knocked and we said yea and she said well the restrooms our for customers only and walked away. but i still needed the code and so i turned around and saw another worker so my friend asked for the code and he responded with "don't worry about it" and rolled his eyes. literally didn't ask if he would let me go i asked for the code so i could go. they were both so rude and even if we couldn't use the bathroom either of them could of just said like "you can't use the bathroom if you didn't buy anything yet" but they literally gave no explanation and was so rude. also his name was hunter read more

The furniture is beautiful, and there are many options for beautiful home decor details. I love the food from all over the world, and they have CLEARLY CANADIAN, which is like a more intense La Croix.
