There is a staff member that works in there that is probably one of the rudest people I have ever come across in customer service. I can't believe they have this girl working in there. If you are in the way of the cart while you're paying she says "move" instead of excuse me. Your kids can be doing something that is not harming anything and she will try to yell at them to not do something. If you try to put a cart near her lane she will push against it instead of saying thank you and moving it away. She has a terrible attitude and has no business being at the front of the store. They need to put her to stock or something so she is not dealing with the public.. every time I go I bite my tongue but someone needs to tell her about herself. I frequent Aldi. But I have to say this location has not been looking too good the last few times I've visited. The produce is not very fresh and they seem to be out of lots of frozen food items. The checkout is a nightmare at times with one cashier open and maybe 2 self checkouts even though they have about 5 that are installed. And the self checkout scanners are usually dirty. If they do open another register they send you there before the cashier even shows up. This location has definitely gone downhill since I first started going here. read more

The trash bins outside the store were overflowing, and trash was strewn on the ground. It looked like vomit was on the ground in the cart parking area, with few carts. It looked horrible yesterday. The floor was dirty inside the store and some of the merchandise looked damaged in shipping. I'm not going back to that Aldi anytime soon. No excuse for rainy weather. read more

I do like the variety of cheeses they have here... the new self checkouts help to get you out of the store quicker...they have bargain priced items still...but not as much.....know your prices from other grocery stores....then make your selection... read more

This store has been a favorite because of the produce and quality of the products. I love looking through their aisles and trying new products. However this store has gone downhill lately. Their produce looks so bad. It either seems as if they left a pallet outside and waited until it was wilted to put into the store or it looks as if they have frozen foods like tomatoes and lettuce and then set it out on the shelf. I'm not sure what happened but things don't seem fresh. The customer service here is also lacking. Maybe they are under immense pressure or something but they seem disconnected and most times don't say a single word even when you say something to them. Lastly the trash can outside of this store is always overflowing with bits of trash heaping over the top and falling on the ground. I love this store and I hope things improve. I love getting my weekly groceries and coming home with a table top Christmas tree all in one stop. read more

I love to go here for the fresh vegetables with the best prices around. For example, two zucchinis for $2.79, Three pack of green bells for $1.49, pack of strawberries for $2.79. Compare the prices of their vegetables and fruits to your grocery stores. Plus, their lean ground beef are less than the closest grocery store for a little over five dollars per pound. Somehow this ALDI has way more stock than any of the ones that I have been to in the 626. What the heck ! Not only did they have an abundance of advent calendars and X-mas candles (that the other 626 locations I've been to barely have), they also had all the missing Halloween stuff that I could not for the life of me find at other places. Lots of parking and this location seems to be a bit bigger than the others that I have gone to. If I'm in the area, I think I might just shop here when I have the chance. read more

ALDI is an interesting store concept. The chain originates in Europe (Germany, I believe), where their shopping markets tend to be smaller; and their inventory a bit more specialized. Over the past decade or so, ALDI has taken this concept to the USA. You'll certainly notice a few similarities and differences to the larger chain grocery stores out there; which I'll go over here. So first of all you'll notice is their shopping cart model. You have to "rent" a cart... for a quarter! You heard me. The carts are chained together with a locking mechanism attached to each cart that unlocks when you put a quarter into it. To get your quarter back, you chain your cart back to the others in the cart pen, and your quarter is released. This is an interesting spin on the honor system that works surprisingly well and you almost never find the parking lot with carts left abandoned here and there. And don't worry, if you do not have a quarter, you can go into the store and ask for a cart. You also have to bag your own groceries. The second thing you'll notice is the size of the store and the smaller number of products they sell. ALDI's tend to be smaller than traditional grocery stores; and whereas most larger stores can sometimes sell up to 10,000 different products, ALDIs tend to sell approx 1,200 to 2000 at most. The result is a targeted shopping experience that moves the customer through the store quickly. The third thing you'll notice is they sell a lot of brand names that you probably aren't familiar with. ALDI has a lot of in-house brands. This helps keep costs down, but don't be fooled. Their in-house brands are often as good as IF NOT BETTER than many of the big brand names. You'll notice they have some good brand-name items too, but their prices tend to be higher on those. The Redlands location is located in the Mountain Grove section of the Citrus Plaza complex, right next to a Nike Store. Parking is pretty good here, with ample Handicapped spots and a Chargepoint EV charger a small walk away. One of the things I really like about this particular location is the large windows in the front of the store let in a lot of natural light and give the store a larger, more airy feeling than the store actually is. Their produce is almost always fresh, and locally sourced in California. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. They even have a decent wine selection with some pretty highly-rated wines. There is one annoying thing, and I don't think it's limited to just this location. The limited and variable supply of items you might grow attached to. An example is their in-house brand of unsweetened iced tea that they had for the longest time in the half-gallon jugs, but they no longer carry as of a couple of years ago. This has happened to a few items we really like for some unknown reason. Come to expect the variable nature of some of their inventory. Aldi's has become part of our shopping routine every two weeks. Even with inflation, their prices are more than fair, especially on staple items. I would say we source approximately 60% of our food items from ALDI's every time we go shopping. Even though we live in Highland, the money we save is worth the trip one city over. If you've never been to an ALDI before, stop by and browse around. I'm sure you'll find it interesting and it might just become one of your favorite stores. We love ALDIs in general, but this spot is easily our fave. read more

I don't go here often but I'm surprised in a positive way each time I do! Food: Unlike other Aldi locations, this one is always stocked on produce and more often than not has sale items in stock. There are fresh bakery items and frozen foods available as well. General: Aldi carries a lot of general merchandise, aside from just food. I have seen food storage boxes and general kitchen gadgets here as well. There is plenty of parking next to the store! It is located in Mountain Grove plaza. No wifi available. Shopping carts are available. Disinfectant wipes available at the front of the store to wipe down carts. Everything is well labeled and well organized inside the store. read more

Minorities, stay away from this store as you will be racially profiled and harassed by the cashiers. I was already warned by a Hispanic neighbor not to shop here because the moment you tried to pay at the self checkout, the cashiers would drop everything they were doing, even if attending their other customers, and they would go inspect your cart to verify you scanned everything. But, they would not do the same to the Caucasians or the Asians. Well, it happened to me. Not only was the cashier just staring at every item I scanned, but actually ran to me, left her customer and verified I had scanned every item. This was embarrassing ! I will never shop here again. Hispanics make up the majority of this state and this city, ALDIs will go broke soon by practicing racial profiling on customers. Great prices, fast and easy checkout. ALDI is NOT originally an American grocery chain, and as such, they don't follow all the American grocery store norms. I don't think it's fair to leave poor reviews over this, so here's what you need to know: 1: Bring a quarter. You will need to insert one into the cart to unlock it, and when you return the cart, it spits your quarter back out. Different from just grabbing a cart at Walmart, but you won't see a single cart left behind blocking parking spots or the sidewalk. 2: Bring reusable bags. If you don't have any, they sell some for cheap at checkout. 3: The cashier will not pack your groceries. This is where I think most people start complaining about rudeness, but this is how it works at all ALDIs. There's never a line for checkout because the cashiers are *fast* and focus on clearing the line ASAP. Load up your food on the belt and move your cart to the end. Cashier scans items straight from the belt into your cart. Once you pay, there is a long flat table built into the wall near the exits for you to pack your groceries. Go through the bottleneck of checkout quickly and then take your time packing the groceries. If you can deal with having a quarter on you and spending 2 minutes at most bagging your own groceries, you'll save a ton of money AND be in and out faster than any other store. Highly recommend! If you're looking for a clean grocery store that has affordable variety of food, come here! Most of the items are off brand but taste the same as the on brand. I like how small this store is because it makes it easier to get the necessities. I was at checkout and my mom and I shared a cart. When the cashier Brianna started to ring my moms groceries I asked her if she could separate our to groceries in the same cart she looked at me with a smirk on her face and told me not to worry. After she rung my groceries up I saw that she mixed all the groceries any way and I told her again and she said 'ma'am I did not! telling me with her hand to have a nice day with her hand in my face being sarcastic. Well that really made me mad and I told her that she should listen! while she was ringing up another customer she was telling the customer what had happened (very unprofessional) I then told her I wanted to talk to her supervisor and she said 'Sure! again with a smirk. Long story short the supervisor defended her saying that I was sharing a cart that she did nothing wrong!! I called corporate after I left the store and filed a complaint. When CEO called me he told me they take complaints very serious. Unfortunately It just takes 1 employee with a bad attitude to make the whole store look bad I came across a female employee that was transferring turkeys from 1 glass case to another She was throwing the turkeys,20lb Frozen turkeys, From 1 glass case into another As I was walking by she threw a turkey and it bounced off the others and came very close to flying out of the case Where I was standing fortunately I moved when I saw the potential but the turkey never made it completely out of the case so I stood there staring at this employee and she completely ignored me after about a minute I asked her if all the turkeys were 20lb average or if they carried anything smaller her answer was " NO "! So I walked away thinking " NO WHAT " you ignorant, angry, disgusting peice of human garbage and that pretty much defined my impression of That store. ALDI has great prices and not a lot of fuss. This concept of warehouse-type store with individual sizes has been done by several, and ALDI gets it right with great produce and non perishable options and unbeatable prices (avocados were 39 cents each this week!!!). I like their selection of plant-based options and the staff are friendly albeit minimal (that's one way they keep prices low). The store is laid out efficiently and you can find household necessities (laundry detergent, soap, etc.) at fair prices while getting your seafood, fruits and vegetables and lots of sweet or savory snacks. I really like this Aldi. It ups the caliber for the chain, in my opinion, when I compare it to the other local Aldi stores. It doesn't seem like a discount grocer--the prices are low, but the experience doesn't feel cheap. The layout is comfortable, it's more visually appealing than the others, and I've been very impressed by the professional attitudes of the employees so far. The location is also conveniently located in a retail hub (because let's be honest, Aldi doesn't have EVERYTHING and sometimes you need a little extra at Target) and the parking is easy. I've been a fan of Aldi for a while, but I avoided going to the San Bernardino and Yucaipa stores because they are so poorly placed and not always a pleasant experience. The lay out is great and the store was clean and organized unfortunately the service was not great. The young woman at the cash register was not pleasant. She had an attitude when I pulled out money. I forgot to ask if it was ok to pull out the 100 I needed and understand how that can be an issue. I apologized to her and thanked her for her help. Her response was attitude and her silence when I thanked her for help was telling. If that is what sets you off and bothers you then you will lots of bad days and moments and tons of people will not be happy. read more

When I first stepped inside, I was so excited at all the cheap prices of everything, it was almost impossible to believe. 30 cents for yogurt? 50 cents for an avocado? That's unheard of it nowadays. Anyway I quickly noticed that the majority of products were off brand, and I don't know whether or not that should concern me but to be honest it does bother me a little bit. They do sell a few products of known brands but they are *so* much more expensive than at any other store I've seen. It's cheep so that's one star. It's customer no service so they don't get any other stars. So the quarter to get you to bring the cart back part, ok I'll play. What about the won't bag your groceries even if you're old or it's only a few items or easier or faster to bag it than not bag it part... It's on the lazy side. I have a crate, it would've been faster and easier to put my stuff in the crate but the cashier moved my crate then started to put the stuff down. So I put the crate back then the cashier realized she was filling my crate and started putting stuff outside. Then said "I have to move you to the bagging table". She still hadn't given us back our change! If my crate had been the size of the cart she would've moved the entire cart. This is the type of business you go to when they drop their prices to half what they are now or more and they have no visible staff or only a go get the carts person.
