It is a place to see if you are going to Big Bear. They sell the best jerky I have ever tasted in my entire life. It's worth the drive just to buy the jerky. They also have soda, pops and chips and miscellaneous groceries. Anyone can get their fishing tackle there, also bait or even their fishing license, make sure to get your fishing license before you go fishing because you will get a ticket. They do check at the local lake. You can pick up miscellaneous groceries for your ice chest and a six pack of beer. It starts the bottom of the mountain so if it's snowy, you can always buy some chains there if you need them to finish your trip. They have exceptional service and kind people working there. I stop into the store every time I drive up the mountain. They also sell their jerky mail order. The ambience is very rustic and homey and comfortable. I highly recommend you visit.

They price these sodas at 2/$5.00 or a 4-pack for $8.99. Here is my issue. They stock the shelves as single bottles with none being stocked in their respective 4-pack carton. Every time I'm getting rung up at the register, I ask them about this. I let them know I'm purchasing 4 and should get the price that is clearly tagged on the shelf. It's a literal fight to get them to honor their pricing and at least 90% of the time they will not sell it for the price THEY HAVE TAGGED ON THE SHELF. I've walked out several times leaving the product at the register. The last time this happened, I asked to speak with the manager on duty. When I told her of the situation (and that it happens repeatedl) she apologized and asked me if I could call the next day and talk to THEIR employee to straighten out the situation. As if it's my job to take care of their poor business practices. I'm not a manager there, and I'm not on their payroll. It's their job to rectify the situation, not the customers. If they don't want to honor their pricing, great, take the tags off the shelf. What they need to do is train their cashiers to honor the price clearly tagged on the shelf. That would take all of 2 minutes to accomplish. Another thing they could do is clipstrip some flattened 4-pack holders right there hanging on the shelf (by the tag that clearly states the 4-pack price). It's a very easy situation to rectify. Its not my job, as a customer, to do it. The employees have such a bad attitude when I'm discussing the situation with them. I don't enjoy shopping here. So I don't anymore. As a consumer, I vote with my wallet.

Jokes aside, this isn't an isolated incident for me. I've lost count of how many times I've left this location feeling defeated because basic essentials--like heavy whipping cream or standard grocery staples--are completely missing from the shelves. If you look at other online reviews, it's clear I'm not the only miserable shopper; there are tons of other incredibly frustrated customers dealing with issues at this store, even if they are complaining about different things. We aren't in a pandemic anymore, so there's no major supply chain crisis. Modern stores use computerized POS systems that track customer habits and automatically trigger reorders. Whether the staff just doesn't know how to use the inventory system or the distribution center is treating this store unfairly, they just cannot keep things properly stocked. Frustrated, I drove over to the Albertsons in Redlands (same parent company!). They had plenty of heavy whipping cream and the $7.99/lb ribeye ready to go.
