OLDER, BUT RELIABLE VONS... it's a bit dated on the outside and some corners of the inside, however I've been to this Vons several times and I can always count on it. It's got all the groceries I need, a decently clean restroom, and a helpful (yet grumpy) security guard. I love to buy snacks and pizza at Vons. I didn't check to see if they had cauliflower pizza this time around but they had loads of fresh water. The prepped meals and chicken station smelled wonderful. I was very tempted to buy some fried or rotisserie chicken. There's a Starbucks and a few money service stations inside if that's your thing. Also, the parking lot outside is quite spacious, I easily found a spot. read more

When I shop at Vons, my main items I usually buy is their beef short ribs and lean rib meats of which I can always find at this store. The short ribs price is the same as other places for $8.99 a lb. However, I like to buy the lean rib meat for $5 and today the lean ground beef 10% fat was only $5 a pound, which is a great price! Then of course I love to buy their seasonal Entenmann's. I picked up the pumpkin donut holes and the apple cider donuts for the family. The employees here are also friendly and helped me get my Albertson's app to work and use a digital coupon. I saw my family's favorite Pepperidge Farm cookies on sale for $1.97 each limit four. I never saw them go on sale this low so I picked up four! Ordered cupcakes for a birthday party on very short notice. Usually, I get them from Sam's Club, but they weren't taking any orders for this Mother's Day weekend. So as I was scrambling on Thursday to find a place where I could buy cupcakes for Saturday, I came across the Vons bakery page. What. A. Lifesaver! I placed the order for 3 dozen cupcakes even though it didn't give me any choice for frosting colors. I called on Friday and spoke to a lady named Vicky who left a note for the decorator letting her know what colors I wanted. This morning I called as soon as they opened and spoke to Deborah, the decorator. She was so helpful and had our cupcakes ready hours before our party. Thank you Vicky and Debbie! Whoever's is in charge of frozen foods at this Von's store is not paying attention to rotation of product. I bought these pizzas on 5/19/25, which means they've been expired for 3 months. I'm crossing my fingers that frozen pizzas are one of those products you can buy without putting too much weight into expiration dates, but this is crazy. I've seen this sort of thing at liquor stores or gas stations, but I would think grocery stores would operate at a higher standard. 5:38 PM I come in to do a quick shop to get deodorant only. Everything is locked up understandably.. However took 10 minutes to get two deodorant out of the lock up and not one person came up to help me. An online shopper walked by with his cart, and I asked if he could help me he seemed irritated and explained he doesn't know where the person that unlocks the cases is at. Once I finally received my two deodorants there was only one register open and 15 people in line. I asked the same gentleman that was the only register open and he said yes.. Yesterday I went to Trader Joe's next door to Vons to buy some daffodils. I needed distilled water, so I went to Vons first to get some, and lo and behold there was one check out lane open, and a very long line of customers waiting to check out. So I put the water back and walked out. On top of that, they have locked up so many aisles of products that it is not worth my time anymore to shop there. The store itself is beautiful and usually organized. The produce is colorful and fresh. The prices range from decent to expensive, but they offer good coupons on the app. For the most part, the staff is friendly and welcoming, except for my disappointing experience today with Ruslana who didn't greet, nor bother to ask me if I needed any bags. However, their bathroom is SO GROSS! There's trash everywhere, it smells really bad, and there's no toilet paper dispenser --there's one toilet paper roll resting on the bar, so you know what that means? Everyone who wiped themselves after taking care of their business is touching that same roll before doing so. Talk about unsanitary. The lack of attention to that area is obvious. read more

They don't take COVID seriously and it's not worth shopping there. Earlier today, there was a customer shopping in this store and not wearing any sort of face covering. My wife went to inform management about her, with the manager on duty (a young white male in late 30's/early 40's), and he informed us there was nothing he could do about it. Meanwhile, I'm staring at the sign at the front entrance saying masks are required. The manager on duty walks in the general direction of the woman, does not confront her about the mask, then turns around and opens another register. Thanks for ignoring my wife dude. The same manager is the one who rang my groceries up and when I asked him to talk to the woman, he gave me the same story and made a half-hearted attempt to ask the lady to put a damn mask on. I am always a fan of grocery stores! Why? Because they hold the ingredients to our hearts! Another reason I love this store is because they are open till midnight. Yes, 12AM, read it people, because if you live in the area, most of the stores close at 9-10PM. I live about 15min away from this Vons, but it's ok because I'd rather go here than Food4Less. They have some of the vegan items too, like meatless meat/chicken. Sounds weird, but don't knock it till you try it. They're bakery is no exception either, I guess you can say that the reason why people Yelp about Vons, is because of their bakery. They make all their own desserts and breads (well you know not all, but the one's in the basket's and not commercially packaged). I've had their chicken a long time ago but I don't remember it being bad at all. Because if it was, I'd remember. When I went to the bakery I really wish they had the Mascarpone cake (not the Tiramisu it was a different one) and a tart. Neither of them were in slices, so because of that I decided to get the tiramisu. To be honest, you don't expect a grocery store to make good desserts, don't ask why, you just don't expect it. The tiramisu was good, it was quite delish. It was a bit rich for me, but I don't eat a lot of tiramisu. I can't tell you it's the best and that it's not. I can tell you though, don't shy away from a grocery store bakery. They are actually quite delish and make every them all every morning. Also, if you're craving a dessert in the middle of the night and don't want to go to Denny's, then come to Vons! They have them in a refrigerator. They usually have their fruit tarts, chocolate case, cream puffs, raspberry/strawberry cakes, etc. The employee's are really friendly too, I do rather enjoy coming here at night because no one's really there and it's peaceful. Then I went to Vons on Orange in Redlands to their bakery. After telling the staff what I needed, they came out to look for it also. The young lady went to look for a slice but came out with a sml individual German Chocolate cake and added birthday pick to it. Upon checking out there was Cheryl & Ashley checking items and keeping you in stitches. There energy picked you right up .. the smiles and laughter and for me, positive conversation as they worked.. that day, it didn't get better than the atmosphere in that store and those ladies boosting hat atmosphere. A supervisor should never publicly embarrass their employees. A supervisor named Linn was our cashier and she was yelling at an employee named Jacob for not running fast enough to the front to help bag groceries. He stated he was asked to do another task by another supervisor. She kept yelling at him in front of us making our shopping experience very uncomfortable. He has always kept me in the loop with what's going on and actively communicates with everything.
