After months of "surgery," it was time to send that 2016 Home Depot special to the big laundromat in the sky. Figured everything would be closed by the time I hit Phoenix, so I rolled the dice in Vegas. Fought traffic, made it to the Henderson store around 5:30, missed my aunt (who I recently learned works there) by minutes, but found the exact washer/dryer tower I'd been eyeing--and it was on sale. Score. Mike in the showroom was great--friendly, helpful, easy to work with. Turns out they had exactly one electric unit available at the Craig warehouse. Even better. Paid up, grabbed my free basket, and was told I could pick it up before 7. So I battled rush hour across town... only to arrive at 6:15 and find the place closed at 6, with a freshly taped sign saying so. Not ideal. That said, the warehouse team came through. I walked to another door with humans behind it and explained the situation--that I was just passing through and not coming back anytime soon--and they helped get me loaded up anyway. Got a "for future reference..." (fair enough), but I appreciated them making it happen. Overall: great showroom experience, solid customer service when it counted, and I got a good deal at the perfect time. A hiccup in communication, but a good ending--and a story to go with it.

That all stock the high end and junk. We went to Bob's found a mattress we liked at a decent price along with a marked down adjustable frame. We are looking at a total of $1600. We were all ready when I asked about delivery. Were to told delivery was $99. I inquired about a discount for a $1600 purchase and got a blank stare and a no. I turned around to leave thinking that a commissioned salesperson would stop me and negotiate, nope. Evidently a $1600 sale means nothing. Got home and searched on line again. Thank goodness I did. Found Half Price Mattress! Short hours on Sunday but got there just after a 1:00 opening. Christina was the sole person in the store. I explained what I was looking for and she directed me to a mattress she felt fit the bill. We ( my wife ) tried it and found it to be what we were looking for. The posted price was $1100 but she immediately let us know that it was on sale for $799. I inquired about delivery and got impressed at NO CHARGE and could be delivered now even on Sunday . Delivery is a 3rd party and would be a set up charge if needed. Just pay cash to the delivery person. It's only been 3 days but we are very pleased with our purchase and keeping $$$ in our pockets. The admission was $5 and only accepted cash. However, we were able to find a free admission pass online. Took our little niece to this exhibit, and she enjoyed it. There are a bunch of vendors. It seems like they combined the home decor and crafts together. Vendors are selling customized charcuterie boards, solar panels, patio furniture, secreted candles, air conditioning, anti aging creams, pastries, fudges, artificial turfs and more. Most vendors are attracting patrons not only with their products and services but also with chocolates, chap sticks, candies, and even a leveler from Home Magazine.

I have not ever experienced the showrooms yet. I have been here twice for an expo and a festival. We attended The Oddities and Curiosities Expo in 2024 and most recently we went to the Totally Rad Vintage Fest. Both shows were huge and we found lots of great items at these shows. Lots of vendors selling their products and there is a small food court. There was an admission charge to get in, but parking was covered and free. Location is near downtown and across the street from The Smith Center.
