It is broken down into 3 main areas; the cardio/ weight machine area (cable)/ the more serious strength training area (benches, squat racks, free weights) and the stretch area (equipped with bosu balls, kettle bells and barbells, ab rollers, ropes and medicine balls). However, they do not offer group classes. The locker rooms are clean and there is plenty of space. My favorite part was the blow dryer, curling iron and wand! Perfect for going from the gym to work or to a night out. They also have vending machines with protein shakes, waters, pre workout and snacks. Best part...it is open 24/7. I would not recommend Workout Anytime North Shore based on my experience. When I joined, my membership was $29.99 per month. After the price increase in May, I decided to cancel. From that point forward, the process became a nightmare. I went into the gym multiple times, called multiple times, contacted the billing service, and even reached out to corporate. No one was willing or able to help. Every person I spoke with essentially passed the responsibility to someone else. I was told someone was "in charge," yet they claimed they couldn't do anything. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told the owner doesn't handle billing issues either. It was a constant cycle of "not my job, not my problem." The biggest issue is their so-called 30-day cancellation notice. In my opinion, it's simply a cancellation fee by another name. If you're advertising a month-to-month membership, I should be able to walk in, cancel my membership, and stop being charged. Instead, you're required to continue paying for another month before they'll actually end the membership. That requirement was never clearly explained to me when I signed up. Despite trying to cancel since May, I continued to be charged. I hadn't even used the gym in over 6-8 months, yet the charges kept coming. To make matters worse, I was threatened with being sent to collections if I didn't pay, leaving me no choice but to spend over $100 just to finally end a membership I'd been trying to cancel for months. I've worked in sales and customer service for well over 10 years, and today I'm a manager for a multimillion-dollar construction company. Throughout my career, I've made decisions that cost my company money because it was the right thing to do for the customer--even when the situation wasn't something we were contractually responsible for. That's what good management and good customer service look like: taking ownership, finding solutions, and putting the customer first. Unfortunately, I experienced the exact opposite here. I was banned from this location for no reason what so ever yesterday 4/9/26 ..i haven't been to Northshore in months..but here's the story..I left a review several months ago regarding homeless people hanging out and it smelling of marijuana..makes me nervous going there alone..so I went to East Ridge facility..yesterday I was banned from there AND the Northshore gym..ran by the same people..because they told me I couldn't tan or bring my husband as a guest ..I didn't know since we've been going a year..apparently I had a basic plan..they were rude and told me I'd have to go to Hixson to do that since they aren't really a part of the Home office of with Workout Anytime 24/7 ..I didn't know so we left..then banned! For no reason but for leaving a honest review about a nasty unsafe gym that needs better management! The one in Hixson is the real deal..the better place to workout..don't waste your time or offend these guys or you'll be banned as well. They said it was due to type of membership but I didnt have same issues with Ooltewah facility. Went in person and gave an electronic notice to cancel on May 14, 2024. Today is June 3rd, 2024 and I get a call at 7 am telling me I owe over $100 in late fees and that it will be sent to collections if I don't pay. I moved from Tennessee to Colorado May 14th 2024 and ALL the charges are from APRIL and AFTER. Now they won't answer any of my calls. If the person at the front desk wouldn't have told me May 14,2023 that my member ship is cancelled then it would have been resolved then, I would never have even signed up if I was told about this retarded cancellation policy. Stop harassing me, I don't care if you send it to collections. I'll send a cease-and-desist letter as well as disputing your bullshit charges. I haven't been in state in 4 months and haven't stepped foot into your building in even longer. I owe you NOTHING. The door barely works when I use my membership card. What's the point of being 24/7 when I can't get access. I contacted the number posted and it asked for my zip code to verify and it told me it couldn't verify! Obviously I know I have a membership here or I wouldn't be wasting my time leaving this review. During this unique time of social distancing and self quaranting being advised, it is highly unlikely for a business to argue with a customer over the phone in an attempt to coerce her into coming into a place of business in order to cancel a membership. Well that's what happened with this franchise. After joining last week, I called to cancel my gym membership since I'm not sure why I would pay an annual fee or monthly fee for use of a place which I have no idea of when I can use in the foreseeable future. When I called, an associate directed me to a website that states that all cancellations have to be done by contacting the gym. When I told the associate that, she said that neither she nor her manager were familiar with the site. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said that he's busy lifting and that she wasn't going to bother him since they only get to lift on their lunch breaks. She then said she'd look into it and call me. She then texted me that she couldn't cancel it for me, her manager would call me after his workout, "but I'm not sure he will be of help to you either." Her manager called me back and said that he cancelled my membership but that I'd be charged for my first month - because that's their policy. Poor form all around. read more

In town for the weekend and did walk in $10- definitely not in California anymore (price wise) nicely situated cardio and cable machines in one room , free weights in another rooms there is another extra room with more dumbbells and physio balls, kettlebells etc . This gym, though convenient, is filthy. The equipment is broken down, and nothing has been updated for years. Additionally, avoid personal training here. The trainers lack the professional experience to provide proper training, and if your trainer leaves, no one contacts you, yet they continue to charge you for sessions without any communication. With my temporary move to Chattanooga and other assorted life changes, it seemed time to join a gym once more. So, I found my new athletic home. I had walked by a number of times and had seen the advertised special of $15/month, and on the day I happened to see that it was changed to $0 down and $0 first month, I jumped on it. Nice place, clean, and friendly staff. Perfect if you're in the market for what I need right now- basic, up to date cardio machines (lots of treadmills, my fave), and all of your necessary and desired strength and conditioning machines, free weights and the like. I didn't end up keeping my free personal assessment appointment, so I cannot speak to that, but I know what I am doing in the gym at brass tacks so it's all good. If you want to have an easy, efficient, meet-your-needs place at a fantastic price, and you're in the North Shore area for work and/or home (or just like the idea of being able to work out, literally, at any time day or night) this is a good pick. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. We cancelled 2 years ago and they all of a sudden started charging us out of the blue. Called to get the to cancel and reimburse and they wouldn't do it. I was referred to this gym. I haven't started working out at the gym but from the tour I received today, I will say I like it so far. One of the reasons I am signing up to this gym is because it opens 24/7. With my crazy work schedules, I can go anytime. Also, I like the hydro massage they have. It will come in handy. It sucks that I have to drive a distance to get to the gym but at this point, I don't mind. Plus, my work is closer to the gym. The customer service was excellent! The gym itself is clean & organized. I like that I get to try it for 14 days before making a month to month commitment with the gym. The prices options are very reasonable as well. read more

I've tried to cancel my membership here several times. The phone operator gave me a website that didn't work. I called back, she cl it is impossible to cancel a membership. I asked to speak to a manager and she accidentally hung up on me. Twice. Called again and the phone operator was now "like a manager". I tried to cancel in person. The manager claimed that the website doesn't work because I must be using internet explorer. I haven't used IE in ten years or more--nobody does. Really just horrible experience. I have tried several times to cancel my membership. Their billing is contracted out to ABC Financial. They can take your money, but they cannot cancel a membership. Advised me to cancel the local gym. Local gym on Frazier Ave. in Chattanooga sent me to a website with a code that didn't work. Said I had to cancel on a website. They denied having any records of my previous phone calls to local staff to cancel the membership. They advised that I must gone into the gym in person and pay over $100.00 to cancel. This is unacceptable when COVID-19 rates are soaring and I do not want to come in person or pay $100.00 because their incompetent staff cannot cancel memberships. Now I have threatening letters from their billing company. Buyer beware. Get ready for annual fees, higher than advertised monthly fees, and a contract they can't cancel. Truly unbelievable. This would have been a 4 star review before I started personal training sessions at this gym. I don't care that they don't have a pool or athletic facilities, because I'm more interested in keeping it affordable. Even at a very reasonable $15 a month, Workout Anytime is more expensive than my last gym (though you won't find a better deal around here) and they have far fewer machines. So that's the not-so-great part of the deal. At first, my favorite thing about this place is the theater room, with five cardio machines, a flatscreen TV, DVD player and zero social interaction with your peers - a primo facility for antisocial gym-goers like me. Fortunately, I also took advantage of the free personal training session that you get when you open a membership (no contract, by the way). I never intended to work with a trainer on a regular basis, but one session with Chelsea convinced me otherwise. Both she and my trainer Todd are extremely knowledgeable, articulate, encouraging yet tough teachers - you'll know it by how sore you are after each session! I appreciate how Todd does a great job explaining new exercises and how these affect my body. I'm now so aware of muscles I didn't even know were there! The staff at Workout Anytime have helped me transform from an antisocial gym-goer to a regular gym rat. This is definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. read more

This gym is in the heart of Chattanooga down town. The facility is nice and clean and has everything you would need for your fitness goals i.e. Squat rack, deadlift area, and free weights or cardio and strength machines. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We are currently evacuated from hurricane Michael and they gave us a good two for one deal on a one week membership. I decided to take advantage of the one day free trial offered by this gym, and I'm glad I did because this is NOT the kind of gym I would get a membership to. The employees at the front desk were rude not only to me but to the other person who came in after me. They gave me a quick tour, but didn't really answer my questions about the machines. Apparently your personal trainer will explain all of that. The machines are so close to each other that it feels like you're rubbing elbows (literally) with the other gym goers. I couldn't help but feel self concious as the elliptical is directly in front of the treadmills, so it felt like my ass was in someone's face the whole time I did my cardio. I retreated to the movie room where I was happy to have my back to the wall while I watched a movie and finished my workout until it was interrupted by an argument between two employees who felt it necessary to drop F-bombs at each other and complain about customers. Really? C'mon. I was almost enjoying myself! The music that was playing throughout the gym was terrible. Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Mudvayne. Obviously you can't please everyone, and it's not that big of a deal, but it added to the angry, intimidating, pent-up aggression vibe of this place. Thank god I brought my earbuds. I would say that unless you're pumping iron, avoid this place and go for a run or bike ride for free in Renaissance Park across the street. read more

My wife and I have been members of Workout Anytime for the past 2.5 years and I can honestly say its always gotten better. Over the years I've seen management continually reinvest in the gym. They added several high-tech treadmills, a StairMaster and new free weight benches while continually replacing pads before they wear out. They even replaced the flooring to keep the place looking new. Management understands what people want in a gym - and they spend the money to give it to you. As for the staff, I honestly don't know how they always find such great people. Everyone (literally) is cheerful, conversational and always ready to help you out. The gym (and locker room!) is very clean - and consistently stays that way. And, pricing is very fair. After 2.5 years I can honestly say Workout Anytime is one of the best gyms we've ever been to and if I could give them six stars, I would. read more

WATCH OUT FOLKS - Before I moved, I went in person to cancel membership. Unfortunately the manager said "our systems are down" and they could not fill out the cancellation papers. Instead he took the membership card, wrote my name and details down and said "all will be taken care of" I was 7 months pregnant and moved cross-country - so my mind was on other things and didn't check the credit card transactions for THIS specific charge and noticed 10 months later they were STILL CHARGING!!! I contacted them and they fobbed me off. I kept escalating and calling and emailing - and every message was "we'll take care of it" or "manager just left the building today" and was left in limbo with NO ANSWER. I filled out their cancellation form AGAIN to ensure I did everything I possibly could to make sure I could get these payments stopped and my $500 back. Then today I check again 4 months later - and they ARE STILL CHARGING ME!!! I called and guess what they said "Manager just left the building for the day" DEJA VUS. So I've filed an official BBB complaint, contacting credit card to remove this on my side, and posting reviews everywhere so you ALL KNOW TO STAY AWAY from this. A shame as in principle a good service for the gym - but the service to STOP paying and correct issues is IMPOSSIBLE!!!! read more

Being the only location I have attended I'm not sure if it's the business or the location, but I was not impressed. I joined solely for the purpose of having guest benefits, as it was the most cost effective for myself and my partner. We went in for a workout together and we were informed "this location no longer has guest privileges as of 3 months ago." Firstly my issue is that there was no email notification sent with this change and secondly it was not posted or made known. So I canceled my membership on the spot, to which I received an attitude from the attending manager. The space itself is small and cramped. What equipment they did have was placed close together and it is hard to maneuver through the the gym especially when busy. Some of the machines were stiff and gritty and in need of a lubricant or service. Secondly, the gym alway has the weirdest smell that reminded me of a cat litter box. Do not recommend. Their contracts are not cancel at any time, you have to pay an extra month when you cancel. My 18 yo son tried to cancel and they put a freeze on it instead and 7 months later are coming after him for $150 when he used the gym for 1 month. Expensive lesson for my son trying to put himself through college to have to learn on a 3 day a week Taco Bell salary. No compassion... guess covid hit them hard so they are hurting for every dollar. This is not your place if you're looking for tons of classes, like yoga or spinning. Nor is it your place if you're looking for a sauna, towels or chichi body products in the locker room. Also, don't expect a ton of staff and/or trainers... You won't find them here. Though all these things are nice, they cost $$$ and honestly, I just don't need the extras. To be honest I was very skeptical about joining any kind of gym, but decided to check into it since I was not living in an apartment complex with free gym access. I shopped around and this gym was within my budget. I really liked that there was no contract to sign so decided to check it out one night. The staff member that was there was very friendly and not at all pushy. He just simply informed me of the price and gave me a tour of the facility. I decided to sign up that night and later on, if I didn't like it, I could drop the gym. I love this gym though and it's so affordable. When you sign up they offer a free personal training session and talk about your weight/fitness goals. The staff is very informative and very helpful. I love the cardio room where you can watch DVD's while on the elliptical, stationary bike, or stair machine. There are plenty of weight machines and an additional weight room. The locker room is well kept and the facilities are clean and not nasty. They provide lockers for you as long as you provide the lock. Every size and shape person attends this gym, so no reason to be intimidated by anyone there. Overall this is a great gym. If you're looking for a gym complete with a pool, climbing wall, sauna, and the typical extras, then this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a basic gym where you can workout and get in shape for a low price, then this would be perfect for you. read more

The facility is fine, hours are great, price is fantastic but apparently it is OK for the staff to use his master key to empty the trash while someone is using the tanning bed in a locked room. I was very excited to join a gym half a miles from my house, and I even signed up for a trainer and that is when things went south. My first time using the gym when it wasn't staffed, the door scanner didn't work, and they just said oh that's been happening, no apology or anything. Signed up for a trainer, the 1st session, the lady didn't know she was my trainer and tried to sell me a training package again. The next session she didn't show up. Both the guy that sold me the package and trainer no longer work there. When I called about a trainer not showing up, it took them 2 weeks to give me an answer and being told to speak to 4 different people. It has been a month now and I am still waiting on my refund, and they charged my card again for a training session that I canceled because of there lack of organization. The gym itself has a lot of equipment, which is nice, but the restrooms are always a mess when I go in. I just would not ever recommend this gym to anyone. read more

I heard the horror stories of Workout anytime screwing people over, but I didn't listen. My card (which had plenty of money on it) didn't go through because gift cards can't be used for regular monthly charges. I didn't realize that but would have made it right. They were supposed to charge $16. They ran it twice and came up with me owing $80 something dollars. The only reason I used the gift card is because I read so many reviews on the internet about the gym screwing so many people by charging in the hundreds of dollars on their credit card. You also have to pay twice as much because you have to pay for parking. read more

i would suggest that no one sign up with workout anytime. they are dishonest and pressure you to sign up with a trainer. and after i mailed a certified letter to cancel my month to month membership they continued to charge my account and credit card. they have no right to keep charging when i am no longer a member and can not scan in to use their facilies. and to top it all off workout anytime is threating me because i have disputed the charges with my credit card company!!!! read more
