I been in this store twice and will not return after yesterdays repeat of the non existent customer service I received. I went in to try on a pair of traditional fit Carhartt jeans, as I've always worn Wranglers so wanted to try before I buy. Walked in was not greeted by anyone. I went over to the Carhartt pants area where a clerk had a ladder up and was stocking pants right where I was looking for the correct style. He never once acknowledged I was there or needed help even when he was no further than 2-3 feet away from me and not on the ladder. I searched through out their entire Carhartt products and couldn't find any traditional fit jeans. So I left, the cashier, the clerk, NO ONE in that store gave me the time of day or tried to help. I had the same experience last year when I went in to buy a pair of jeans for my wife. But figured after a year the staff surely would have changed their poor customer relations outlook. But no more! The store is closer than the Coddingtown store, but I don't care and will NEVER try to do business with that store again. At least greet someone when they come into your business and TRY to ACT like your interested in selling them something. They are in there for a reason, take it upon yourself as an employee to find out what their needs are......... GIVE A DAMN, it's your job! read more

Always let me down. I spend at least $500 a year on boots along not including work wear. Never seem to have a full selection of whatever I need mix and match sizes so I end up having to settle for something I really don't want or need. Customer service is mediocre and no one seems interested in helping out I always have to ask. I've never done anything like this before but this experience has warranted me creating a Yelp account. I will be making a note to Yelp that they should have negative stars available. My husband has spent a lot of money at Work World for his work boots and clothing over the years. We are not in the habit of returning items. In the past we returned a pair of work boots because the sole was falling apart after a short amount of time. That's it. In that case, the gentleman that helped us was kind and professional. I doubt we even had the receipt. A couple of months ago my husband purchased 3 pairs of work pants and a belt. He purchased the wrong size (he should have tried them on) pants and the belt buckle was broken. We live 2 hours away from the nearest Work World so I offered to exchange the items for him. I returned to the store with the intent of exchanging all the items for the correct size and replacing the broken belt. I had the receipt. The extremely rude cashier refused to exchange the pants that my husband removed the tags off of. I checked their website and it did not say anything in their return policy about having to have the tags on returned or exchanged items. I pointed out that I had the receipt and she said it did not matter. I said, "okay then let me have a refund on the items that still had the tags on them". After 10 minutes of fussing around with her system she asked me for the card we used to make the original purchase. I did not bring that card because it is the card my husband uses and he therefore had it with him. My original intent was on exchanging not returning so it did not occur to me to bring the card. My fault, of course. I was already a bit mad about her rudeness and her refusal to let me exchange the pants for the right size (never mind about the broken belt). Why didn't she ask me for the card before spending 10 minutes trying to figure out her machine? I explained that I was trying to do a nice thing for my husband, I drove 2 hours and I had a receipt. She told me I should shop somewhere else. I wrote a letter to their corporate office and never heard back. Clearly they don't need our business or anyone else's for that matter noting how low their reviews are. The internet should thank you for your attitude because you are giving them all of the sales that could have been yours. read more

We've always had such nice, friendly people help as we couldn't believe we were in the same store. Came in last Saturday to return a $14 item and the hoops we had to jump through to retrieve our cash back was jaw dropping. Too bad. We won't be back. read more

Had 4 broken zippers on 4 different jackets in about 3 years. Asked for 2 refunds and got 1. I was then accused on returning items all the time. That was my last trip to work world good ridons. Rude staff, not helpful and they could care less if the zippers break. Sales staff look amd act like deer in headlights. Work world you fail. read more

Wanted a work coat for years just never got one. Drive by work world every day and finally stopped in. Found a great deal on hooded Carhardt heavy duty jacket in a color I liked. 50% off for whatever reason in XXL. Cashier was surprised by the discount too so I figure I got a good deal. This place has horrible customer service no wonder it's always empty! It doesn't deserve any stars! I asked an older lady working there for assistance with a shoe and she seemed very bothered that I was interrupting her. I got the shoe from her and then requested a different size and a different female employee assisted me. She also seemed bothered by the fact that she had to help me. I let both of those incidents go and continued to shop, as I was shopping the older lady decided to yell across the store if there was anything she could help me find because they were now closed! I said well I was going to look at the jackets and she gave me a look like I was crazy. I told both of the rude female employees (mind you the older one was the manager) that they had horrible customer service and that by no means would I ever be purchasing from them again. I am beyond belief on how these people are able to obtain customer service jobs if they are far from doing just that. Just returned from Work World on Santa Rosa Ave. I could not be happier with the selection, organization, and customer service. We went there looking for work boots for my 18 y/o son, who was spending his own hard earned money. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews here, so we went with an open mind. I asked the employee who helped us some questions that he could have been slightly more knowledgeable about regarding the boots, but his coworker, stepped in and had any missing answers. They were friendly, but not awkward, and let my son wear the boots of his choice around the store while we did more shopping, which was cool considering they were $160.00 Carolinas, and there could be some shady characters that may take advantage of such trust. My son loved this store, in fact he said that this IS his new favorite store, and also bought a safety vest, since he works on a hwy crew, and the ones provided at work are not nearly as nice as this one. We. WILL be returning here very soon, as the selection is extremely desirable. I do wish there were a few more women's choices, but none the less, I've got my eye on that sweet Carhart vest, which fit me like it was made for me, and is calling me back to get it! read more

Went here once for some work pants and even though they didn't have the size and style I needed, there was a young man who was very helpful. I believe his name was Miguel. He pointed me to the right direction and offered another local business that could possibly assist me with what I was looking for. Overall, a great experience. read more

I went here to pick up some work clothes since there are hardly any other places around here, and man they had exactly the stuff I needed. They had a great selection of very durable work pants and the lady working there was very kind and helped me find some nice polo shirts as well. The other employee there was also very helpful when I decided to exchange an item for one in another color, and was very understanding and worked quick. I will be returning to buy some more pants and likely some other supplies within the next few days. read more

When I asked where the rain gear is located I got a head nod towards the general direction. And as far a rain gear selection there is very little. read more
