Terrible customer service, I went to Fred Myers for my fishing license. I won't be back to this place.

I went to buy a gun sling. price marked was $17.99 and they charged me $24.99. I noticed it before left the store and brought it to their attention. their response was that was the new price and they hadn't restickered their old products. they refused to honor their price tag and I told them that was very poor customer service. their response was that I could return it and go elsewhere. really!!! don't trust their stickered prices. Been coming here for a long time, spent thousands of dollars here but the customer service experience has been awful the past few visits. Bought a pair of sights they said they could put on and kept telling me to come back the next day, after two weeks of this I ordered an entire new slide and returned the others. Today I went in after a misunderstanding, I bought suppressor/optic sights and had them put on my backup slide, this was a couple months ago and an issue seeing I don't have an optic. I came in with my receipt hoping for a return willing to do an exchange but they told me there was nothing they could do. Return policy says no firearms or ammunition. I had just returned the other sights in January. Definitely won't be shopping here anymore everything's overpriced anyway. Zero customer service just like everywhere else these days. read more

I just tried to return a pair of New Balance shoes that I had bought the previous Sunday. I found that the right shoe rubbed a spot on my foot after I wore them to work. They refused the return because they couldn't find something wrong and claimed I had worn them outside. I only wore them from my house to my car! Totally ridiculous policy and apparently I've wasted about 60.00 on an unwearable pair of shoes. Their only solution is comeback next week and talk to a different person! read more

The team at Work-Sports & Outdoors was really helpful when it came to buying fire boots for my season. This was also the only store in the area that carried Whites, Hathorns, Georgia, and Danner boots. Their senior boot/shoe specialist, Debbie, did a great job of talking me through her considerations as to fit and long-term comfort of the boots in question. I felt very confident in the pair that I selected, and they've worked out great so far. Debbie also found me a relevant coupon and helped connect me with the right pair of Superfeet insoles for my boots. I know Yelp shows the business as a $$$ option - but the truth is it's all closer to $$. Even before their sales... There's a wide mix of basic and higher-end brands that will really work for anyone's budget. Service is also top-notch. Friendly and courteous and insanely helpful staff that will drop everything to help you find the right product, no matter how many other tasks they are trying to balance at the same time. This shop is definitely worth your time and money, and as an added bonus: it's a locally-owned and operated option not some big conglomerate. Why not go there? read more

Excellent service and selection of Carhardt clothing. All sizes and colors of the shirts, long and short sleeve. And massive pants selection. You almost feel guilty messing up their display picking through for the exact size and color you want. read more

Small town sporting goods store with great camping, clothing, and shooting sports departments. I shop here at least 10 times a year. Everyone who works there is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Never a hassle on returns or exchanges. They donate often to local community fundraisers. Classy people, I highly recommend. read more

I was just there getting our Christmas tree permit and had some time to kill and thought I'd shop locally and support the little guy. Well all was good until I went to check out. At checkout I asked the cashier is she could price match a Omni tech thermal shell to another one they had on the rack. (They were in the same package and the large/med size was $5 cheaper than the Small) I needed the small, kind of ironic because the small uses less fabric. Well the cashier was kind enough to search down the owner and the owner came to discuss the incorrect price. I said I would purchase it if she would make them the same price. Her response was " That's not going to happen." after refusing to even consider that the package was mismarked she proceeded to look up why the small was more money. After 10 min she returned and said the manufacture price was different and she was unwilling to drop the price to be the same as the cost of this years model (if they had the small in this years packaging I would have just picked that one). Her attitude through this entire episode was rude and bitchy. I can't believe that an owner of a retail store would not have the common sense or knowledge that they can go to the manufacture and get them to give a $5 credit to make a sale happen. I know how much I could have purchased one from amazon or a larger retailer. It would have saved me $45 because I was going to purchase 3 of them. I even had other items I was going to buy but the owner is clueless and has a crappy attitude. Truly disappointed. So I went down the street to the ENUMCLAW SKI & MOUNTAIN SPORTS shop. They HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUE with the pricing but Nathan made them all $45 and even gave me a 10% discount for purchasing 3 of them and for the inconvenience from this store. Great job to Nathan @ ENUMCLAW SKI & MOUNTAIN SPORTS shop for making my day and reaffirming that not every small town business/business owner is a out of touch wanker. read more

First I go in to buy .22 ammunition. No big deal right? its .22 ammo! i walk out with 4 boxes of ammo and a smile on my face. I get to the range and find out the kid behind the counter gave me the sub sonic ammo instead of the regular ammo and it doesn't fire through my gun. So I take the other 3 unopened sealed clear plastic boxes (that have been in my possession for less than 20 hours) back. Their mistake cost me almost 40 bucks. But since it's federal law they can't take ammo back (how convenient)....and the "manager" who had to be all of about 18....tells me that I need to do research before i go and purchase ammo. I will never do business here again (have spent a lot of money here in the past). So much for customer service....lets insult our customers after we make a mistake that takes money out of their pocket and puts it into ours. Great business plan guys (sarcasm)! read more

Popped in on the way to Mt Rainier, since it was pouring outside. After I made way through the tent sale goods outside, I walked inside to a visual feast of work, sports, outdoor & more! The prices were equal to or better than many places I've been. A selection of products in some categories that I haven't seen as good at even larger big box stores. Customer service was fabulous and no matter who I spoke with, they were a pleasure to work with. Certainly deserving of my patronage, even being an hour away. read more
