Great hospitality! After dinner, we got a tour of the Inn and heard some great ghost stories too!

This place was beautifully filled with great antiques. We had a prime rib buffet that was wonderful and a great price. We enjoyed the best piece of homemade cheesecake ever over listening to the owner, Jim's, ghost stories of the inn. Make this a stop on your trip!

This is a suite that we were moved to in the middle of our weeklong stay. The first room was incredibly dirty and falling apart.

Good food. Not the fastest place so try and go when not that crowded. Friendly service. Old style construction.

Clean and reasonably priced room. Carpet was stained and should be replaced. Jim and clerk were very helpful.

As I searched through possibilities, the first-floor suite at The Phoenix Inn caught my eye and made my decision very easy. This Inn provides everything you need, but there are no frills - the decor and accommodations are pleasant and clean. The beds are very comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, and the wi-fi worked great. There were power strips throughout the room, so we could plug in and recharge our devices. Vicki made the beds and changed the towels daily. There are daily newspapers in the common room and there is always fresh coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available. The guest fridge in the Inn's kitchen is great for chilling the goodies you get at Ommegang Brewery or the local wineries. The food is excellent. Each morning Vicki provides a buffet featuring fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, cereal, freshly-baked goodies from the Inn's kitchen, and a hot dish. The stand-outs during our visit were the Blueberry French Toast and the Raspberry-Cream Cheese Coffeecake. Vicki was amenable to special requests and was happy whip up a few scrambled eggs for my diabetic husband and she made sure to have the appropriate foods for two pregnant vegan women who were guests during our time there. The Inn is within 10-15 minutes of most of Cooperstown's attractions, but located away from it all. We had no trouble sleeping. I'd return to The Phoenix Inn.

Very conveniently located. Breakfast every morning helped cut down expenses for at least one meal a day for our family. The kids loved the waffle bar, and my middle guy became quite the barista this trip. He loved running down and making my coffee every day! During our week stay they also made popcorn one of the days, shared pizza and had snacks available for us because I was a member. My kids enjoyed the pool and small arcade. They also had a small laundry room which was so helpful. Staff were so kind and accommodating. We loved our stay and cannot wait to visit again someday!

The staff is nice, the location is pretty accessible (it's just down the road from the Walmart), and it's pretty easy to get on to 88. One time I was here, I swear the heat was turned off in the lobby. It felt like it was literally 12 degrees. Not sure what happened that day. Anyway, they have breakfast service which is always really well maintained. The prices can really fluctuate depending on whether or not the Cooperstown Hall of Fame games are going on or if it's Parents' Week for the SUNY colleges. The spikes happen all the time; it's kind of crazy. Other than that, it's a solid hotel. Very consistent experience.

When we checked in, we were greeted warmly. I really appreciated help with my bag up the somewhat steep & narrow stairs. (No elevator - so keep that in mind if you come to stay.) Bed was firm, bathrooms were spotless, extra pillows in the closet are sealed in plastic, bedding all super fresh. Phone chargers next to the bed & sofa(bed) & solid wifi made this quaint & cozy room connected. Full length mirror, hair dryer & an iron & ironing board were much appreciated. Our 2nd floor room was very quiet & the blackout drapes on all windows plus the split ac & heat controls made everything adjustable for a perfectly cavelike environment. Hello solid night's sleep! A small fridge in the room had little Coffeemate creamers for the in-room coffee maker, but there is always a coffee & tea station downstairs too. The town is literally across the street! The Baseball Hall of Fame & the Farmers Museum are both a block & a half away, and in between are several spirits shops, baseball stores, restaurants and a bakery. Breakfast is 8am-9:30am & it is a nice offering: Oatmeal packets, cold cereals & milk Sausage & pepper frittata - custardy! Corn muffins (a must try!) Yogurts Fruit salad Heidelberg wheat, raisin & sunflower seed bread slices (& toaster) Coffee & tea station Orange, ruby grapefruit & cranberry juices Jams, butter, & condiments If you're coming to town & prefer a close stay to the sights here, & a smaller inn experience, this is the place to be! We came here on a Wednesday evening at 6pm and there were fewer than 10 people seated (not including a half a dozen or so at the bar). We had two young kids with us so we ordered quickly in hopes we could get the kids settled, fed and back in the car before they started acting like kids. We ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids, wings and French onion soup for ourselves followed by a cheesesteak and a cheeseburger. We did not see a single piece of food until 7pm. Literally - one hour from when we ordered until even the kids food showed up. We asked the waitress to check on everything about 45 minutes into the evening and could hear the chef say, "you tell them it'll be out when it's ready". Two stars rather than one because when the food did finally show up it was mostly good. The wings were great, the cheesesteak was great - the burger was tragic, borderline inedible. It tasted like it had been grilled directly on charcoal that was doused in lighter fluid. I'd have sent it back if I wasn't 100% sure we'd end up waiting another hour for a replacement. I'm fairly certain this place won't care about this review - but I hope if you're reading this you'll be dissuaded from wasting your time, money and energy and look to any of a number of other amazing restaurants in the area that serve great food and provide amazing service.

Due to the unreliability of a "corporate" company charging excessively high prices for a motel room in the middle of absolutely nowhere where there's absolutely nothing to do for entertainment, shower was not in proper working order, your "continental" breakfast choice severely limited, front desk girl hanging up on me because she didn't want to work past her allotted time, one would think they, corporate, would not only take their job responsibilities seriously but would actually do their job and in a timely manner. I live on a very tight strict budget wherein I get paid once a month. This money is detrimental for me to survive. Being that 3 weeks have passed payroll has to have been written and given so why couldn't a meager check be written and mailed? If this is how a corporate company operates they obviously do not take their job seriously enough to put a customer first then this corporation deserves to be known for their irresponsibility and I have absolutely no problem exposing them. BBB has been notified and my experience noted.
