The quality ,varity of wool and warm welcoming hospitality I received when shopping at wool town provided me the ability to check off every item on my woolers quest. I'll say it again ! WOW I now reference the owner as WOW ( witch of wool ) when entering a magical feeling overcomes you like when you were a kid waking up on Christmas morning or feeling like a kid in a candy store. I had a lovely time popping in here twice while my family was on vacation in Sunriver. The name of this LYS is very appropriate, because their store is full of wooly goodness! Not a lot of the trendy superwash/indie dyed/speckled yarns, but lots of gorgeous wooly yarn, some local, some not, in beautiful colors throughout the store. Friendly, engaged staff that are helpful but not pushy. I got a gorgeous red/brown DK yarn that's going to make a beautiful cabled sweater, and my mom picked up a sweaters worth of lovely blue sport yarn. Very reasonable prices. The other LYS in town has a lot more of the trendy yarn, but this place is solid and has its own look and feel that I totally loved. Check them out!:) read more

What a beautiful store! Walking into this room so full of color and creativity was the best medicine for a cold gray day and my Covid fatigue. The staff wore masks and yet you could somehow tell they were greeting with a smile. I am returning to knitting after over 50 years away. Katie, the owner of Wool Town, has been super welcoming and helpful in getting me reacquainted with knitting. Her shop is filled with loads of lovely yarns that make my heart sing. Katie has been great at showing me projects and materials appropriate to my skill level. I recently took a beginner's knitting class from Katie at Wool Town and had a great time. By the end of class, everyone seemed confident in their knitting skill and ready to continue our project until next class when we complete our project. I am looking forward to more visits to Wool Town. They also have products for felting, macrame, weaving, and crocheting. So many creative possibilities in such a small space! read more
