Two of the same trees were replaced in my sister's small court yard. They never looked healthy, but Woody's said they were fine. The anchoring pole that held one tree fell over. They refused to come back and put it in the ground without an exorbitant charge. You call them ad nauseam without a reply. They over charge for work not done, done poorly, and they don't keep their word. My sister is elderly, but she used them before her stroke. I asked them to call me and don't speak to her. Sarah asked if I could text pics of the trees and provide my address so she could forward it to the cost estimator that afternoon. I texted everything as soon as we got off the phone. I texted the next day to see if they had an estimate and heard nothing back. I called a couple of days after that and left a message asking them to please let me know if they are able to do the job. No one ever bothered to respond at all. You shouldn't leave people hanging. It's not only rude, it's poor customer service. Watch for the deceptive wording when you are given a quote from this company (Woody's Tree Service). I was told $1600 - $1800 for EVERYTHING regarding my palm tree removal, and I thought I'd be dealing with professionals. While I had asked for a little bit of dirt to be left for the flowerbed, they didn't take ANY of the ground up shavings away. I was NEVER told that the palm tree shaving debris would not be taken away. We called the company to see why the workers had left without taking the rest away and to understand the miscommunication but Raul was rude and not interested in any compromise (he said now they wouldn't come back for the debris unless we paid hundreds more). I also found out that their company recycling doesn't even take dirt, so they NEVER had any intention of holding up their end of the bargain/quote. Not only did I end up paying the full $1800, which was supposed to include everything, but I then had to hire someone else to remove all the debris! If I had known they weren't going to take the stump debris away, I would have hired someone else. Who leaves all the shavings from a palm tree removal behind for a 70 year old man to pick up? The workers were great, but Raul is not to be trusted. He said other customers have misunderstood him so maybe he should "work harder on his writing it all out so the customer is not blind- sided" - if that's the case, I know I'm not the only one this deceptive behavior has happened to. I carefully researched and scouted the area for companies to trim and shape 14 cypress trees, 2 olive trees and 2 pepper trees followed by many consults with different contractors but decided Woody Tree Services would be the one. So, over a week ago, we had set up the appointment for Monday, 4/25/22. The crew arrived on time, were extremely professional and left our back and front yards clean of all debris from the trimmings. Wow!! So I contacted Woody's tree service through Yelp. Sarah got back to me quickly and was super nice! A little while later, Raul stopped by to give us a quote. I appreciated the fact that they came to actually look at the trees to give an accurate quote as opposed to just asking for pictures. They came the very next day to take care of our two pine trees. They were on time, quick and did a super job! Cleaned up the area, you wouldn't even know they were there minus the trees. I highly recommend Raul and his team! We are very happy! Oh and they have great communication as well! They have a system that messages you when they are en route to your house so you know when to expect them. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. They collected the 300$, admitted too much was cut from the tree but said there was nothing they can do but cut more off to make it look relatively normal. Sarah called a week later, left a message, to schedule for them to come out. I called back leaving a message, since it was after hours asking for a time that I can be home, since I did not trust them when I was not home, for obvious reasons. I never heard back. I wrote the first review, Sarah incorrectly stated she called three times and now I have not heard anything since I reviewed them at one star. Fantastic service and a price that was a cut above the rest (see what I did there? Eh? Ehhhh? Laugh damn it!) Seriously though, they did a great job and their price was half what the competitors quoted. It was an absolute unit of a pine tree that had grown to be unstable and long past it's prime. They got all 100+ft of the tree taken down and the stump totally ground down. Four guys arrived on time to do the work. They brought a machine with them to chop up and take away everything they cut. One of the guys was the supervisor who made sure they did everything I wanted. They were very professional in their work and made sure that the high branches they cut did not harm any of my bushes on the ground when the branches fell. They were very conscientious and used a blower and a rake to make sure they picked up everything, even the little twigs, that had fallen to the ground. I had this company remove a big-ash (ha!) tree from my backyard last year. Forgot to leave a review... First, the price was really fair - I think around $400 if I remember correctly. It was better than the other bids I got. Second, the work was done fast and tidy. They cleaned up every twig and scrap. I asked them if the would leave me some of the larger trunk pieces for firewood and he even cut them into smaller sections to dry out. Woody's tree service just finished trimming my Mesquite trees. From the minute I called them and spoke to Sarah everything went very smoothly. Raul came out to give me an estimate first. Once I approved the estimate, we scheduled the tree trimming for this morning. The three guys were super nice. I was really worried about having the trees trimmed too much and they patiently showed me the issues with each tree and why they needed to cut more than I had thought initially. The trees look really good even though I am a bit sad not to have a lot more shade. I am new to Vegas and really didn't know a lot about Mesquites. First time we have ever used Woody's Tree Service. My husband contacted the owner - Raul - who visited our home two weeks ago, discussed the tree and palm trimming job, and gave us a very fair price. The two man crew did an excellent job of trimming the four trees (maintaining good shape and interior openness for wind flow) and the one canary palm. The clean up not only included raking and blowing but also chipping everything. I'd also like to highlight that the trimming crew (Joel and Andrew) did such a good job and paid so much attention to our trees that they actually discovered a humming bird nest - including mom and an egg - toward the end of one branch. When the job was completed they made sure the nest and occupants were untouched and intact! We will certainly contact Woody's Tree Service the next time we need them! read more
