This place has been given me nightmares. They forwarded an amount I owe "apparently" of $528. Without even giving me a proof from Dominion Energy that this was a charge, they went ahead and forward it to collections. Mind you, I HAVE NEVER MISSED ANY PAYMENT. Sofiya was helpful don't get me wrong, but I don't know what happened between the lines of me sending an email directly to address this and did not receive a response after. Now I am gonna hire a lawyer because this company ruined my credit score. I do not recommend this place. As someone that is serving in military, I move around and finding out that I have to deal with this issue coast far away, it's VERY depressing and stressful. read more

I've been living here for 6 months now. And I'm satisfied with everything about the complex. I appreciate the management staff for being informative of all property events from scheduled maintenance to front office celebrations. The management staff address my concerns within 2 business days and the maintenance workers, Rigoberto and Benjamin, always shows up the same day when I have a minor issue like a broken toilet and they fix them the same day. The issue never occurs again. I like how the property is always clean, safe, and family friendly. I only have great things to say! read more

It's been a week since I've moved in. Safiya has truly been amazing throughout this entire process. She has really been helpful and attentive. Renting is competitive but she was able to get a unit that fits my needs. She was very patient, professional and each time I stopped by with a question she was happy to help. No red flags. It's pretty peaceful here and I also do appreciate the fact maintenance introduced himself to me as we were moving in and assured us his dependability. read more

Wife and I are a mil family that moved from California. We applied and got approved for a unit before arriving here and being able to tour. To start, office staff were unprofessional as hell. We get there to tour and the lady puts us in the game room to "wait" and ends up having a personal conversation with a friend who was in the lobby, sitting on the desk chatting it up, for 20 minutes, in front of us. Eventually we got up and decided to walk-out, then all then all of a sudden she had time. She takes us to a unit that wasn't even like ours, opens the door, and said nothing. Didn't come forward with any info about the place unless asked, very stand off-ish. Also, the property was a hot ass mess. The parking was terrible, it was dirty, and there were dead roaches in the unit we looked at. This place was in complete shambles. The photos were nicer than the property itself. We rescinded our application and let them keep the deposit to move in elsewhere that was cheaper, cleaner, and had better amenities, and didn't charge 60$ monthly for parking per vehicle. read more

I just moved into Woodside Apartments this week. Safiya has been incredibly helpful throughout the process of signing the lease and moving in. Safiya is an effective, efficient communicator and the process was seamless beginning to end. The apartment itself is beautiful, clean, and up to my standards. I am excited to live here! read more

This is the absolute worst apartment I have ever been in. I wish I could give 0 stars. I'm just going to make a list of the reasons why: 1.) There are bugs, everywhere! My boyfriend and I have to vacuum everyday to clean them up. Yuck. 2.) The washer left stains on both my clothes and my boyfriends clothes. I literally have no idea how. 3.) The bathroom shower wall is peeling off 4.) The water pressure is non existent 5.) Outdated kitchen cabinets and appliances 6.) The front desk staff is literally horrible. They tried to tell my boyfriend he owed them for a bill he already paid. My boyfriend showed the lady his balance was $0 and she just said "Oh". 7.) They will tow you even if you live there, if you have guests then tell them to park across the street at food Lion This is the worst apartment complex - do not live here! There are so many nicer places for a better price. read more

Safiya was very helpful in showing us the apartment and everything inside the community. She is nice and and thoughtful!

Moved in 6/5/2024, I had a great experience with Safiya. She made sure all my paperwork was done and had my keys ready on move-in day. Safiya does her work with a smile and made the stressful move enjoyable. read more

WHAM, BAM, ITS A GRAND SLAM!! Woodside once again knocks it out of the park. Choosing woodside apartments to be our home was easily the best decision we made last year. This place really feels like a community, people are friendly, and idk it just feels like we belong. I can clean my car whenever I want at the car vacuum/wash station, lounge at the pool, workout in the gym, get groceries across the street etc. They even host fun things like wine and cheese night or buy everyone breakfast in the mornings, routinely. Overall its just got a nice neighborhood feel and it's safe. I know I sound like an ad at this point, but they just haven't let us down yet, and it's such a stark difference from our experiences at other places. Like for example, our balcony sliding door broke recently and they came to fix it 20 minutes after the request was made. Like what? They have maintenance staff on site and they don't play around. It's the real deal out here so if you're looking for a place to live I highly recommend to stop looking now. You're home. read more

I had a great experience with Mrs. Eskedar! Great customer service. The staff is very attentive. They really care about their tenants. They have events for their tenants, and their pool is wonderful! read more

Great community- safe and quiet. Close to 95 and the VRE commuter lot! Safia is one of the people at the leasing office- she's so wonderful, always helps with a smile on her face- very enthusiastic to organize the events and make sure to keep everyone engaged. 5 stars from me! Keep up the good work. read more

I have lived at Woodside for a year, a decision I made due to the high ratings on this site as well as the prices. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. The staff at this office will not only charge you fees for whatever they can think up, they will straight up ignore your emails when you try to get a concern addressed regarding something they are doing that isn't right. They will even straight up IGNORE the law and BREAK it willingly in order to get more money from you. You can speak to a lawyer, communicate with them with one, send them the text of the very law they are breaking and they will still not care nor will they back down. They're banking on the fact that you don't have the money or time to take them to claims court. Not only do they work with an overzealous towing company that ends up taking residents' own cars, they don't offer much beyond an 'I'm sorry' and 'here's a resident premium parking spot for one month for free'. They will not only just ignore your attempts to communicate with them, they do it on purpose because if their autopay system doesn't work or gets an error and you end up *one day* late on your rent (Because the system doesn't give you an alert most of the time) you best believe a notice to pay in 30 days or be evicted will be taped to your door by dawn. They charge for things that fall under normal landlord responsibility under tenant law and ignore you when you point it out. They will do literally anything to bleed you dry and look you in the eye with a smile while knowingly ignoring the law to get more money out of you. The neighbors are great, but RAM management and the leasing office is abysmal at best and morally bankrupt at worst. DO NOT make the mistake I made and be lured in. They've also raised rent prices to a laughably over-market amount that does not reflect location, amenities, services or value. For gods sake these units don't even have a microwave and to open your kitchen drawers you need to first open the oven. Things break so easily you can look at something wrong and it'll break. Especially with what they're trying to charge going into 2024 this place has no more benefits to even think of. AVOID. read more

I always receive Amazing customer service from Eskedar. Thank you for always going above and beyond ! We appreciate you! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

We have been living at Woodside for exactly a month today. I wanted to take some time living here before actually leaving a review. This is going to be long but it covers a lot!! We started looking for an apartment in Dec 2018 for an April 2019 move. Probably too early for this area but I am very anxious and need to do things ahead of time. During this search we looked at probably 25-30 apartments and only 2 made my list for consideration. This shows you how particular I am! I wasn't even completely sold on the second one. But it was an option if desperate. Woodside has popped up as a suggestion during all this but I kept telling myself no because of the reviews here. But my coworker insisted I check them out. So in January I did. We met Phillip (who has moved on due to a promotion) and he was so delightful and kind! He showed us options in our price range and answered so many questions we had. He was always available via phone or email. He had his work cut out for him dealing with us. But he had us sold. The price was right, the units nice and clean and sold us on the area and amenities. During the time I came in for the lease signing the unit I wanted had been taking off the market by property management. I was disappointed but he immediately showed me another. Same thing happened again and I was about to walk away. The management wanted to raise the price and change the unit (floor upgrades). Phillip helped make the apartment happen at the price we were quoted and with carpet not hard wood floors, which is what we wanted and were sold on. We signed the lease! He helped us with referrals to sure deposit, cox communications and even Cort furniture. He made things so easy for us and I'm so thankful for that! Move in was very easy, sign some papers, get your keys and get your parking passes. In the first week we were here something happened with the fridge and it went out. They did some trouble shooting and when it couldn't be fixed we had a new fridge within an hour. Hooray! The dishwasher wouldn't drain so they came in and fixed that same day. So thankful for that! Dishwasher is such a nice thing to have when you hate washing dishes! My husbands car did get towed at no ones fault but our own. He didn't have a current inspection and that was our fault. Make sure to always have things current and your parking pass affixed to your window. We have never had problems with parking. There is always plenty. Visitor parking has been easy to get a pass and to use. The clubhouse is really nice! My kid loves that there is always snacks and she's obsessed with the old school arcade games. There is a lovely gym that I haven't used yet but can't wait to! The pool also looks wonderful and I can't wait to swim this summer! Everyone we have crossed paths with out walking and in the clubhouse has been really pleasant and great. The current staff is very friendly, helpful and always available to answer questions and help when you need it. I really like the package service in the front office- I don't have to worry about porch Pirate's stealing my things. Oh!! Something else I forgot to mention! They clean the grounds every morning! There is someone out every morning picking up trash that may be out there, they also vacuum the carpeted stairs. There are also brand new, just installed trash areas with bins and doors you use for access to keep things tidy and neat. No bugs have been spotted with the exception of one or two big ants- it's spring afterall. But no signs of roaches or mice or any other type of pest which I am so so thankful for! We love it here so far! I'll update if anything pops up and is worth mentioning. read more

This community has a convenient location and they try to cater to the residents needs. I'm currently attending a community event (wine & cheese social) & meeting other residents--this is the first event since COVID. I like my apartment & I enjoy living here. I'm happy to meet more of my neighbors! The amenities are nice, the gym is my fave. Like most ladies, I shop a lot & Amazon Prime comes in clutch with the delivery lockers. Too easy! Guest parking gets on my nerves a little, but it's also not that bad, honestly. There's visitor parking & for residents, we have decals. If you need, u can also get a temporary pass for your guest. There's a car care area that is also pretty convenient. There are a few nice options within walking distance--I'm active, so it's nice that there is a park right up the street. The neighborhood/community is welcoming & friendly. Kids out playing, people walking dogs, nature naturing. Come join our community! read more

This Apartment Complex will let the tow company tow your car in the middle of the night, even with a resident sticker and tell you there is nothing they can do about it! This is the professional management team you are going to get! I would bet that they get a "Kick Back" from the towing company. Don't get me started on the towing company! This is a horrible place to live! Don't let them tow your car and take your BAH. This place need put off limits! read more

If you rent here, you will be parking at Food Lion across the street or reserving a parking spot for $50 per month. In the last 2 years here I've dealt with garbage thrown all over the community, nails all over the parking lot, raccoons, mice, bees, various bugs in the apartment, the smell from the waste plant in the summer time, broken appliances, a leak in my ceiling (middle floor apt), which went all over and destroyed my tv, roku, carpet, and coffee table. My lease is over in April, if I make it until then. read more

This apartment is fine. We've been here for about 2 years now and have had our fair share of problems. But no place is perfect. It was a decent price for the area we were in. Wouldn't be my top pick but the location is great and I love how it's set back in the woods. read more

Don't live here. Parking is crap. Came home from work really late once to absolutely no parking! I had to park across the street in a lot by Walgreens then walk home. Management is a joke. We sent many requests for maintenance to find out why water was seeping into our apartment, especially after rainstorms. Instead of figuring out why, they sent a crew to replace the wet carpet. The carpet would dry and the crew didn't return to pick up their dryer until we called management. After this happened a few times, I finally filled out their survey they give when you pay your rent. I complained about the water issue. The very next day, management was calling me to ask about the issue. It seems someone lit a fire under them. The issue was finally fixed after months of dealing with it and sleeping on the couch. There a few shady characters there. I recommend keeping your phone on you and call someone as you walk towards your apartment. One night, I was approached by someone after I had just parked. I stayed in my car, made gestures (basically saying I couldn't hear or understand him) until he went away. Another thing about parking is that people will save spots with cones or have a person stand there. Towing alleviates the situation for a short time then you're stuck again. I suggest paying a bit more for something better or look farther out. It beats living here. read more

Good location and great community everything is fine no complaints and happy to be apart of this community

We've been living here for almost three years and we really like. The location is very convenient and close to work at Fort Belvoir. The maintenance staff is very responsive to all requests. Finally, the front office staff has been extremely helpful. We will probably stay a couple of more years. read more

Current Resident. I've lived her for 3 years now and I really like it. Parking isn't great, but if you pay to have a reserved space then you will always have parking. Also if you don't have a sticker or parking pass you will get towed . Maintenance is great! every time I call with an issue they come and fix it right away. The office has great customer service and will help you with any questions you have. It's a nice area and thankfully my commute to and from work is great! Its nothing luxurious but the apartments are very nice, you get what you pay for here. The neighborhood is nice and like every neighborhood in America you see the police once in a while. I would recommend living here. read more

Multi-year tenant here. It is a great place to live. Rent is reasonable and the units are spacious and beautifully updated. They also do fun community social activities. Plenty of parking that is free but you can also pay for a reserved spot. Gym is clean and open 24/7 but community area/game room only open when leasing office is open. Staff are friendly and great. read more

DO NOT GET DUPED!!!! STAY AWAY!!! COMPLETE TRASH EMPLOYEES OVERPROMISE TO CLOSE DEAL MANAGER IS INCONSIDERATE Employess exaggerated the parking and left out vital details regarding the visitor parking, which i expressed parking was my main concern before moving into thes apartments. Less than a week in and the "manager" tells me her employees were very clear on the policies and that I'm at fault for not listening. As I walk back to my apartment I count 12, i repeat twelve, vehicles not abiding by the policy that the "manager" just told me her employees make very clear to everyone. I took pics of every single one, went back to find out if they'd be getting towed as well only to find out she has zero concern for it. When she gets my discrimination lawsuit watch her "manager" ego go right out the window with her job. I could go on and on with this one but after seeing all the other bad reviews I only regret being in a hurry and not thoroughly doing my research. If you are looking for a new place, THIS IS NOT IT!!!! read more

CURRENT RESIDENT 2017 - 2018 Not Recommended Reviewed If you have kids DO NOT MOVE HERE. The place is surrounded by people who party, do drugs, and create constant ruckus all night. I am a single mother with two children and we never sleep because of our neighbor's partying. If you complain to the front office your directed to call the cops instead of them stepping in and doing their duty as property managers. When you raise a safety concern about constantly calling the police you are told that the management company "cannot guarantee safety". I was going to resign my lease before my new neighbors graced my presence but now I cannot wait to get out of here. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Management is terrible, maintenance is ok. They don't have major knowledge to fix things so they always have to be called back. The ground are disgusting. Trash all over the place and the parents of all the kids are never held to any kind of standard to keep the place clean. Our toilet has over flown repeatedly because there is no real water pressure. We have a major bug problem because the complex refuses to replace their faulty sliding glass door. Parking is beyond bullsh*t. They change management, it seems, like every other month now. AND now they are making people pay for visitor parking passes. You have to pay $5 for 48hr parking passes. Hey Woodside, how about getting rid of commercial parking and making some visitor parking and give the rest to the residents. This place is absolute garbage! read more

I have lived here since May 2018, the locale and amenities are well worth the rent paid. The maintenance response is noteworthy and Rigoberto is very professional and skilled in fixing any maintenance issues. Highly recommend a second look at this complex when searching for a place in Lorton. read more

A pretty nice place to live, overall, but the best part is the maintenance team (not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing). Benjamin and Rigo are professional, friendly, prompt, and get things done. They keep you apprised of their progress and when things are resolved. I can't say enough great things about the 2 of them. read more

The property management personnel are always professional and helpful. The maintenance staff is responsive and resolves all issues as quickly as possible. The grounds and common areas are always well maintained. The gym is awesome and the best news is the rent is extremely reasonable for this area. They call it Luxury Apartment, obviously they don't know what luxury is. If you call a new coat of paint, slapped on your walls, some new carpet, fake hardwood made out of linoleum, refurbished old appliances and cabinets that have been nothing but painted white to make it look new, Luxury, then I guess, you must have just moved in here from the trailer park. Then again, this might just be the place for Trailer Park folks. The office staff sure acts as if that is what they run here, the landscaping is soiled with dog poop, trash and more, the people who live here are sort of question marks to me, and huge bug and rodent infestation. In fact, the pest control guy who come out here to spray (only if you ask and they have time) told me, that he believes the mice live in the walls and it is not the first time they have problems with roaches and black widow spiders around here. So if that is the kind of place you are looking for, then woodside is the place for you. If you are looking for something well maintained, with a professional and educates staff, then RUN AWAY as fast as you can. read more

I agree with all the people who took their time to post all the comments. Please don't move here. First of all they never clean the hallway unless you tell them to clean it. The carpet inside the apartment is dirty. The floor makes so much noise whenever you walk. The stove in the kitchen is really bad. The pipe makes so much noise in the bathroom whenever people release water in the other apartment. The management is sucks. They full of lairs. The parking is also sucks. They charged administration fee which is another way of rubbing people. They also require you to have rental insurance which is sucks. You have to pay all the utilities. Again please don't move here. I can't wait to leave this apartment. I didn't want to give them any star. read more

Ever since new management, these apartments are now trash. The property manger has a very nasty attitude. They don't like fixing things. This apartments are on it downward curve, the apartments are old that were renovated some 10-12 years back and now look more worn. The location of the apartment community is located next to treatment plant and there is a constant strong stink of poop most of the time all over the community. The management are the worst, the property manager is very arrogant and so are most of the reps, they come up with new rules everyday and harass the residents. They also use the towing company to extort money from residents by towing cars for no reason and ignore the residents grievances. There have been burglary incidents in the apartment community recently as well. The community is full of bugs including bed bugs. I would suggest to stay away from this apartment community. I am waiting for my lease to end so I can leave. read more

As a resident of the last year and a half. I really enjoy living at Woodside. The area is calm. Very family oriented. My neighbors are very nice. The management and staff are very helpful in various situations. You can always find someone during business hours. The apartments a spacious for small to mid families, single bachelors and/or bachelorettes, and cozy once you put your own touch to it. I am a fan of Woodside. If you are looking for a new place to start a family or leave the single life I recommend Woodside. read more

It's going on five years since we lived in this community now. We have raised a family here within the last five years. The community is safe and for the most part our neighbors have been pleasant throughout our building. The property management generally responds to my concerns and requests in a timely manner. There may have been a time or two incidents where something didn't get resolved for whatever reason, but once brought to their attention, it was taken care of. They are currently renovating a lot of the homes and they have made the landscape more desirable to come home too over the last few years. My only complaint is that rent increases annually but that happens in most apartments; however, the increase hasn't been too bad. When comparing other nearby residences, thus far it's still cheaper. If me and my family stay after current lease ends, we hope to upgrade to a bigger apartment that has been renovated for the right price. So, all in all we have had a pleasant experience and enjoy our stay at Woodside Apartments. read more
