(UPDATED 10/8/2018)
i'm re-writing my review, cause i feel…read moreit needs to be updated. i've been living here for a couple years now, and ill go ahead and say a few pros and cons, but please note, i do love the place! i will say i'm also a simple, understanding person, but i'm also rather picky. i just say this cause i know everyone is different, and has different needs/wants when it comes to what they like in apartments.
also please note! the problemed person you may be reading about in some of these comments has been kicked out!
- pros. . .
1. if you are a dog person, and your dog is friendly with others, this place is meant for you! the dog park we have out front is one of the perfect places to get to know people in this apartment complex, and a lot of the dog people are really nice!
2. it's pretty quiet around here. now, don't get me wrong, there is a slight con, and that's when you're walking in the hall of the floor. if someone is talking in the living room/kitchen area of the apartment or has the tv volume up a bit, music playing..you can pretty much always hear it in the hall. our neighbors across the hall from us are missing the flap on the bottom of their door, so they're extra loud out in the hall, and we can hear them in our apartment. but they have young kids that like to laugh and such, and that's what we hear a lot. you never hear the neighbors next to you through the walls though! which is very nice. you also don't hear traffic too much either, aside from the bus exhaust every-now-and-then and a firetruck/ambulance/police car going by. we also have our apartment facing the road, so it makes sense a bit, but not all apartments do!
3. the office people are friendly! they're ready to help you out, if they can when you need it! when the management changed, everyone i think was disappointed and confused by the sudden change of the entire office change, pretty much everyone who worked there before doesn't anymore. but it's been a good couple months now, and everyone's calmed down and has gotten used to the new management from what i have noticed and heard. people were complaining at first, but i rarely, if ever, hear complaints about management anymore.
4. we have a small coffee room with a big coffee machine in it! that also serves hot chocolate and tea! the only downside is, though it says it has decaff, it really doesn't. my guess is it serves you a low dose of decaf coffee when you choose that option. either way, it's really good!
- cons. . .
1. it's not exactly rare for the fire alarms to go off at random. it does not happen often! but it's not rare either, and though its rare for them to go off soon after they come on, most of the time you have to wait till the fire department comes to turn it off, which isn't a long wait, but its longer then what you should deal with sometimes. however, i will say that they mostly go off during work hours on the weekdays, when/if they do go off. so there's probably a good chance this won't bother you what-so-ever.
2. the bathroom vents are connected to everyone! if someone is talking in the bathroom above yours or under, you can pretty much hear them. though it just sounds like mumbling most of the time unless they're yelling/screaming. you can also hear the people outside if there are people out there talking, but again, its mostly mumbling.
3. though you can't hear the people through the walls, you can hear them above you, stomping that is. if you live under people that stomp or constantly move stuff, you're gonna hear it all. i can actually hear them open and close drawers.
these cons are pretty much every apartment cons im sure, so just focus on the pros.
