Friends said we had to try Woods BBQ so I stopped for a brisket sandwich. Thought I would shock my wife with the enormous size of the sandwich. After one bite she told me to go get my own because she's eating this one. Once I went back and got another sandwich and tasted it I realized the combined juicy, tenderness, smoked meat with unique sauce came together as the most addictive BBQ ive had in a very long time. First and Foremost.. I want to say Mr. Woods is a very respectful humble young man. I'm a local and believe it or not..Not a BBQ eater. However, it was my son's birthday and he loves it, so I decided to give Woods BBQ a try. I called Mr. Woods on a Friday telling what I needed and he had it ready for pickup the next day. I'm telling you, we had ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese, potatoes, beans and cabbage with cornbread. Including onions, pickles and jalapenos. I can't express to you how "good" everything was. The meat was tender and moist and not too "smokey". And the sides were seasoned to perfection. In the South we use a phrase, "you put your foot in that". And to all that don't know this phrase it simply means it was "delicious". If you don't know ,now you know ...Woods BBQ is definitely the place to get some great BBQ. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed. And the fact that Mr. Woods is so friendly and helpful seals the deal. A 5 star rating isn't high enough. Stopped here on the drive from California to Florida for some authentic Texas BBQ and this place did not disappoint. The ribs and sausage are fire 10/10. The greens were hellaaaa good and so was the mac n cheese. Genuinely have no complaints. My dad got the brisket sandwich too and it was also 10/10. I forgot to get a picture because I inhaled it lol but believe me it looks as good as it tastes. Plus it's in a gas station so you can get beer haha but don't be put off by that you dont wanna pass this place up. Not only do I go here when I visit my parents, but Woods also catered my 100 person day-after-wedding reception! We received SO many compliments on the food and still continue to have people mention it. Everything was gone after people went back for seconds. It's also worth mentioning that Woods & family are the nicest folks and are so great to talk to, both when planning/at our party and when we pick up BBQ to go in the gas station (don't let the gas station deter you!).
