A great venue with reasonable prices, good food and solid drinks. With better service, I would have given 4.5 stars (that's right...Yelp can't trust us with half stars). The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path. That works if you are looking for good food; which the restaurant offers. We had a party of six of our table. Everyone agreed the food was very good. I had the Mile High Meatloaf. It was a great portion and was cooked perfectly. I added the salad bar for a minimal charge. It was well stocked with all the standard items and many tasty pasta salads. Several people I was dining with had the Cajun style walleye. They also received hearty portions and said it was really good. I have to tie our bar choices to our experience with our waitress. She was a young girl. She was very nice. Whoever trained her (or didn't train her) is responsible for her shortcomings. The poor girl had no idea about anything served at the bar. People at my table had to go up to the bar to look at the beers offered and to look at which liquors were available. First, the young lady should have been instructed to say, "Let me check on that". Secondly, someone could have helped her with a cheat sheet. It was an awkward 5 minutes of drink orders. Again, not her fault but failure by whoever "trained" her. Overall, the drinks were good. Another "training" failure was our waitress not returning to see if anyone needed anything or to see if another round of drinks was needed. No one to blame but management for not giving our young waitress the chance to provide exceptional service. Would I return? Indeed. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. If the manager did right by their employees, it would have been a truly great experience. read more

Beautiful rustic restaurant located off the beaten path on the site of a gun club. Has a big bar and exposed restaurant which includes a fireplace. They also have a connected hall that could host a small wedding or meeting. I was very impressed with the building but unfortunately I was underwhelmed with a few things. Primarily the drinks. Sadly in this area, especially on a Friday night, the night club experience includes a good drink, usually an Old Fashioned. The drinks we had were so lacking in booze and old fashioned mix, that it was like drinking soda. Watching the pours, the bottles had automatic pours on them, that I'm sure were set to less than an ounce. The prices were average, but the drinks were terrible. I would much rather pay more and get a good drink! Most of my group had the Friday Perch Fry. Like the drinks, I thought the pricing was on par with the other fish fries. The size (amount) of the plate was great. Some people in our group liked the unique panko breading on the fish, others did not like it at all. I thought it was different, but good. What I couldn't understand was that when we got there, we were the only ones in the bar and 3 tables of people were eating on a Friday Night during Lent in Catholic heavy Eastern Wisconsin. Better known as "Triple J" this is a staple on Friday night for their fish fry. Every time I come to visit family, we go here on Fridays. The dining room has a beautiful hunting lodge look with pine and a beautiful fireplace in the middle. I am partial to their perch plate, which comes with fries, coleslaw, and rye bread like always. They have great cocktails. Almost every time I come here they have some special event or wedding going on in their reception hall. This will continue to be one of my favorite Friday dinner spots and I highly recommend it! read more

Very nice facility for shooting sports. Several options from beginner (like me) to advanced. Well run with an emphasis on safety. We also had lunch after shooting clays which was a bonus. Lunch was outstanding. Overall...shooting, gun rental, ammo and lunch were a good value. We will come back next summer/fall. read more

Great food-beautiful building and surroundings- lackluster service. Showed up with a reservation on Thanksgiving for the lunch buffet. The hostess Donna was rude, distracted and overall just left a bad taste in our mouth. While walking our party to the table she stopped to chat with another table for several minutes and completely forgot she was bringing us to our table. After recognizing her blunder we were promptly seated. We waited about 10 mins on a waitress before helping ourselves to the buffet however no one ever showed up to take our drink order. We stopped a nearby waitress to request service and were told she'd be right with us. Everyone finished their thanksgiving dinner before ever being brought a drink, completely unacceptable. The food was lovely but this mess of service makes it doubtful I'd return. On the way out after paying the bill, Donna (older hostess) was being rude to the younger waitresses and it became clear she was the source of poor service as she wouldn't stop harassing the waitresses. We got there 635. Got our drinks .Waitress never checked back, went to bar to get refills. Had to ask another waitress how much longer on food. No food was coming out to any tables the whole hour but drinks were getting served.got our food waitress was less than apologetic and was slamming plates down. Husband ordered ayce walleye one piece, he couldn't even get a reorder in a timely manner because we were told a big table was coming in??so it was a disappointment. If you love shotguns and good food, head to Triple J Wing and Clay outside of Brillion, WI. Work took me to Wisconsin last week. I have a fantastic boss that knows I grew up hunting pheasant and love great steaks. He took us to eat at the Woodfire Lodge at Triple J Wing and Clay. Triple J is a short drive into the woods from Brillion, WI. When you pull into the road one will realize they have arrived pretty close to the promised land. The sounds of "pull" and 12 gauges responding to launched clays will greet you when you exit your vehicle. You see a field of orange clays and can smell powder on the wind. Not too far away stands a hunting lodge at the edge of the woods--it's the Woodfire Lodge. Triple J provides a full service sporting clays; pheasant and chucker hunts; and The Woodfire Lodge. The Woodfire Lodge is decorated with Wisconsin hunting motif. The menu is a simple mix of steaks, Wisconsin fresh fish, and classic entrees. I selected an Angus ribeye. It was well-seasoned and cooked to a glorious medium-rare! The baker arrived piping hot and loaded to the top with butter, cheese, sour cream, and chives. The daily vegetables were sugar snap green beans. It was a good Texas meal away from home... One of our party had the Wisconsin perch. It arrived piping hot and coated in cornmeal. The French fries were seasoned home fries. He really enjoyed it! The menu could have a more depth with more steak selections and surprisingly had no game choices. Sadly, we didn't have time to run the clay range. However, I look forward to returning with my 12 gauge to run the clay course and enjoy another meal at the Woodfire Lodge!! read more

I am posting this review for someone who is not able to do so: "This past weekend my daughter got married at Triple J Woodfire Lodge. Most everything was beautiful. The chicken, for a few of us, was raw. The manager got us a different plate of chicken which again had raw chicken on it. She took the chicken back and told us the owner was on the problem. The bride had no idea this was going on. We didn't feel she needed to get upset about this. Then the owner comes up to her, and I'm thinking he is apologizing when actually he was yelling at her and telling her to tell her people to quit complaining about his famous chicken. She started to cry. Who does this? I saw the people's chicken and it was for sure raw. This was not handled properly at all! Then the free beer didn't start until 8pm. The bartenders said they were told by bosses not to start until 8. Our contract said 7pm. So I guess they wanted more bar time to make more money. I was and am very disappointed in how this turned out as by the way NO money was knocked off the bill for the raw chicken or the fact he made the bride cry on her day. I will never recommend that place to anyone. I asked them to apologize to the wedding couple and he refused. As the dad of the bride, you want everything to be perfect for you child's wedding but they shouldn't get yelled at because their chicken was raw. Shot sporting clays at this facility and it is very poorly maintained. Shells that are months old and wires litter the grounds at each station, shooting station wood box frames are falling apart, gun racks are broken down and I wouldn't even set a mossberg down on the crappy stands that are about to fall over, birds were subpar for supposedly having multiple courses here. Will not return and would not recommend to an avid shooter that wants to play the game of sporting clays. There are other courses in the area I would recommend. read more

I used to really enjoy coming here. Formerly called Triple J, the owners changed the name to Woodfire in an attempt to distance themselves from the poor reputation the establishment had acquired. The menu no longer has any steak offerings. Instead they have dinners like bison meatloaf and tenderloin tips, both of these are well over $20. Salad is not included. However I do have to give credit where credit is due. Great beer selection, really cool lodge type fireplace that's surrounded by a few deep cushy sofas. Snowmobile trail goes right to the front door. I will continue to come here for a beer and sandwich at lunch when the snowmobile trails are open as it is close and the food is good, but I'm done having dinner at Woodfire. read more

I have no knowledge of the gun-club aspect of the business so that could be great for all I know. But I was the personal attendant for my nieces wedding at the "Woodfire Lodge" and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. They overstated the number of people that the location could hold, did not have enough physical space or servers (dinner didn't get served on-time and then it took them so long to clear the tables they didn't even get to serve the cake and the DJ had to start an hour late), didn't serve all of the food items that were ordered, double-charged for the alcohol after dinner, and then, to top it all off, by the end of the night every one of the bathrooms in the main building flooded. They have decent food, and for a small wedding they might be okay. But they could not handle 280 people, much less the 350 they said they could. read more

We are from out of state and tried Woodfire Lodge as it was recommended by several locals. My wife and I decided to eat our anniversary dinner there. She had a chicken and pasta dish, I had Prime Rib. She loved the chicken and I felt the same about the Prime Rib. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, was tender AND juicy. I am a hearty eater but the portion of prime rib was such I was able to not only get full but had enough for another meal. The staff was accommodating and helpful... It was a diamond in the rough as you drive into rural country to get there. Definitely will be back. read more

Attended a wedding. Not impressed. It took forever to get through the buffet line and they ran out of food! No coffee or milk offered and no refills on water or carafes of water on tables. Broasted chicken was not good and although I had called in advance to see if they could accommodate my medically-prescribed gluten-free diet and was told yes and what they would serve me, when I got there, no one knew about it. Acoustics are terrible. Banquet hall so loud you can't visit without losing your voice and so long that you can't see the bridal party at the other end. Only two handicap parking spaces! read more

You advertise on here Gun/Rifle Ranges I called asked on hand guns and rifles to practice there and lady didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Called a different phone number and asked the same thing that lady said just clays or birds she didn't know anything with hand gun or rifle ranges. I then went to there site and it said will rent hand guns and rifles. So then I emailed them several times with no answers back. I look at it this way if you want to run a business you need to answer emails and your staff needs to know what's going on. And there business needs to specify in what they have to offer. Yelp needs to look into this so people don't waste there time driving that far only to be disappointed. I just wish they would allow hand guns and rifles like it states. If you want to be ignored pretty much the whole time you are there and have it take over 2 hour's from start to finish then come and eat here. The food was great, even though when we ordered the pizza which was $10, we found out it was a frozen pizza, however it was good. Also the battered cod was good, but it tasted like deep fried minced fish. The artisan bread though was amazing!! our waitress also only came back 1 time. Would I go again, possibly, I just hope we don't get the same waitress. read more
