We had a great experience at The Ravine! Our waitress, Ashly, was fantastic. She clearly knows and enjoys the food, and she took the time to explain some of the customer favorites and make recommendations. She highly recommended the broasted chicken, but the portion was more than we needed this visit, but my friend ordered the chicken wings, and I tried one--they were delicious! The quality of the chicken really stood out. I had the deluxe pizza, and I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Throughout our meal, Ashly checked on us regularly without being overbearing, and everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and at home. We would definitely come back the next time we're in town. Food was very tasty, I had the chicken breast smothered with peppers, onions and mushrooms with Swiss cheese on top. Baby red potatoes came with a nice little cup of sour cream and chives. The real star was the soup, Chicken BooYah. Fresh veggies and lots of chicken, in a light tomato base. I'm a huge soup fan and could have eaten a vat of this. Service was attentive but not too much. Lots of sports playing. Would stop back when in the area, I love a local place where they cook everything as opposed to a chain. read more

Disappointing!  Do NOT go here if you want to hear and visit with the people you are dining with!  It was very loud.  The music playing was really loud, as where people at neighboring tables, no doubt trying to talk over the loud music!  When the restaurant was mostly emptied out, they finally turned the music down.   The Philly beef steak sandwich was tasty!  The waitress was friendly, if not the most attentive.   Sadly, I think they forgot to deep fry the French fries!  At least they were thawed and no longer frozen!   Their menu is very similar to The Rite Place.  You just pay a lot more at the Ravine. read more

Beware. As a party of three from Michigan, we were looking forward to a nice dinner at the Ravine Bar & Grill, especially since it was right across the street from our hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. It was my girlfriend's 31st birthday, and she asked for an alcoholic beverage. When the server asked for her ID, she presented her Michigan driver's license, and the server seemed confused. After looking at it, the server came back and said she wasn't comfortable accepting it. I offered my ID to show that it was similar, even though I wasn't ordering alcohol myself, but the server still wasn't satisfied. In fact, she turned to the other 5-6 servers behind her, hoping one of them would be willing to serve us, but they all refused. It was incredibly frustrating, and honestly, it felt like they weren't familiar with what Michigan IDs look like. We ended up leaving and heading to a different restaurant down the street, where we received excellent service, without any issues with our IDs. To fellow Michiganders and out-of-state guests, be warned: if you plan to drink at the Ravine, consider bringing a passport or multiple forms of ID to avoid any unnecessary confusion. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and we won't be returning. read more

Arrived at 9:15pm...showed they closed at 10:00. Walked in and were told we could only sit at the bar because they weren't serving food. Seems to me if your a pub and grill open until 10:00 and not 2am you would serve food until you closed at 10. For sure won't try again. Might want to post you stop serving food prior to your close time so people don't pass up other options before getting to you. read more

Love this location for lunch with team members. I find the location very inviting. It has the look of a sports bar, but the comfortable feel of a supper club. There are always groups of people visiting when I am here. My favorite was the group who clearly get together to play Sheepshead on a regular basis. On the latest visit, I had the perch sandwich. At first, I thought the perch was a bit light in color, but it had a perfect flavor. My friend had the tenderloin sandwich. He was surprised it was a beef tenderloin. (He was expecting pork) But it was again perfectly cooked. Service had always been great here. We were in and out within the hour. I have never visited for the dinner hour. We came as a small party of 13 Saturday after a funeral. We were greeted, but the staff seemed annoyed. The waitress seemed annoyed throughout and very short. When we came in, there were absolutely no other guests. I'd be happy to have a group come in. We didn't order anything extravagant. We did have 3 cheeseburgers that weren't good, but we were all hungry plus didn't want to irritate the server(we never got her name). Would I go here again, no. This was a nice place with good food and very good service, even though the place was busy when we were there. There were four of us, and we all liked what we ordered. Two of us ordered broasted chicken, and the portions were huge, definitely too much for one person. It was very good: crisp on the outside, moist on the inside. We also had a patty melt; excellent. I called in a to-go order while staying at the hotel across the street. My order was wrong, and I did t notice until back in the room. It's my fault for not checking. The reason for 3 stars is this, it was late, and I was exhausted when I called in. The bar tender decided to wait for me to arrive before putting the order in, "so it wouldn't get soggy." I ordered a chef salad. It wasn't going to get soggy like if I ordered a sandwich. She was nice enough to then say, "That just means you'll need to have a beer while you wait." Yup, the bill gets higher while I'm exhausted and still waiting on my salad. Did I mention the chef salad came out wrong! How do you F up a chef salad?! Great for events! We (along with 300+) were guests at a wedding reception held in the banquet hall. This place has it all: huge dance floor, exceptional bar area, photo booth and DJ booths tucked away in corners. The entire SEVEN hours we attended from cocktails at 5:00 pm to last dance at the stroke of midnight went without a hitch. The expert staff transitioned from dinner service to dance floor in the blink of an eye. Final Assessment: Beautiful space, excellent staff, tasty food. 5 STARS all around. read more

The Ravine is one of my parents' favorite places to go for a Friday Fish Fry! Although I've never had the fish from here, I definitely would try it at some point. When I visited, I had the Grilled Chicken Breast Plate -- it was a tender grilled chicken breast served with my choice of potato, some mixed vegetables, and a dinner roll. Wrong choice for dinner. Stayed at a motel next to the Ravine, so thought we'd try this place before a show at the Weidner. 45 minutes after ordering, our food had not arrived. Asked about it, and our waitress didn't know who we were nor where we were seated. Another man said it would be out in five minutes. It wasn't, and ended up leaving without dinner before the show. At one point some lady came over took our drink glasses, basically insisted that we have another which we didn't want or have time for. Bad vibes all around. read more

My daughter was married in Green Bay in June 2017. Her reception was at the Ravine. There were around 200 guests. There would have been room to fit quite a few more comfortably. The dance floor was also generous after dinner when some of the tables were removed. The facilities were perfect with round tables seating up to 10, a platform with a long head table for the bridal party and a good sound system. Our overall experience was very positive. A reception at the Ravine made for a relatively easy experience for me as the mother-of-the-bride. We were allowed access at 9AM the day of the wedding. This was sufficient, but not generous time for a late afternoon reception. The hall is pretty attractive with the chandelier and round tables and tablecloths with napkins of your choice of color. There is a long table available for placing a card box, favors, pictures of bride and groom or whatever. We bought two easels to put up frames that we wired with string and little clothespins with the escort card. The food was served unbelievable fast at exactly the moment agreed upon. The food was served family style. It was tasty and plentiful, though not particularly creative. John did a great job as DJ and the wait staff was great. He was organized in setting up any programming the bride and groom requested and used the play list the groom gave him. During the evening the room got too cold, but the temperature was adjusted quickly after I requested 2+ degrees. The sound was occasionally too loud for good conversation, but again was modulated after I requested it. The contact with John in the months prior to the wedding was complicated. We had a hard time getting a printed menu until a couple of weeks before the wedding. We needed it to confirm our additional meat choice and which appetizers we wanted to have served. I recommend communicating with John via MSN as email is not his strength. He was always genial when we did actually catch him. read more

This place is really close to my house and we visit usually several times a month. I love those broasted chicken plate but it's huge so we usually share it. I also love their chicken dumpling soup. It's so close in flavor to the soup my mom made us growing up so it's the perfect bowl of comfort food when I'm feeling homesick. On 1/1, our family celebrated Christmas as the Ravine. There were 17 of us. Kim was our waitress and she was phenomenal!!!! She took our drink orders while we were standing and kept perfect track of who ordered what and where they were standing. Menu orders and meals were very timely. Food was fantastic. Kim was very attentive and has a magnetic smile. Was great with my 94 yr old mother! Always smiling, able to give everyone correct meal. Stopped in for lunch last weekend after doing some rummage sale shopping. It's a big space and they were fairly slow so we had no problem finding a table right away. The service was good, our server was attentive and made sure our drinks were always full. The food was ok. Nothing great, but wasn't bad either. The one thing I really did not like is that they charge for everything you want on your burger. I had to pay $0.30 for a little bit of lettuce. It was the same if you wanted tomato, onion, etc. It also appeared that they had a good size event hall for weddings or other such events. Well I would definitely rename this place...more pub and diner, less pub and grill. Great cheese curds, but comes with ranch that is pre packaged and first ingredient is soybean oil. Fried chicken is tender and juicy, but absolutely NO seasoning. I ordered the reuben sandwich, cornbeef was tender and flavorful, but comes with a "side" of 1000 Island dressing...which comes in a package.
