We spent 3 years at IUCC ECC and cried when we moved away! Miss Rose, miss Melissa, Miss Mary, and Ms Irma became like family to us! My boys thrived here - made great friends with a very diverse group of students, learned more than I had ever expected for kindergarten prep, and were fed SO well by Ms Marta. They eat better now because their teachers encouraged them to try it all! My boys loved coming to school because they got to play. I still believe that's the most important part of preschool-creating the best kind of fun for kids to learn in! My favorite time of year was the family potlucks and Christmas shoes. We met all of our boys' friends parents. It was a great way for me to make friends too! Thank you for 3 great years ECC! Our youngest is sad he can't join you! We will always be grateful for our time with you.

Ask the Community - Woodbridge Children's School

Hi,I am so interested in your program for the favorable reviews.Do you accept kids for short term study like 3 months? Thanks and looking forward to your reply.

I know this is a late answer but I know they do take kids for short term. It's the same registration fee but the tuition is monthly so you can sign up for a short time or for years! :)

This was so bittersweet, as we all wished that she could stay longer (as long as possible) in Marco Polo! We didn't want to leave! We were a part of such a tight-knit, warm, supportive, and welcoming community - the teachers, fellow parents, all the students - that I truly believe that the bond forged and positive effects gleaned (both academic and non-academic) will last well into the future. We felt that the Reggio Emilia approach worked so well in helping kids of different character traits and temperaments grow according to their own pace and strengths. We loved all the teachers that have taught our daughter, as well as others we saw every single day in their various supporting roles (admin, front desk, meal times, science, subs, etc). It took a village, and boy was that village awesome. We could feel that the teachers (and everyone else) working there truly were there because they loved kids, and they loved helping kids thrive. The Preschool and Pre-K programs were particularly notable and instrumental in their roles in helping our daughter get more than ready for her kindergarten year (and beyond). Under the relatively new leadership of Ms. Kimberly, I saw notable improvements in terms of the variety of interesting new subjects, activities, and a stronger sense of direction, leadership, and community. We can't possibly thank Marco Polo enough for helping shape our daughter, for encouraging and loving her, and for supporting us throughout. Ms Amy, Ms Venus, Mr Erick, Ms Paris, Ms Fatemeh, Ms Destinee, Ms Kimberly, Ms Jing, Ms Caitlin, Mr Ruben, Ms Lisa, Ms Janet, and everyone else - you truly made Marco Polo such a wonderful journey for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The curriculum is thoughtfully play-based and beautifully rooted in nature and the world around them. Marco Polo has played such a meaningful role in shaping who our daughter is becoming. Going in,…read morewe wanted a place where our son could grow up as a warm-hearted, loving person and be instilled a sense of curiosity for the environment and people around him -- TRP has knocked it out of the park on both so far. In our second year with the school, our experience with teachers, staff, and families have all been incredible. Not only are teacher student ratios great, they pair up the teachers into perfect "teams" that seem to balance foundational principles really well. We see the teacher teams are able to prioritize both fun and education, fitness and discipline, and experience and creativity. TRP is where staff knows kids by names, and where families become new best friends. It is also situated in a quiet part of Turtle Rock with access to a ton of shared natural playground space where kids can hang out before, during, and after classes vs. some other options we looked at that are situated in the middle of a more commercial backdrop. School leadership under Maajed really emphasized this aspect, which resonated with us during the tours and has come through for our son in a big way IRL!

The classroom ratios are low, with attentive teachers plus circulating classroom helpers who provide extra support. The curriculum goes beyond just play, there's real structure, themes, and learning around letters, numbers, colors, and ideas. We've seen great growth in our kids academically and socially. Add there is a full time chef on staff for kids to have freshly cooked warm meals daily, that helped me greatly not have to worry daily about meal prep. As working parents, we really appreciate that Turtle Rock offers full day care while still providing a strong educational and playful environment. I don't have to worry if my kids are doing well as they update you nearly daily with photos and messages , and you can message the teachers as needed as well throughout the day . We're very grateful for the dedicated teachers and staff and would highly recommend this school.

One of them even told me that when their kid started here, everything became about "Jenny Hart." After my child joined, I can absolutely confirm that it's all true, this school really lives up to its reputation, and I only wish we had found it sooner. The teachers here are not only highly professional but, more importantly, incredibly loving and patient. My child has learned so many valuable selfcare skills using the potty independently, cleaning up after meals, and putting toys back where they belong. He's also picked up new knowledge like counting, recognizing colors and shapes, and even learning letters and his own name. Every week he proudly brings home drawings and crafts, and he has made so many new friends along the way. Every morning when I drop him off, I can feel the joyful and energetic atmosphere as teachers and children greet each other warmly. In the afternoons, the phrase I hear most often is: "Can I play a little longer?" Whenever I ask, "Do you want us to pick you up earlier or later?" he always answers, "Later, I haven't played enough yet!" Sometimes on weekends he even wakes up asking to go to school, and when I remind him that it's closed until Monday, he sighs and says, "But I miss my teachers. I want to see them." I would like to give special thanks to Ms. G and Ms. B. My child feels so much love and trust from them, and they've patiently taught him so many life skills and knowledge. I myself always feel warmth and care in my conversations with the teachers and the directors. The school also organizes wonderful activities, such as Foam Parties, Puppet Shows, and Prehistoric Pets. One of the most exciting moments for my child was being able to touch animals he had never experienced before: a baby alligator, a baby python, a turtle, a lizard, and more. I am so grateful that my child can spend such unforgettable days here. I truly believe that when he grows up, he will look back at his time at this preschool as one of the most precious and joyful memories of his childhood.

Ms. Megumi does a great job of maintaining the garden. There are bugs, butterflies, seeds, and plants the kids interact with, and the kids even get to eat vegetables from the garden. The school community puts real effort into family events. The Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and the Christmas Fair are fun for both kids and parents. We enrolled that fall in the 3 day a week program M,W, F. He loved the school, and loved his teachers Miss Miki and Miss Marisela. It felt very magical from the beginning, from the fantastic play yard to all the smiling faces and happy kids. We knew early on how much we enjoyed the school so we enrolled our youngest daughter into the Parent/Toddler program as soon as she was eligible at 18 months. Miss Colleen was wonderful and we faithfully did every session until our daughter was 3 and old enough for the main pre-school program. And she started her pre-school at 5 days a week right away because she was so prepared and ready for it thanks to all of her time with Miss Colleen. Our son went up to 5 days a week for his pre-kindergarten year. He had Miss Tami and Miss Miranda and our whole family loved Miss Tami so much. We started feeling that sense of teacher loyalty. So we admit we were secretly hoping Miss Miki would be our daughter's pre-school teacher too because we were so happy with her, only to find out that Miss Jaime was the perfect match! Our little one blossomed so much during her year with Miss Jaime and Miss Cherie. We finally realized ALL of the teachers are fantastic. So as she was cruising through her pre-kindergarten year last Fall with Miss Betty and Miss Lisset, our family was beginning to feel nostalgic and the distant sting of not having Child's World in our life anymore after 4 wonderful years. It has been a pleasure dealing with everyone at the school from Miss Cindy to now Miss Mai as well as Miss Kelly and Miss Donna, the administration team has been steady, professional and helpful. We also want to give a special thanks and mention to the wonderful other teachers on campus like Miss Cece, Miss Carolina, Miss Amber and Miss Megumi who also made a personal stamp on the hearts of our kids. We loved all the events for the whole family especially Family Fun Day in the Spring and the Christmas Fair and Pancake Breakfast. Both of our kids always took part in the chapel days as well and they loved it, but we never felt any pressure to participate in church events. We can truly say that our experience with Child's World has been one of the best things about our life as parents in Orange County after moving here about 6 years ago. We took so much joy knowing what a wonderful head start they were getting on school, socialization and life outside the house in general. And we are so grateful. Thank you Child's World!

But it's important to note that we had fantastic experiences with the TEACHERS. This 1 star review is for the admin staff. This school is not equipped to handle children who might need a bit of extra support with neurodiversity or behavior struggles. The admin staff put in the bare minimum effort. While here, we had the following happen: - Admin staff recorded a video of our child having a meltdown as if he was on display instead of intervening, and they sent it to us via their app. - The office space where the admin staff works looks like a hoarder lives there, and they bring children back there if they need to regulate or need time away from their classroom. This area is not child proof at all, and when my son threw a marble it shattered their monitor and we ended up paying almost $1000 out of pocket to replace it. When we asked for the old monitor so we could try to fix it, they didn't reply. - We had our contract terminated with zero warning, while we were out of town. We were given a 2 week notice to scramble to find new care. We were told that our son was moved to a new classroom as "a final option" but that was never told to us. We had no idea that we were at risk of his care being terminated. Our child was devastated. The teachers also told us that they were NOT informed that this was going to happen. If our child needs extra support (beyond what we already did such as obtain an IEP and send him to ECLC for extra help 3 hours a day) we understand, but the communication was disgusting and disrespectful of the 4 years of time our son has been there. I wrote up a long response to them and it also was ignored. In talking with their contracted behavioral consultant, she agreed that this school does not offer adequate support for children who need extra help with age-appropriate behavior struggles such as the need to regulate their bodies, inability to sit and focus for long periods of time, issues with transitioning between activities, or kids who don't want to nap. If you've got a perfect angel kid and the admin never needs to get involved, SACC is fine. But they're in desperate need of new admin staff. There's a reason they haven't been full for a very long time. I fully expect they'll reply here and misconstrue the truth, and I'm not going to be baited into replying. Just consider I spent $100,000 of my money here and still return with a 1 star. My son is now thriving at a new school, and surprise - he's never missed his bus. They love him and he's had zero behavior issues at his new school in the 6 weeks he's been there.
