My daughter has grown leaps and bounds emotionally, socially, and academically since attending Little Explorers Montessori. When looking for childcare, trust is the number one thing parents look for. Our family wholeheartedly trust the teachers here. The quality of time and effort they put into the children is so amazing. The low student to teacher ratio is another reason why it's been such a success. Detailed and individualized care is given to each child. The materials used are perfectly crafted for learning. Julia and Vlad show. So much love and care and you can feel it radiating the moment you step into the school. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our daughter to learn and grow. The value you receive from this school is unmatched

This daycare has brought happiness not only to my son but to our whole family. We are truly grateful. It has all the advantages of a home-based daycare, without any of the typical drawbacks. Here are just a few reasons why: The teachers are everything when it comes to choosing a place to care for young children -- and in that regard, this daycare scores beyond perfect. Ms. Julia and Mr. Vlad, along with their amazing staff, always greet the children with warm smiles. They are caring, patient, and handle discipline with just the right amount of firmness and kindness. As a result, the kids both love and respect them -- and they listen well! The daycare uses the entire first floor of their home plus the backyard, creating a cozy, homey atmosphere. But at the same time, the space is fully designed for children -- much like a larger preschool. There are swings, a slide, a seesaw, and even rabbits and parrots for the children to enjoy! Despite being a home daycare, there are engaging daily activities, many of them Montessori-based. There's even gentle academic learning, tailored to the kids' pace. In just 3-4 months, our child joyfully mastered phonics here! Every week there's also a "Show and Tell" time that our child would look forward to -- likely because the teachers are so encouraging. They also make sure play is part of every day. In the summer, there's daily water table play. They even change each child into dry clothes afterward -- something many parents, including myself, would find hard to do at home every single day. Because of all this, our child -- who struggled to adjust emotionally at a large preschool before -- became visibly happier at this daycare. He looked forward to going each day, shared lots of joyful stories about his teachers and friends at home, and even sometimes asked to stay longer at pickup time!

I'm not really a person who writes reviews but I felt that I need to share. My child is graduating Little Explorers Montessori and is going straight to the first grade this fall! It can sound a little scary and overwhelming, but I can easily tell that my child is ready! Based on the academics and the knowledge that we see at home, our child is by far ahead of the fists grade. I'm not talking about the alphabet and the basic skills, I'm talking about reading and having a complete comprehension of the text! I'm talking about Math, where the child is very comfortable working with big numbers and is not afraid of math problems! We see a great balance of education, that goes hand in hand with social skills, self care, manners and complete independence! A child who is reading signs, commercials, street names, etc. on the way to school, and that is not even the first grade! We have been with Little Explorers Montessori for almost three years now, and I know for sure that we will be stopping by to say "hello" to the school pretty often! We, as parents, have to be honest with ourselves that a child spends way more time in childcare and with their class than with us. That's where all the learning happens, especially during sensitive periods of 0-6 years old! I'm truly fascinated and forever grateful that we had that connection with the school and that we were able to find our fit! Thank you again Little Explorers Montessori!

I absolutely love Little Explorers and am SO grateful to have found them after interviewing 3 other places in Orange County. We enrolled our son at 10 months old and he is now almost 4! That's how much we love and trust Julia and Vlad and how happy we are with the level of care and attention they provide our son. They offer a warm home environment that feels very natural and cozy. All the food is home-cooked which is a huge help for a mama like me that feels strongly about healthy eating. The toys are simple and encourage imagination and creativity and their Montessori style teaching has taught our son highly valuable life skills that have helped him thrive in language, social play, and independent work. I feel such peace of mind knowing that while I'm at work, he is being well taken care of, learning, and having a great time. I also appreciate how openly they communicate and send pictures of what our son is working on to keep us connected to his day. I highly recommend this school!

After visiting numerous of places, I'm grateful I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Even if you're unfamiliar with Montessori, sign up anyways! You won't regret leaving your children in their care. Your child will be loved, safe, and make a lot of fun memories. It's been a year already for our little man! I never felt 100% about enrolling our 6month old in any of the places we visited. I was beginning to think that maybe I just wasn't ready until I did a tour with Little Explorers Montessori (LEM). Not only did I love the fact that they had Montessori materials, but they actually practice and implement the Montessori philosophy (which is hard to find both with in-home Monti schools). Mrs. Julia & Mr. Vlad were so friendly and welcoming. I love that they are a husband and wife team. Our son immediately warmed up to them and kept smiling at them. I loved seeing that he was already comfortable enough to crawl towards them and even climb on them as we asked questions about their program. Meeting with them you can tell they care, are competent, keep a beautiful classroom/home, but seeing how safe our baby felt and happy he was, sealed the deal. I immediately knew that our search was over. We enrolled our son part-time (2 days a week). It's now been almost a year. Isaiah enjoys going to Monti school and participates in activities. It's obvious that LEM has your child's development best interest. It took about 2 weeks to adjust, but now he looks forward to seeing his friends. I love that they get multiple fresh healthy snacks and meals. Pricing is reasonable and on par with other high quality establishments. When it comes to your child's care, in my opinion, you get what you pay for. Here, they have great food, small classroom size, positive environment, engaged knowledgeable staff, and quality materials on rotation. They do such a great job changing things up outdoors and in the classroom to make it feel like a fun new place to explore. Highly recommend! They're even flexible if I need to add a day due to an emergency.

Dear Ms. Ruby, Ms. Susie & Ms. Jessica -…read more I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the beautiful graduation ceremony you hosted yesterday. It was clear from every detail that an enormous amount of care, creativity, and dedication went into making it such a special occasion. As a parent, watching our children take the stage with such confidence, poise, and genuine excitement was an absolute joy. The fact that they were so well-rehearsed and yet still completely in the moment is a true testament to the incredible work your teachers and staff do every single day. The event was so thoughtfully organized, and it showed. Every moment felt intentional and meaningful, leaving all of us parents with full hearts and the biggest smiles. These are the memories our families will treasure for years to come. Please know how deeply appreciated you all are, not just for yesterday, but for everything you pour into these children throughout the year. You don't just teach them; you help them grow into kind, capable, and confident little people. Yesterday was a beautiful reflection of that. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making this milestone so truly unforgettable. With warm gratitude, Happy Mama

Our child has shown progress in language and social skills, and the staff puts clear effort into milestones like graduation ceremonies and holiday events. The campus itself is clean and modern. This is definitely one of the top 10 Montessori schools in Orange County. Refine a few operational details, and they have the potential to easily break into the top 5. Areas for Improvement: Teacher rotation does cause disruption in student learning. While staffing shifts are common, the school needs to do a better job of getting ahead of these rotations and being proactive about the transitions. Furthermore, the administration should establish a structured, year-round channel for parental feedback. While daily communication from individual teachers is fine, an administrative feedback loop like bi-annual parent surveys would allow families to share insights on scheduling logistics, administrative clarity, or classroom dynamics. It remains a solid option for families in Irvine, and showing better foresight regarding teacher transitions and structured parent communication will help them reach that next level.

As her mother, I was even worried that she might have a speech delay because she wasn't really talking yet. To my surprise, within about a month of starting school, she began speaking in short phrases. I was amazed by how quickly she learned and could recite nursery rhymes from memory. Since then, her development has been remarkable. Today, she is fluent in both Mandarin and English, can recite classical Chinese poems, and has learned over 100 Chinese characters. More importantly, she has become a confident, happy, and curious child who is excited about learning. We have been so grateful for all of her teachers over the years, including Ms. Jie, Ms. Deana, Ms. Clare, Ms. Wendy, Ms. Lily, and many others. Every teacher has been caring, patient, and supportive. My daughter has also made many wonderful friends at school, and it's been heartwarming to watch her social skills blossom. The school itself is beautiful, clean and has state-of-the-art facilities. Personally, I love their library the most--it's such a welcoming and enriching space for children. We highly recommend this school to any parents looking for a nurturing, academically strong, and supportive environment for their children.

At M.I.A., she has learned great life skills such as putting away her things, confidence, independence, cooking, writing, healthy snacking, folding clothes, and politeness, to name a few. When we were at her annual doctor's appointment, my daughter impressed all of the other parents in the doctor's waiting room when she got up from the kids table and pushed her chair all by herself (a polite habit she was taught in her M.I.A. preschool class!). One of the highlights of this school is the lunch program: a very nutritious, rotating menu of Japanese-style dishes that you can opt-into. My daughter loves broccoli, fish, and many new foods now because of the healthy lunches at M.I.A. There are so many fun events throughout the year, such as the Sports Festival (Undokai), plays/musicals, cooking classes, observation weeks, cultural events, and the school is great about sharing pictures of the students' activities so we can get a sense of their days. It took a couple weeks of transition, as is to be expected, but once she got into the routine and became familiar with her teachers and the other students, she is happy to be there. She often just wants to keep playing when I come to pick her up at the end of the day! Our daughter is in Ms. Melgar's class. We have had a great experience with Ms. Melgar. She keeps us up to date on our daughter's progress and has reached out to us to discuss things like potty-training and what tasks are being taught in school. The Montessori philosophy is about helping kids learn age-appropriate life skills, and that for kids, play is their form of work because it's how they learn. Ms. Melgar makes an effort to spend one-on-one time with each child in the class to help them develop skills like pouring water into a cup, washing their hands, doing puzzles, making their snack, and mopping the floor. They also do artistic activities like painting and crafts. Our daughter has learned so much already in the 3 months she's been at school and her vocabulary is growing a ton too! They have a great student-teacher ratio. Although the requirement by law is 1 teacher for every 6 students, they almost always have more teachers around than this minimum. The teachers do a great job of keeping parents in the loop and sending daily updates on how long the children napped, how much of their snacks and lunch they ate, and bathroom/diaper updates. They have child-sized toilets and they teach the children how to sit on the toilets (even if they are still in diapers) just to familiarize them with it, which should make potty-training easier when the time comes. They allot about 2.5 hours for nap time, where the lights are off and shades are closed and the room is quiet. Kids who wake up early can play quietly, but it's a very conducive environment for kids who need a longer nap. Our daughter routinely naps 2.5 and sometimes even 3 hours at school.

When we caught glimpses of the teacher and student interactions we could see that there was genuine care for the well-being of each of the children and the teachers were very knowledgeable and available to give us advice. It was also pretty amazing that the staff know each of the kids by name! How they manage to do that with so many kids, I have no idea.
