BEST DAYCARE EVER! If you've been researching and debating on where to bring your little ones, stop here! We started bringing our little one to Nazy's when she was around 5 1/2 months old and she's now almost 20 months old and LOVES it there (& so do we! Lol). Not only does Nazy and her assistants take great care of her, but you can tell they genuinely care for her and love what they do. They spend a lot of time playing outside, playing inside, doing arts and crafts, etc. An important thing for us was communication. From the jump, Nazy has always had great communication with us and we have never had any issues. There have been times where we were running late for pick up or had to drop her off a little earlier than usual and Nazy was able to be flexible each time. Being a first time mom, I relied heavily on other people's reviews for daycares/daycare providers. I saw nothing but amazing reviews for Nazy and her assistants. By the time of this review, I believe I have toured at least 10 daycares and I have to say, Nazy has been the best. Her home is bright and well lit, it's clean and her and her assistants as well as the children are happy. When I walked in, I had a feeling that this was it for my baby. Unfortunately, she does not have space for me. But that didn't stop her from trying to help me. She called the contacts that she knows and trusted on my behalf and sent me there to tour. She asked me clarifying questions about my needs so she could best help me. She offered to take my baby in on a short term basis so I could find a good fit (she had room for my baby for 2 weeks but not longer than that). Out of all the daycares that I've contacted, no one has taken the time to help me in this way. Im so grateful. I'm sad that I couldn't send my baby to Nazy but I want to acknowledge what an exceptional human she is based on my experience with her. Nazy and her staff are some of the most warm, patient, and loving caretakers I've met. My 2 year old daughter acclimated very quickly and I felt reassured she was in a very safe, clean, intimate environment where it almost felt like she was going over to a relative's house. I appreciated the prompt responses I'd get to the questions I'd ask. Melody Child Care has been a home away from home for both of our children for the past few years. My daughter started at 18 months old after being asked to leave her previous daycare because she couldn't get on the same nap schedule as the other kids and needed extra attention. Nazy welcomed her with open arms and was the nurturing caregiver our daughter needed. She stayed with her until starting pre-school and then my son started at 4 months old and is still there at 3.5 years old. I can't recommend this childcare enough! It is a wonderful, nurturing, and loving place for babies and toddlers, a family extension, in a home like setting (a private house). The staff is professional, the place is clean and and they serve healthy homemade food! Nazy is the third grandmother we didn't know we needed. She is kind and thoughtful and most important makes our child feel so loved each and every day. I feel so grateful for having found her. As a first time mom, every worry felt so big and having her around to talk through them was tremendously helpful. She cooks organic food every day, has multiple assistants (making sure there is a high caregiver to child ratio), and helps prepare children for preschool. She can also help babies learn how to bottle feed. They read lots of books and sing songs and it shows. My son is not even two and sings the ABCs and is already working on numbers. Melody Child Care has been a huge blessing for my family over the past four years. The owner, Nazy, has been running this licensed daycare for 20 years. We are so pleased with our decision to enroll our son in Nazy's home daycare. The environment is cozy, perhaps not the finest, but the children are so delighted there. My son is at comfortable and is attached to the teachers very quickly. He is almost 3 years old now, and he has a big smile every day when entering the room. The teachers are very friendly. I was very impressed with how they take care of the infants with so much attention. We were very hesitant (especially in the middle of the pandemic) to send our daughter to daycare until we met Nazy and her wonderful team. We signed my son up after many, many glowing recommendations from our friends and neighbors. I now join Melody's fan club. It's an at-home daycare, small, loving, fully organic. They can do half-days too. Many of the kids there are UCI profs' babies. Every morning, my son runs through the door to join his little friends and sometimes he doesn't quite want to leave! I know he is very loved there. They have great activities and my son speaks plenty of English (not a language spoken at home) and loves numbers. My child has been going here for the past three months, and we are very happy with the service and kindness shown by the owner and her staff. I feel very reassured leaving my child as they are attentive to her needs, have a very child-friendly environment and are concerned about safety. Nazy, the owner of Melody Child Care in Irvine, CA is a nurturing soul who never stops loving the children in her care as if they are her own. I feel very happy and safe trusting Nazy with my baby Michael. Nazy goes out of her way to pay special attention to the children and keep parents updated on their child's progress. She has over 17-years experienced in child care, child development and industry standards in general, and this gives me peace of mind. Melody's location has also been very convenient for me. The 10-minute drive for me from my job is well worth it for the quality of care even though there is a larger well-known child-care center/chain right next to my building. I met Nazy in the spring when I was looking for a better child care for my 11-month old infant son Michael after being at a larger day-care center where he would have been transferred from room to room each year. We are first-time parents, so I was very selective about whom I trust with my child, and I was looking for that consistency and quality of care that is the next-best thing when we can't be there. Nazy and I spoke on the phone a few times, and I was very happy with her professionalism. I liked the idea that she would always be a consistent maternal figure in my son's life for all his years at Melody (I want Michael to experience and learn the values that he picked up at Melody). Nazy welcomed me into Melody and answered all of my lengthy and detailed questions. We spoke quite a few times, and she helped calm my concerns about the transition to Melody. I felt comfortable enough to share my experiences with her about other childcare providers and what I was finding in my childcare search. She was looking for a mutual fit rather than overcommitting to childcare needs and I could immediately see she was trustworthy. She truly wanted what was best for my child and us as his parents. Some of the many factors that helped me to choose child care at Melody was the very visible loving care of Nazy and Alba and Marta, her helpers. When I visited Nazy and brought my son for his my one-day trial, Alba was there super-early to greet my baby with affection and Marta welcomed me immediately when I met her and expressed how I should consider Melody my home. I will never forget that. I also love the fact that I can communicate very well with Nazy-she is very easy to speak frankly with, and she makes time to speak to you if you have questions. I always feel like setting the tone starts with the owner/director of the child care, and Nazy definitely makes it a point to listen to parents and pay special attention to the children's general and daily needs. She notices immediately if the children appear vulnerable or are exhibiting changes in their behavior. For example, because Michael is a bit of a dependent baby who prefers to constantly be held or be in the line of sight of his caregiver even when playing on the floor, Nazy makes it a point to communicate with me about his progress and how he did that day. Other factors that remind me that I made the best choice are the generous space for children to run around and freely play, the cleanliness, the safe surfaces, the variety of toys, the colorful setting, the quiet areas/times for sleeping, the child-friendly music, the 2 large outdoor sections, the delicious and fresh food and snacks and the welcome atmosphere for parents to stay with their children while they adjust to the new setting. Nazy cares for children at a variety of ages and that also was important to me as Michael loves older children, and it advances his development. Nazy has also been helpful and accomodating with our early drop-offs and pickups which helps when you are managing 2 very different work schedules. We are first time parents and I wanted to ensure that if I was returning to work, our daughter would be in the care of someone who would continue to show her love and help her thrive. Nazy came HIGHLY recommended by a family friend who used Melody Child Care for their two daughters after having started at another location. They described her as a grandmother-like figure to their family and I couldn't agree more. When we reached out she was very helpful in working with our schedules, talking through any questions we had, discussing our baby's needs (including things we hadn't even thought of), and helping us to start care as soon as possible (at around 3.5 months old). Nazy and her entire team (Tabi, Maryam, Soheila) are all wonderful people and caretakers. We were slightly nervous because we had been unsuccessful getting our daughter to take a bottle from us prior to starting at Melody Child Care. After starting there, she was eating well from a bottle within a day or two and now after only a month she is practically holding the bottle herself and readily takes it from both my husband and I when needed now. The home is incredibly welcoming and clean. Our daughter is greeted by name when she arrives and departs; it is these little details that truly warm my heart. We have dropped off at several different times and have been able to see the older kids doing different activities. Our daughter has benefited from the ability to not only watch and interact with them in a safe, developmentally appropriate way but also from the individual attention. They even helped her to make a cute footprint artwork for Daughter's Day. Her eating and sleeping habits have been virtually uninterrupted and she is babbling, smiling, and laughing even more at home which I think speaks to how comfortable she is attending this care facility. Nazy has also been tremendous at accounting for how she eats or sleeps there, while often sending cute photos which also help me with the separation. All of this has been so critical to me personally as well. I recently lost my own mother last year and although she cannot be replaced, the care and warmth that the team has shown to my daughter and myself has been extremely supportive as we navigate the transitions through new parenthood and to daycare. My husband and I are also both graduate students, and knowing that she is being cared for by an excellent team helps us to focus our attention to achieve our career goals. My daughter has been learning and growing at Nazy's/Melody Child Care for about 9 months now. I have three kids, and have done every type of childcare arrangement (institution, preschool, cooperative, babysitter, live-in nanny, etc.) Of all of them, Nazy's is by far and away the best for infants and toddlers. I concur with the praise of the other reviewers re cleanliness, homey feel, excellent healthy meals, etc. At Melody Child Care, your kid will be loved! When my daughter arrives, she is met with smiles, laughter, and a hug. Nazy's assistants, Martha and Alba, are both wonderful, and they work well as a team to provide lots of attention and stimulation. Everyone is commenting on my daughter's accomplishments because at just past 2 years old, she talks in complete sentences, can sing the alphabet song, put her own shoes on, etc. They always ask if she goes to one of the expensive and fancy daycares in the area (and by the way, many of those are quite good and I've sent my other kids there). But no, all this amazing learning and joy from my daughter is the result of Nazy and her staff. I could not be happier, and my daughter is flourishing. Nazy and Martha, the leads at Melody, are wonderful caregivers. We moved here a year and a half ago, and our son has been going to Melody Day Care since then. He loves it there, and we often have to beg him to come home at the end of the day. Highlights: the daycare has a very homey feel; Nazy cooks healthy (international) meals; they helped potty train our son; the space is always very clean; they listen attentively to any special concerns you may have, and follow up on them. My two-year-old has been going to Nazy's for almost 3 months now. We started there because she came highly recommended by my best friend whose child attended. After a long search it came down to a very large center vs. a home day care setting at Nazy's. Words cannot express how happy I am with my decision. The bottom line is that my daughter is more than happy to go to Nazy's every day and now that she's comfortable there she doesn't want to leave at the end of the day when I pick her up. And ALL of the kids are happy whenever I am there. Nazy is very personable, knowledgeable, and experienced. It shows! She always has the right information for me to show me how well Sierra is doing and even in areas where she struggles. This shows me how much she truly cares about the kids. She is always willing to take the time to talk with the parents about their kids as well as about the parents needs. She has always been extremely open to working with my schedule changes, etc. The house is a very light and happy atmosphere and Nazy has tons of toys that she rotates so that the kids are always happy. I have yet to find something she doesn't cover in her daily activities; painting, physical development through use of cars/slides/etc, alphabet and number work, music, reading, signing, sharing, etc. What my child eats is very important to me and there is NO better place to make sure that your little one is getting a healthy meal/snack. Nazy's helpers Marta and Alba are two very compassionate and capable women who both speak Spanish so this is also a great environment to expose your child to a second language. I believe Nazy speaks French and Farsi as well. On the same token there are various different nationalities of children/families who attend so it is really great exposure for young children. I could not be more happy than I am with Melody Childcare and highly recommend it! Our twins were with Nazy and her wonderful staff for close to 7 months, which was their first experience in daycare as 2 year olds. They loved it there--most afternoons it was impossible to convince them to come home! The staff is extremely caring and nurturing and the daycare provides a really nice balance of a structured day with lots of playtime and choices of activities for the kids. My twins loved the healthy food, including Nazy's famous rice and lentils. Nazy is very responsive to parents and worked with us on potty training, which was a huge help. Nazy is a wonderful and loving woman who I instantly felt very comfortable trusting. Both of my kids love her. Prior to Nazy's daycare I had always enrolled my kids in more institutional "business" daycares, but Nazy's place is safe and secure with a voice alarm that alerts whenever the front door is opened and a secure gate/wall around the outdoor area. It is on a quiet residential street. Nazy feeds the kids healthy food and gets my son to eat all types of things he is more picky about at home. My daughter has been going to Nazi's for 2 years, we tried first a school type day care and it was so impersonal, the food wasn't healthy, my daughter was getting sick all the time and then we finally found Nazi and Martha and our daughter and our entire family love them. Nazy and Martha have been taking care of our daughter since she was a year old and we couldn't be more pleased with the love and care they give when she is there. We tried institutional daycare centers before sending her to Nazy's but were not satisfied with the emotional care they extended towards the children. However, the minute we walked into Nazy's home, the loving environment and the happy kids sealed the deal for us. Unlike other daycare centers Nazy adjusts to our daughter's schedule.
