Lunch time around 1200pm on a Thursday seems a perfect time to stop in for lunch. Not too crowded and service was quick. Staff were friendly and attentive to us. Did notice that in the side of the parking lot there were several charging stations for electric vehicles so that was a nice thing to see.

We got the burger with fried onions, bacon, and cheese at The Wooden Tap and it was absolutely incredible. The burger was delicious and everything came together perfectly. The service was good and the atmosphere is great for hanging out with friends. Definitely a great spot for a casual meal and a fun night out!

We kicked things off with a refreshing guava margarita and then went all in with a margarita flight (rhubarb, dragonfruit, strawberry, and elderberry) Of course, we had to follow it up with a spicy mango margarita for a little kick For food, we started with calamari and chicken nachos for the table. I went with a buffalo chicken wrap paired with Parmesan tater tots, while my partner had the filet mignon topped with crispy onions, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. And because it was a celebration... green tea shots were definitely involved We wrapped the night with crème brûlée that was insanely creamy and the perfect sweet finish. Good drinks, great food, and even better company! couldn't have asked for a better vibe

Visited recently during vacation. We came back a year later to try again . We had a reservation for 5 .we did go during happy hour many tables open. Very slow service. Waitress apologized for the kitchen they said was short staff . It was also Taco Tuesday . After waiting an hour was offered some chips and salsa to eat . When food came out a dinner was completely cold which manager did comp. Food was just ok . Casual setting louder on bar side . Buffalo chicken dip was good . Hummus platter they downsized to half of what they served a year ago. Kids Mac & Cheese was same . Drinks were good alcoholic and mocktails. Tacos were good . Sandwiches not so good

Came here for a birthday celebration with a group of 16! We had an awesome time and our server was amazing. I ordered the fried calamari to start. It was good. For dinner I got the FILET MEDALLIONS* Perfectly seasoned, fork tender, topped with our delicious bordelaise sauce* it came with 2 sides I pick Brussels sprouts but they ran out. So I got asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. As for the steak I ordered it medium and it came out medium well with a char on the outside. From the steak being so charred on the outside that was all you could taste. So I didn't really enjoy it. We ended with crème brûlée for dessert and it was yummy. I was happy with my overall visit until I realized the next day when I looked at my credit card statement and saw that I was overcharged 150$ I called the restaurant and there was confusion with another bill at the table that wasn't paid. This restaurant thought it was OK to add the other bill onto mine when I had already signed for my final bill of 100$ . After talking with the restaurant, I got my money refunded to me.

Visited on a Saturday evening so it was lively but no wait. While sitting at the bar, I was able to take it all in. The place is pretty big with outdoor seating, booths and more. The bar is nice too, and pretty stacked. Service was a little slacking however - the bartender failed to mention the reverse happy hour and only gave us the standard menus. It wasn't until someone asked that she gave us the late night happy hour specials which, might I add, are a good deal! Its everyday starting at 8:27pm. Odd right? There's a story behind that. I didn't have food and just had a beer. Might return to try that French onion soup.

We recently visited Wood N Tap with my family, and it was a particularly memorable experience as it marked my daughter's first visit. From the moment we walked in, she agreed that she was struck by the warm and inviting interior. The woodwork throughout the restaurant is beautifully done and creates a cozy yet refined atmosphere, something my daughter immediately noticed and appreciated as well. She said the place made her happy. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, parking was still available--even after circling the lot a couple of times--which was a pleasant surprise given how packed the place was. We were seated comfortably in a booth, and our server, Michael, truly set the tone for the evening. He was exceptionally attentive and patient, especially as we took our time deciding on both drinks and food. Michael was also very knowledgeable and answered several questions regarding the limited-time winter menu options. Throughout our visit, we genuinely felt well taken care of by him and have absolutely no complaints about the service he provided. Our food selections did not disappoint. The large bison burger was cooked perfectly to order--juicy, flavorful, and surprisingly clean to eat. It had shredded lettuce, cheese and the bun was nice and toasty while still being soft inside. The fried onions was a great touch and immediately recognized. The person who ordered it especially appreciated that it was not greasy and lacked excess fat, making it both satisfying and well-balanced. The adobo chicken taco bowl was a standout and an instant hit with my daughter. This was a plus for this visit as she has a hard time picking her meals. She has gluten allergy and is bored to death with other choices she has all the time. I have to say Wood-n-Tap has a great gluten free menu. She loved the depth of flavor with the chicken pieces, and the chipotle aioli was a highlight; the addition of fresh lime elevated the dish and, in her opinion, was both perfect and necessary. I opted for the buffalo wrap, which was a solid choice overall. While I did wish the chicken had been a bit warmer, it was still tasty and nicely crunchy. The blue cheese crumbles added great value to the wrap and complemented the flavors well. I paired it with sweet potato fries, which were excellent, though I did find the upcharge for substituting them to be higher than what is typical at other restaurants in the area. I thought I was not going to eat much or anything at all since I had a late lunch, but after tasting the great flavors on the wrap I kept eating very happily. While this visit was very enjoyable, I would like to note a recurring concern regarding the bar area, where I usually sit when visiting with friends or my sister. Service at the bar has been inconsistent over time. Out of approximately eight visits, only two bartenders--Amanda and a gentleman in his 40s with tattoos--have consistently been attentive and welcoming, not only to us but to others seated nearby. Unfortunately, I have had friends mentioned that they have walked out after waiting too long at the bar without being acknowledged or offered drinks. I sincerely hope management will take note of this, as it can significantly impact the overall experience; and I don't want that to happen to this place. That said, Wood N Tap remains a place I genuinely like and want to see continue to thrive. With its inviting atmosphere, strong food offerings, and excellent service when it's done right, a bit more consistency--particularly at the bar; could truly elevate the experience across the board.

I have been in a few times and really enjoy their happy hour. It's very nice that they have 3-6 and 8:27 to close for happy hour. The espresso martinis are great, the staff is nice but if it's busy sometimes service can be slow. The apps are great and I enjoy their food. It's a great spot to go with family there are so many food options. They did a great job with the decor, and it's so nice they have outdoor seating in the summer.

The place looked absolutely perfect, the server was OK, didn't seem to ambitious, we ordered the nachos with chicken app(was amazing and plenty of it), and I got the dirty chicken sandwich which was not so great(the piece if chicken was like a 1/4 inch thick if that) and lacked flavor.....I will go back to see if this was a fluke off day....we shall see then and update accordingly!

Came here for a group work gathering. Parking very easy in the lot. They were nice and able to get big tables for us. The building is actually very nice and has so much natural lighting. It's very nice! The menu has a lot to chose from! I just was getting a small plate would definitely love back to try a bigger meal. I just tried the happy hour spicy tuna crispy rice and a chicken taco. They were both pretty good. Lots to choose from! Service a little slow but that's to be expected with such a large group. I would come back with a smaller group to try some other things on the menu.

While the customer service from our waitress was excellent and much appreciated, unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. The spinach dip lacked seasoning entirely--it had no salt or flavor. I ordered my steak medium, but it was served well done. Both the Brussels sprouts and asparagus were also under-seasoned and bland. Given the overall lack of flavor and attention to preparation, I would not return.

My wife ordered the tomato soup, which she also said was very flavorful. I had the hot and cold lobster roll combo and loved the option to try both styles. The lobster was fresh, generously portioned, and delicious! The cocktails were also outstanding and complemented the meal perfectly. I have struggled with whether to write this review because this has become one of our favorite…read morelocal restaurants over the last year. In fact, one of the reasons we kept coming back was because this was one of the very few local restaurants that I believed truly understood celiac disease and took gluten-free dining seriously. However, as someone with celiac disease, I feel a responsibility to share my experience because what I have encountered goes far beyond a one-time mistake. Several months ago, we ordered takeout and I tested three separate items that were represented as gluten-free: tacos, a wedge salad, and a pop tart dessert. Most was already naturally gluten free. All three tested positive for gluten. These tests are not cheap, costing approximately $12 each, so this was not something I did lightly. I contacted the restaurant and spoke directly with the head chef. She was professional, understanding, and seemed genuinely concerned. She thanked me for bringing it to her attention and even mentioned that she planned to order a test herself because she could not understand how those items would contain gluten. Because of that conversation, I chose not to leave a review. I genuinely believed the issue would be investigated and corrected, and I wanted to give the restaurant the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, a later visit resulted in a positive gluten test on the smoked fish appetizer. Most recently, I returned again and tested several items. The calamari tested negative, but my gluten-free tacos once again tested positive for gluten. At this point, I have simply been glutened one too many times by a restaurant that I genuinely wanted to trust. What makes this especially difficult is that this restaurant presents itself as understanding celiac disease. I was told that members of the restaurant's family, including a daughter, have celiac disease. Hearing that gave me confidence that gluten-free orders would be taken seriously and that proper precautions would be in place. That is what makes these repeated positive gluten tests so confusing and disappointing. When a restaurant claims to understand celiac disease, I expect more than simply offering gluten-free menu items. I expect systems that actually prevent gluten contamination. After multiple positive gluten tests across multiple visits and after bringing my concerns directly to management months ago, it is difficult for me to reconcile those claims with my actual experiences. During my most recent visit, the waitress was kind and helpful, and I appreciate the way she handled the situation. However, I was told that a manager would come speak with me, and no manager ever did. My tacos were removed because they tested positive for gluten, yet I was still charged for them after deciding to take them home (for my non celiac hubby) rather than have them thrown away. In the end, I received a discount, but only after spending nearly $50 on gluten tests during that visit alone. As I write this, I am sitting here sad, frustrated, and in pain, knowing exactly what the next couple of weeks are likely going to look like for me. People often do not see what happens after someone with celiac disease is exposed to gluten. We do not go into anaphylaxis in the restaurant. We go home and suffer through the consequences alone. The symptoms may not be immediately visible to others, but the physical toll is very real. Every restaurant can make a mistake. My concern is not a single mistake. My concern is a repeated pattern over multiple visits, over several months, after the issue was brought directly to the restaurant's attention. I truly wanted to continue supporting this restaurant. I truly wanted to be able to recommend it to others in the celiac community. Unfortunately, after repeated positive gluten tests, repeated gluten exposures, and no evidence that the underlying problem has been corrected, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease or anyone who requires a truly gluten-free meal for medical reasons.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the main strip of Bank Street is this Haitian/Caribbean themed restaurant. There's no private parking, but there's usually some street parking available. But once inside the decor is kept light, creating a vary open and spacious feeling. There's a flower wall of course with some neon signs and stuff. But if you continue all the way through the restaurant you can go right out the back onto their patio which faces the water! It's such a beautiful vibe out there. However, the Amtrak train runs along the water as well and every so many minutes you may get a blast from the train's horn. Lol. But the atmosphere is lively with good music, but certainly not loud. Service: Majin (sp) and her husband (the owners) are almost always present. You can find them in the kitchen, behind the bar or out front talking to guests. They're so friendly, personable and welcoming. KP is the bartender with such a bright and bubbly personality! Food/Drinks: I've been here about 3 to 4 times and have had so many things here. You can't go wrong with the corn ribs, conch chowder, any flavor of wings or the brunch tostadas! Value: Nothing too crazy. Not expensive, but not cheap. You do get your money's worth, I can tell you that! In conclusion, I'll keep on coming here. I love the atmosphere, location and of course the food! Check this place out if you're in the area!

We tried the spring rolls; tuna tacos and Shrimp Himmapan. For dessert we had the Pistachios ricotta cake. The description given by the waitress was not correct but it was good.
