Im furious!!! I was getting allergy shots for at least a year....twice a week...which really helped my allergies!! they were moving location to San Gabriel...and I believe they moved the last week of May. I had my last shot in May of 2026. They told me they would order my new solurtion and i had to buy a box of epinephrine that cost $50 and was to bring it everytime i got my shots in the future. Fine...i waited and waited and waited??? i called twice...and the first time well after a month later and asked when could i get my shots again. she told me when the get the new mixture that they would call me. i was upset because i was to wait at least a month for them to get the mixture for my shot and now it's well after that! i asked if i should be looking for another doctor and miss witch was very sarcastic and told me if that's what i wanted to do...do it! I called one more time after that and did have a nice sympathetic person tell me...she just doesn't know when mixture would arrive. it's now july 17th and they NEVER CALLED BACK TO INFORM ME OF ANYTHING!!! to that little bitch that answered the phone....I wanted to add to the review that i just posted...yes it's a big deal to just ignore my questions about following up with my shots....moron that answered my call ...i had xrays and blood tests before i was able to get my allergy shots!!!! and yes...to get dumpled like that with no information...makes me furnious!!!! irene fernandez read more

Dr Wong reminds me of Mr. Rogers. He's got an amazing staff his main receptionist is incredibly kind wish I could remember her name but if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have made it through the testing. The rest of the staff were amazing and kind as well Brian and Francine are unbelievably supportive pleasant and kind as well as gentle handed . Allergy Dr and staff of my year . Plus his office seats are cool decor is modern yet in no way tacky or gaudy. read more

Don't come this place. Expect wait time at least 2 to 3 hrs to see the doctor. The reception they have been working there for a long time and still have no idea how to schedule patients. read more

Been coming here for over a year now to treat my allergies and it has been a great experience. Not only is Dr. Wong a wonderful and caring doctor but his team is also very caring and understanding. They are very inclusive here and have multiple employees that are bilingual, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, and Vietnamese are just some I know they speak! As someone that came in with severe allergies and asthma that was left untreated, Dr. Wong was able to help me figure out what I need to be doing to manage them. I also got an allergy test done here, which no surprise I'm allergic to almost everything. So I am currently taking allergy shots on a weekly basis but will slow down the shots eventually. All the employees I see are very friendly and more than willing to help! Brian has been here for awhile and is really such a nice guy! I definitely recommend to friends to come here and get a allergy test to figure out what they are allergic to! It has truly changed my life coming here! read more

Frankly I don't know how good Dr. Wong is! The receptionist is sooooo rude we decided to go for another doctor! I really doubtful for Dr. Wong's ability cause he can't even manage her staff well! read more

My 2 sons have been going to Dr. Wong since their birth to treat Asthma. They are now 45 & 46 years old with their own kids. While they have outgrown the disease, I was diagnosed with allergies & Asthma when I turned 30yrs old. I have been treated by Dr Wong for 40 years now & found him a great physician, caring, patient & competent. Never had any billing problems with this firm. I recommend this office without hesitation! Thank you Dr Wong for all the years of caring for me & my family! read more

Dr. Wong is a trustworthy and caring doctor and I really like that he really takes the time with each patient. If you're just going to see Dr. Wong- great. However, I would not recommend this place if you want to get allergy shots because I do not believe their protocols sufficiently advocate for patient safety and like another reviewer mentioned, their billing practices are predatory and scammy. -Instance 1: to get allergy shots, they required an upfront full payment ($300+) for the serums instead of billing the insurance, which I've never experienced. I knew at this time that my insurance would cover 80% and I would be responsible for 20%; the front desk assured me that I would be refunded the 80% once they receive the payment from my insurance. However, it seems they forgot about it. When I brought it up a year later, they refunded me less than $100 which is way less than they got paid from my insurance. Moreover, if I had never brought it up, they would have just pocketed the double payment. -Instance 2: I received a collection notice for over $200 for a certain date. First, I would have appreciated it if they attempted to reach me by any means (phone, email, or letter) before sending it to collection but it was not done. When I reviewed the EOB of the date the collection notice was regarding, the balance due less than $30 and was already paid for. When sending this to the collection agency, they returned the account to Dr. Wong's office. I have no idea where they're coming up with these bills for services not rendered, but for patients who automatically just pay without further investigating bills, they would fall victim to these tactics. Moreover, I stopped coming here for shots because I felt unsafe. At my previous institution before I moved, if you had an anaphylactic reaction, the doctor would evaluate and likely change the concentration goals or dilution schedule. Here, they just continue to give you the same dose unless you have no reaction and then they just continue going up until you get another anaphylactic reaction. Redness or other indications do not warrant a review regarding next time's shot concentration. Again, I do appreciate Dr. Wong as a provider but I do believe there are better institutions with procedures in place that value patient safety and practice honest billing. read more

When I used to live in the San Gabriel Valley, I would come to Dr. Stephen Wong for my allergy issues. FYI, the business is actually called the Adult & Child Allergy & Asthma Clinic. Dr. Stephen Wong thankfully speaks English well and was able to address my allergy needs. He is very thorough and gives you lots of samples to cut down costs for you. My only issue for this place (-2 Stars) is that this place gets incredibly busy. Even with an appointment, expect at least a 20 min wait. If you come here, allow for 2 hours for wait time and the actual appointment. Also, Dr. Stephen Wong has another office in Hacienda Heights? so he only comes here a couple times a week. read more

I was referred to Dr. Wong by my primary dr. at the time and I can say he is one of the best I have encountered. He truly cares about his patients and wants to help them resolve or determine the root of their issue. Yes, the wait can often be long, but I think that speaks to the level of care. Would you rather go to a dr. that has no patients? He takes the time to help you understand what the issue may be and genuinely wants to help. If only all dr's all cared as much as he did, maybe we'd have a lot better standard of care in our health system. read more

Visited this place for allergy last year and decided to not through with the treatment. Paid the copay upon visit. Then I continue getting invoice from this office even after 1 year. Dr Stephen Wong needs to get his accounting together and stop bothering patients. Place looks unprofessional and only care about getting your money. read more

First time visit this clinic, staffs are not friendly and rude. An appointment made weeks ago, and the front desk receptionist said because we are short staff today so what you want to be performed today can't not been done. They are not care for their patient. This review is for the OFFICE RECEPTIONIST: I called to day to ask a few questions regarding pricing on consultation and possible test pricing. She didn't sound knowledgeable on anything I asked. Her customer service was poor and unexceptable. She sounded like she didn't really want to answer my questions and was avoiding any type of work that she had to do, which was to answer my questions. I don't think I'll be coming here. There are other doctors in the area that I can go to. Why subject myslef to bad customer service. I really hope Dr Wong reads this and address the problem. read more

Had adult-onset allergies. Dr. Wong has always been honest, straight-up with my options and knew I didn't have insurance at the time when I didn't. Now I do, and he's the same doctor, caring, honest and knowledgeable...did I say that already. Nevertheless, he's good, fast at diagnosing, and prescribing is a breeze...:) read more

Wong Stephen C, MD - Clean... - Internal Medicine Near Me - Alhambra, California

Dr. Stephen C. Wong is the Best Damn ALLERGIST & MD Hands Down, ANYWHERE! I Absolutely Trust Him with My Life! I'm not kidding! I believe that I've been seeing Him since 1995 and He hasn't failed Me Yet. He's been there when I thought I had Flu issues and He said I had Allergies, I had pnuemonia in 2002 and He saw me through when I had No Insurance, I was diagnosed in 2017 with HBP and started to have anxiety since and He asked all the RIGHT QUESTIONS and prescribed Blood Tests & referred Me to another Specialist to be sure. Things that my Primary MD she Cardiologist failed to ask or address. Go figure? I Love this Doctor! read more

He's been my children's allergist for many years. The thing that I appreciate abt Dr. Stephen Wong is his willingness to treat each patient with lots of patient, care, and kindness. We receive tons of samples to help u cut down the cost of medicine. His staff is very helpful and courteous. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I gave it a four star with minus one bc of the horrendous wait time. That's the only problem. Plan on at least a two hour window time with Dr. Wong but it's really worth the wait! He gives you his full undivided attention and doesn't rush you through your appt with him. He treats and takes care of each of his patient like he's treating his own family member! Detail care and plenty of patience. read more

Dr. Wong is very nice and really took the time to explain my allergies and alternative remedies for me. I started going to him in May. They were able to see me right away which was amazing. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. read more

All the PEOPLE who work here are the best. The problem is, they will never tell you that you may want to consider THAT THE ALLERGY SHOTS ARE NOT WORKING. So they tell you to keep coming. So you do it. And then one day, you realize that they are not going to give you any more guidance. The doctor simply says let's keep trying. So the years go by. And so do the Saturdays. So do the birthday parties you missed. So do the weddings. The baseball games. You can plan on losing 2-4 hours of your day getting allergy shots with drive time and the waiting before and after the shots. Gradually, a little voice was telling me that I am wasting my valuable time on the weekends with the allergy shots. So, I decided to stop. They warned me stopping could bring more problems. Well, I waited a week, 2 weeks, months and then years later. And there was absolutely no change in sensitivity better or worse. All I can explain is that allergy shots don't work for everyone. It was painfully obvious that they didn't work for me. This office should have - at some point - maybe at year number 4 or 5 - should have discussed with the patient (me) to consider STOPPING the allergy shots since they were never able to increase the percentage strengths of the shots. But, it's the doctor's revenue stream and they would rather you continue bringing them your money and the insurance money. I never heard them suggest I should think about stopping the shots. The shot's did nothing. My allergy reactions were just as strong before the treatments as during he treatments. After 10 years of Saturdays wasted - (that's right - TEN years - not a typo error) I decided to stop the allergy shots altogether. Well, it's been about 5 years since my last set of allergy shots and walked away from this office and I'd like to say I'm exactly the same. With the advent of Yelp, I wanted to take the time today to plug this operation about service in the past...since there wasn't any forum to do this before. No change for the better or worse. There was absolutely no benefit to the shots. But the office sure made a ton of money and I gave up 520 Saturdays in following the doctors requests. If you are not getting anywhere with the shots, please consider stopping and just avoid your triggers. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Wong for almost my entire adult life. I am an adult-onset asthma patient. I was diagnosed with asthma for the first time as a young adult, and went to the nearest specialist, who was close to retirement. In preparation for his retirement, he took on young Dr. Wong as a partner, and upon retirement, turned the practice over to him. Thus Dr. Wong has my entire history - that started by his predecessor, and that continued by himself. He knows me by name. He remembers details of my condition and treatment without looking it up in his charts. He spends considerable time asking me of current conditions and providing explanations. I cannot imagine better care. I agree with many reviewers that the wait time can be ridiculous. Yet I'm not marking down any stars for it because, like some of these reviewers say, it's worth the wait. It's because he's giving the same detailed care to other patients. And there are a lot of other patients. Presumably they keep coming back for the same reasons that I do. I guess you could criticize that he just accepts too many patients for how much time he has. But I think that, too, is because he doesn't want to turn them away. I almost never have asthma attacks any more, because I'm on preventative drugs that work extremely well for me. I can remember years ago, before these drugs were available, going to his office during an attack. It so happened to be time for them to close for lunch - but he took me anyway, saying that he couldn't eat lunch knowing a patient was there, and in trouble. I think that says it all. read more

I am quite happy with the care I have received from Dr. Wong. He is quite friendly and explains things well. Wait time is ridiculous. I had an appointment at 10:30 so that I could still enjoy the rest of my day off, but going on 11:30 and still haven't been taken in. I first paid a visit to dr. Wong's office Sept 2014. First visit they made her blow into a cardboard tube 5.00 was charged each time and I was not notify that there was an additional charge each time this was done. Until 4 months later U receive a bill for all these services that was done. I probably saw this doctors a total of 4 times. Each time you go there is a different useless test that was done with additional charge that was not disclosed to you. And the wait each time from start to Finish was two hrs long. Ultimately he did not cure my daughter of her cough supposedly it was allergies. read more

Dr. Wong is very knowledgable about his stuff. Both my kids and I are patients of his and I have been getting allergy shots here for 2 years. Most of the girls that work here are really sweet. When you need to see Dr. Wong, he spends a lot if time with you and answers all questions you have. He is very caring and straightforward. The only reason why I can't give 5 stars is because sometimes it usually takes 1-2 hrs of waiting before he comes into your exam room. Book the first appointment in the morning or afternoon if you can. read more

I have been seeing Dr Wong for almost 20 years. I was suffering from asthma and constant sinus infections that proved to be allergy-related, and over the course of about 5 years of treatment (incl allergy shots) with Dr Wong, improved to the point of being relatively symptom-free. I now see him primarily for check-ups. Dr. Wong always takes plenty of time with me, asks lots of questions, is not afraid to try new treatments to get the best possible outcome, and really cares about his patients. He is calm, smart, kind, with a great sense of humor. Out of the multitude of doctors I've seen, Dr Wong is probably the best! He seems to have very little turnover with his staff, as many of them have been there as long as I've been going. They are all very sweet and helpful. My one complaint is that the office can get very busy and the wait times long, but that has improved significantly (and I've learned the best times to go). And it's often because Dr Wong insists on spending as much time as necessary with each patient - which is a good thing! Finally, the staff that handles health insurance claims for Dr Wong's patients is outstanding. I've had some complicated insurance issues over the years and they have been incredibly helpful and efficient in working with insurance companies and processing claims on my behalf. read more

I've been an allergy/asthma patient of Dr. Wong for many years. At the time that I began going to him, I was working near his office, so it was convenient. Now, though, I'm retired. However, having him as my physician is worth the drive. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to his patients. He takes the time necessary to listen to them, which is very important. Having a doctor who rushes you is not a plus for your health. Yes; it usually takes at least an hour after arrival to finish your appointment, but it is worth's one health to wait for an efficient, attentive physician, which Dr. Wong is. If you are ill and call the office for counsel, he will return your call either at day's end or the next morning. His staff is wonderful! I did read the review about arriving late for an allergy shot. That happened to me once on a Saturday after I'd driven through the worst traffic ever, causing my drive to take twice as long. I was very frustrated but also understood how risky it is for staff to make exceptions to the cut-off time. They'd never have a cut-off time. I just chalked it up to experience and made it a point never to drive there again on a Saturday. read more
