I saw Dr. Wong two years ago around this time right after my cancer diagnosis. However, I was forced to re-establish physician-patient relationship with him when I was trying to reach him to get an urgent consult on some hematology related issues. He never replied my online message although PAMF's policy says all online messages will be replied in 48 hours. When I called his office, his staff required me to be booked in as a new patient and refused to fit me in within the sensitive timeframe. And I couldn't get seen by any hematologist in time. Because I couldn't get the professional opinion from a hematologist, I was given the wrong dose of medication and have been suffering months of awful symptoms. Moreover, I am now 3-month pregnant and the condition resulting from the improper infusion unsupervised by any hematologist has put my already high-risk pregnancy at an even higher risk. All of this could have easily been changed if only he followed PAMF online messaging policy, and spent several minutes reviewing a few labs, calculating the med dosage, and replying a simple online message inquiry.
When I was referred to him, I was told by another PAMF doctor that, he would be her go-to person if I were her family. So I guess that he must be pretty good at what he does. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to comment on his professional competency as he never really treated me for anything - I never needed a chemo from him and was left in the limbo by him when I needed his advice most.
I hope that someday he will have a bigger and more generous heart. I hope that he and his staff who refused to help me when I needed them will at least pray for my baby when they read this review... And I wish all of his patients best of luck and full recovery. read more
