I'm super disappointed today. I got my nails done from here like I normally do. I had a different guy do my nails today and they are horrible. I was cut multiple time when he was filing them. Then he kept putting pressure on the exact area he accidentally cut. I mentioned that he cut me on three different fingers and didn't even acknowledge the fact that he cut my fingers and I paid 50$ for them to legit cut my fingers. I'm really upset and kind of pissed off at this point. Didn't even apologize for cutting my f read more

The guy who did my nails. I believe his name was Kenny. I showed him the nail color I wanted from a picture and was having trouble finding them he just sat with his arms crossed and looked at me he didn't offer to help pick out my nails. He was rushing me for sure and was more worried about eating then providing me good customer service. Terrible service but he did an ok job with my nails. Only going back if I can go to David or his wife who are the managers. read more

Kenny did a terrible job and was very rude! My nails are lumpy and poorly shaped. He didn't clean them after he finished doing them. His finish product was horrible!!!!!! I had to ask for lotion at the end and put it on myself. I still gave him a tip and I shouldn't have. He deserved nothing!!! However, I did show management his poor job and she attempted to fix the horrific the job. They look somewhat better. read more

NEW MANAGEMENT! I have been a LOYAL customer of David (last 3 years) and his wife, Natalie (last couple moths). *tangent* they worked at different locations. But i am so excited that they went into business together, it was a long time coming. Both of them stay booked so you have to call and book in advance but i promise you it will be worth the wait. *as you can see, I have followed them to their new shop* If you are unable to book with one, then book with the other. They both know how to shape like no other and I trust them to make nail decisions without me asking. A bonus is they can hold a conversation, if you like to talk to your nail tech ! read more

today I was charged $87 not including tip & I am beyond annoyed! I asked for a milk & honey pedicure, & needed ONE gel acrylic toe added. once my service was completed, as she rang me up I was confused by the pricing but had already given the lady her tip. I asked the cashier if she could click back to the price breakdown, she refused & said, " I'll let you know" & proceeds to tell me the breakdown verbally. I am not a confrontational person so I just went ahead & paid. once looking at the receipt, I noticed she rang me up for the wrong pedicure so I went back into the shop. She tells me that the lady told HER that I asked for the deluxe, the same lady I had just tipped. I confirmed, "So even though I ASKED for this, she did something else & thats on me?" the cashier gives me a nasty attitude about how there was only a $5 difference in the price so i told her that thats not the point, I was given the milk & honey so charge me for that! not a more deluxe service that I did not receive nor ask for. once I left the store, at further glance I noticed that they charged me $30 for TWO acrylic toes when she only provided the service for 1. I noticed this 10 minutes into my ride home so I did not turn around to go back. Even if I hadn't already left, I still wouldn't feel comfortable going back to deal with her nasty attitude. All In all, I will never go back to this nail shop, they're very sneaky if you don't pay attention and will take advantage of you. I wish that I could dispute the payment with my bank but since I have no proof of how I walked into the shop, it probably wouldn't work. read more

Came here to get my nail done last week. I am the kind of person who knows what I want for my nails and I think because of this, the owner who did my nails was MAKING MY NAIL LOOK BAD ON PURPOSE because I am not the type of customers that he wants in his salon, very discriminate. read more

This is usually my go to place for getting my eyebrows done. I went today and I could tell the woman doing my eyebrows was in a rush. She didn't take the time to pluck them or trim them at all. I could tell she just wanted me in and out of there as quick as possible. I'm really disappointed as this is my favorite place to typically go. read more

I've been going to David since his Anthony Vince days, but Saturday I was treated with the utmost disrespect. David's mom is so disgustingly rude. I had an appointment at 12 & waited a whole hour, only for her to tell me I don't do nails so I don't know how long. Then proceeds to tell me to come back tomorrow, I kindly explained that I don't live close by & it would be an inconvenience, she then says to me then leave. I said that I've been coming to David since 2016, she says ok then BYE. I cannot express how upset I was, I've never had to deal with that type of rudeness from a place of business. She will eventually lose David's loyal clients if she continues this way. I will NEVER go back there EVER again. read more

Edward is the best. He is super creative and comes up with the best designs. He's also quick!!!! The receptionist is pretty rude and hangs up without saying goodbye or while you're still talking. Other than her, this salon is great! The nail techs are trendy and professional. They also have a large inventory to do unique looks. It's also very clean! read more

I came in about 45 minutes before closing and they took my sister and I for a manicure and a full set. I ended up loving my nails! My tech Sophia was personable and sweet! They had a decent color selection and I would come back again, just maybe a little earlier. They kind of rushed me when the time to close hit. It wasn't even my tech, but I think maybe the owner..? It was just a little annoying because I can't pay when both of my hands are occupied. And I specifically asked them if they could take us.. so I felt like I shouldn't have been rushed the way I feel like I was. But overall I was happy with my service nonetheless. UPDATE: I look at my bank charge and they charged me $70 for the full set and manicure! She said mine would specifically be $40 and that's after I chose the color and my sisters manicure was supposed to be $13. So where did the extra money come from? Very upset about this and I feel lied to, I was happy until I saw the charge. Dishonest and I will NOT be returning. read more

I'm not sure of the name of the man who did my Mango Spa Pedicure, but I also had Pink & White Acrylics done and those were done by a man named Lucky. The Mango Spa Pedicure is amazing! Relieved the tension in my tootsies and my feet are super soft now! Pretty pedi done by an unknown named man. My Acrylics are gorgeous! Thank you Lucky, it was like watching an artist working and I love my nails. Went with two others for a fabulous girls day out. I know all three of us walked out pleased with our nails. Would have given 5 stars but the chair massage wasn't working well. But nails are amazing! read more

I had my first appointment with David yesterday and I will definitely be back! This salon is under new management now by David and his wife Natalie. I've been getting gel manicures for the past 2 years now and don't get me wrong...I love gel but after looking at his work.....I decided to give a full set a try! He's funny, fast and does really amazing work, I'm happy he's in this area now. I already booked my next appointment because he fills up pretty fast! Not sure of the quality of their work but was told it would be 10 minutes for a pedicure. Called me back to the chair within that time but still no one came after about 30 minutes. David's mother is rude af and she not be the first face you see entering . Always a mug or unpleasant look on her face . Her attitude drives loyal customers AWAY . I'm still trying to understand how is David no longer servicing HIS clients yet you won't allow anyone else to service them ?! You have me drive all the way to the shop b|c you have someone available , just to be turn away when you see me . And again RUDE AF . I've never heard of a business tell you to go somewhere else ? I just got home from Wonder Nails this evening and thought I'd right this review to maybe help someone in the future. I had been to Wonder Nails once before about 5 years ago. I had a simple manicure, which was mediocre at best. The worst part about it was that the technician was hurriedly trimming my cuticles and snipped me with the cutters, which of course bled profusely. I said I would never go back. Well, out of convenience and thinking that would probably never happen again, I went back. I happened to be at the mall tonight and badly needed a simple manicure (no polish), so I stopped in. BAD MISTAKE!! Only this time I was gouged with the cuticle clippers and 4 of my cuticles are bleeding. The nail trim and filing were horrible. I had to come home and file my nails over again. None of them were even uniformly cut. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!! read more

This was my first time coming here so I wasn't very sure what to expect. The turn around seemed quick, there were PLENTY of nail techs available and it was a very clean place. I was a bit nervous at first because the design I wanted was a bit different but the beautiful lady who did my nails did an OUTSTANDING job. Exceeded my expectations. These are probably the best nails I've ever had and not very expensive either and very quick as well. 10/10 will recommend to everyone I know and come here in 2 weeks for another fill! I just wish I knew the lady's name so I could credit her and go to her every time! read more

Wonder Nails - Beetlejuice inspired nails! I got a fill, nail fix and a little design for $35 - Nail Salons Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

recently went with my friend to get our nails done for a girls day. we received poor customer service and quick services. nail techs did not even massage during our manicure or pedicure and the gel on my nails started chipping within two days of service. we called to get our nails fixed and owner said we would have to pay full price if we went to a different nail tech (the original nail tech was not working). I spent $85 for this service and tipped even though the service was terrible. I will not be returning to this nail shop. do not waste your money here read more

The lady at the the front is VERY RUDE! I went in Wonder Nails tonight and ask the lady at the front desk do they do dip or s & s (depending on where you go they call it different names) and she hunched her shoulders, said she didn't know and walked away that didn't tell me anything being that she worked there I would think she knows what services are offered. I've been there before and she's not the nicest person to deal with. But I waited for a few minutes she walked to the back never saying wait, let me check, or anything so I left. It's way too many nail salon to have to deal with attitude. My money will definitely not break the bank but word of mouth is everything. If she reads this review and understands being nasty towards people is not cool, and How people treat other people is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves. When people are mean it's a personal choice, it's a conscious decision to stop caring about other people's feelings. When you're a business owner you can't afford to be mean and nasty towards people but you don't have to worry about me coming back to Wonder Nails again the lady at the front has ruined it for me. I loved Edward I heard he has his own Nail Salon "GOOD FOR HIM" I'll go to him since my daughter goes to him. Like I said earlier it's way too many nail salon's too deal with nasty attitudes. read more

I am sooooo disappointed I just left this location and wanted lashes for some events this weekend. I told the lash tech ahead of time I have extremely watery eyes!! I have been other places and that was not a problem. I left and by the time I got four stores away to pick up some other items I had a gap in my left side. I went back they fixed but when I left the store and by the time I got home half the lash was not secure at all and irritating my eye so I had to remove. I also tugged gently at the right side they came off easier than strips. I WASTED $30 and needless to say I will NOT be going back to Wonder Nails at the Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake , VA !!! read more

The worst ever. Not only did they lie to me but once I had an issue with my nails they rushed me out of the shop, it's only been four days since I've got them done and already I need a fill-in, the owner promised to fix my nails but when I came in to get them fixed she said no, I took too long (I do work a full time job). When I first got them done, they were thin, lumpy, was not the length that I asked for and still had to pay extra, they are all different sizes in length, my nail polish you can see right through it. I was more upset that they were lumpy and thin because I knew they weren't gonna last more than a week and I didn't know when I would have time to come back in and get them done, I asked them to go ahead and fix it then but they refuse, they wouldn't even give me a discount. I'm very disappointed in their service and quality of service for what I had to pay, they do have some talented Nail Techs in there but with the service I received I wouldn't go back. read more

I find that many of the nail salons that have been around awhile still have a classic way about doing nails. But the times are changing. I'm not a fan of classic art and when I get my nails done I want to be modern. I'm looking for a place that is cutting edge and on the latest and greatest of everything nail. Classic may be fine for my mom but not for me. I went here knowing that I would just be getting the basics and if the basics is all you want then this place is clean, convenient, and comfortable. It has beautiful updated decor the staff is friendly enough and if there is a wait they will call u when ur time is nearing while u walk around the mall. Johnny did my fill. Rose did my Bling nails. They ended up charging me $10 for each nail. (Avg) I won't be a regular here but if I ever need to drop in for a full then this is a good go to. read more

This place seems to depend on who does your manicure. The first time I went I had a previous gel mani that needed removal before getting a new one. The woman who did my manicure did a wonderful job shaping my nails before redoing the gel polish. That manicure lasted me 12 days. The second time I went, this past Saturday, the removal didn't go as well. The technician didn't even get all the residue from the previous manicure off of my nails before redoing them. The manicure started to lift on two nails as soon as I was home a few hours later. I'll be returning to see if it can be remedied. I may change my rating if all goes well. Update: my gel manicure was fixed at no extra charge! read more

I highly recommend this nail salon! Not only did my shellac french manicure turn our wonderful so did my eyebrows. Every time I've gone to other places to get my eyebrows done i always need to use pencil because they take off the ends of my eyebrows (making it look like i have half of a eyebrow on one eye) but not here. My eyebrows turned out AMAZING! Had I known it would've been so good I would've gotten a pedicure as well, but I plan on doing that when I return in a few weeks. My only issue was that while I was getting my nails done there was noticeable (although in a different language) talk about another customer from one of the workers. It seemed as though to be a tipping issue as they kept looking at the receipts for services and then the money she gave them, along with looking and the occasional trying-to-be-subtle-but-it-wasn't-really point/stare. Personally, I think that was unprofessional to do in front of another customer but as I said I don't really know the issue, so I won't remove any stars for it. Overall, if you're looking for a quality place to get your nails (and/or eyebrows!) done, this is it! :) read more

Never going here again. Came in for a polish change, which their prices say costs $7.00. They charged me $25.00. I asked why, she said that it was because they had to take my polish off first. My nails also stayed in great standing for over 3 weeks! The second time around, wasn't so pleased. Ross did my nails on Valentines Day. She rushed through them, nails were uneven, and to top it off, literally TWO days later, my gel overlay that she did started coming off and lifting on just about every nail! So unpleased.
