I'm no pedicure expert by any means but this is a vey nice treatment. The one thing that stood out was how clean every thing was. The tools appeared to have been sterilized and the foot basins were immaculate. The staff seems very knowledgeable and took extra time with my rough areas. They offer wine, water, and 3 types of beer as part of the treatment. All in all I think this was a great value. I was made to feel relaxed and my feet look and feel amazing. They have a pre-stage Zen waiting room were you await your service. Nice touch.

It's time for an update I suppose since my first review was only for hair and in the last year I've had nails, massages, hair, etc. done at Natural Elements. I joined as a member and pay $59 a month for either a hair treatment or massage. I'm here so often that it's not a problem using my monthly membership item because I'm always getting nails and massages (monthly) and I have my hair done every 2-3 months. I know most of the gals up front by now and they're very friendly and helpful. Seems like I always have some sort of conflict with my schedule and they're always very willing to move something around and help me make things work. They have a referral program so you can get some points on your account if you recommend someone who keeps coming back to them. I've sent about 3 people and probably gotten something like $70 or so total in the last year. Which is nice. Katie K, as I mentioned in my last review, has been doing my hair for over 7 years and I've followed her all around Hampton Roads. She's great. Very friendly and personable with a ton of talent and an eye for detail. She knows my likes and dislikes well enough now that I trust her to help me make good choices and I listen to her opinion about my hair far more than any other stylist. She has a lot of experience and is good at what she does. We've added color to my hair, cut it short, grown it out, etc. We'll be doing Wedding updo trials next month for my upcoming wedding and I can't wait! Crystal F always does my nails. She's fantastic. Not only do I get along with her well (which is nice since we spend about 3+ hours together every few weeks) but she's amazing at freehand art on your nails. I usually only do French tips and she's fantastic at drawing the lines - but she's also done some paw prints for JMU's homecoming, some Christmas trees at Xmas time, and a few other fun things. We also experimented with glitter for wedding nails but I think I'll stick to French tips.... still, it was fun to experiment with her. I've had a bit more trouble nailing someone down for massage. I'd had about 3-4 different folks from here give me a massage and none of them have been anything special. I tend to have a lot of stress in my back and they just can't seem to really get in there and work it out the way I want. I'm less concerned with the whole body massage and simply want more attention paid to my back. I always feel cheated because in an hour massage they'll spend 40 minutes on my legs and arms and only 10 on my back. My back is what hurts! Still, it's good for the circulation and better than nothing, I still hope I'll find "the one" some day. Their trail mix and hot tea in the zen waiting area are nice. The bathroom/locker room area is very nice and they keep a sugar scrub inside for you to use and make your hands nice and soft. The location is great by the Taste in Chesapeake with tons of other little foodie places to stop in. There are plenty of options in the same shopping center or you can easily go just up the street to Greenbrier and surrounding malls and find some food or fun. I'm a fan, I'm glad I found a nice place to consistently get my nails and hair done with people I like and trust.

I called on a Thursday to get a Mani and Pedi appointment for Saturday (memorial day weekend) and as I expected, they were booked. The receptionist was warm and friendly and offered to put my on a waitlist. I didn't expect a call back but got one one Friday. This was my first time at Natural Elements Spa and it was such a great impression. I was greeted as soon as I came in and escorted to a nice relaxing area to fill out my paper work. Kim was so professional and friendly. Not to mention she did a phenomenal job. The dazzling dry nail polish is some sort of magic, I am so impressed. It looks so pretty. Additionally, I am pregnant so not only do smells bother me, it isn't great for me to inhale. I smelled nothing. I will never go to a pop in nail spot again. This will be my new place. Such a pleasant experience. I can't wait to visit again!

My hair was so long and I was beyond annoyed with the length and definitely was in search of a new haircut. I asked my sister-in-law who she and my niece went to, and she referred me to Kayla at Sleek Salon & Spa. I submitted my inquiry on their website that night and that's where all the magic began. The inquiry was late, but I got a call from the salon mid-morning the very next day. The person who called me was so nice and answered my preliminary questions. It turned out that Kayla had availability that same day, so I jumped at the chance. - Kayla - My sister-in-law raved about her, so I was expecting no less. Kayla was super friendly when we met and asked what I had in mind. I also asked her the same out of curiosity lol... "as a hairstylist, what are you dying to do to my hair right now?" We came to an agreement (I wasn't feeling drastic this go around), but she did want to bring my hair back to a more healthy look. What I got: a haircut. She actually cut it twice, because the first time, she cut a few inches off, but I was being a little more daring and decided to cut another few inches off. I had so much hair! Due to my Asian heritage and the way Asian hair tends to behave, she suggested and asked that she reverse the process and cut my hair while it was dry, then wash and them blow dry. That was a great suggestion, because there weren't any surprises and it shows that she knows what she is doing! Result: The proof is in the pictures. I'll leave it at that. I must have lost a good 2 lbs just from the cut. It. feels. so. good. I ended up getting the leave-in conditioner that she used on my hair which was $47. A little steep, but it'll probably last me awhile. Things to note: - AVEDA products for sale only, unless AVEDA does not make a certain product. They have a mix of CBD products. - They are open late for working customers which I thought was very nice. I got an appointment at 7pm. - Stylist price varies according to education and experience. Kayla's haircut starts at $60 depending on texture and length, but my hair is in the middle, not thin and not that thick. I was charged $60, which I was so happy about because have you called around for haircuts these days? Kayla can take my money! - you can get $25 credit for referring new customers! The salon was pretty spacious too, and clean. Just a nice vibe. They don't play super loud music and play the chill vibe tunes, staying true to the word "spa" in their name. It's right next to Momo's Kitchen. They seem to cater to all ages too, because there were kids next to me getting their hair done also. Highly recommend, and enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!

I've worn sew-in extensions for over five years and had a lot of reservations about getting them again -- mostly because of comfort, styling limitations, and having fine/thin hair. But trusting Leilani and her team was the best decision I could have made. They are true artists and absolute masters of their craft. My install looks completely seamless -- no one can tell this isn't my natural hair. It looks thick, full, shiny and healthy. The extensions are so comfortable I can't even feel them, and for the first time ever, I can wear a high ponytail without anything showing (IYKYK!). They've completely reset my expectations for extensions, and I feel excited to keep wearing them long term. & as an added benefit this service included a kit of shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and an extension brush -- everything you need to maintain your investment! If you've been on the fence about extensions or are looking for a team that truly cares about quality, detail, and the health of your hair, I can't recommend Bracha Salon enough.

It was my first time and I did get someone fairly new that style but was looking for. Owner was patient and took her time showing my hair stylist how to cut the style I wanted. I think they washed my hair like 3-4 times; it was quite relaxing. I loved their wash station. It was like laying on a cushioned platform. I've never laid flat for a hair long ash/rinse and I don't think I could go back to the antiquated uncomfortable chairs! I was there for a really long time, but satisfied with the exceptional service I received. Very reasonable prices, too.

I didn't leave an immediate review after my haircut because I wanted to take time and reflect…read morerather than write out of emotion. My hair has since grown back, and with clarity, I feel comfortable sharing my experience. I booked a haircut online for a listed price of $70. During booking, I shared a reference photo and explained in detail that my hair is very long and thick, and that I needed a stylist who would be patient and not rush the service. When I arrived, I re-showed the reference photo and reiterated what I wanted. Once I was in the chair, the stylist explained that she only has one hour per client. Despite this, the appointment felt rushed and disorganized. I know this because my service ran into her next client's scheduled time. That client waited for a period of time and ultimately canceled with her and worked with another stylist in the salon. While the stylist stated she only had one hour per client, my appointment ran well beyond that. My scheduled appointment time was 12:30 PM. I received a text at 11:43 AM asking if I wanted to come in early, and my receipt was sent to me at 2:13 PM. Even accounting for arriving early, this places my appointment at over two hours from start to finish--far longer than the one-hour window that was repeatedly referenced. I specifically asked for layered hair with shorter layers to help with the weight. Instead, I was given long layers, and my hair was thinned out without my consent ( as you can see the bottom portion of my hair is noticeably thin, compared to the top) . I didn't say anything at the time because the thinning had already been done and couldn't realistically be fixed. While my hair is healthy and grows back, the haircut I received was not the haircut I asked for. It wasn't "messed up," but it also wasn't what I requested. At checkout, the stylist leaned over and whispered to the receptionist, after which an additional $25 charge for thick/long hair was added. This charge was not discussed with me directly, despite my hair length and thickness being clearly disclosed before booking. After leaving a Google review outlining these concerns, the owner publicly accused me of never being a client and stated she stood by her stylist, without acknowledging the issues raised. Later that same night, I was contacted directly via text around 10:30 PM asking to "chat." That message was unsolicited and crossed a professional boundary, especially after publicly dismissing my experience. The outreach did not include an apology and felt more focused on protecting the business's image than addressing client concerns. I was polite throughout this entire process and even tipped my stylist. There was no malice on my end--just honest feedback. While my hair did grow back, not everyone is in that position, and an experience like this could be very upsetting for someone struggling with self-image. Ultimately, the lack of communication, consent, and professionalism--both during the service and afterward--is why I would not return and why I'm sharing this experience here for other women
