MacQueen's is a local business that has been around for years and not only do they offer pick your own apples and pumpkins, they have a nice produce selection, jam & jelly room, bakery (nothing better than warm donuts this time of year), cider mill where you can watch the bottling process, and a room full of Christmas decor. Staff is friendly and helpful even when they have a ton of people meandering about. Prices are fair for the quality of product and as I mentioned previously, their warm donuts are a hit! I'm glad we came earlier in the season because there was plenty of fruit to pick from! Why I'm giving this place 3 stars: - There was a hole in the wagon wheel, in my opinion, someone should be keeping up with small maintenance things like that since the season is about to be in full swing. - The older ladies who were working outside made me uncomfortable as I was walking passed an empty booth and were not very friendly about the fact that I didn't know about a blue ticket I was supposed to have (my dad was the one who paid to get the apples and was walking in behind me). I would have been understanding but they were just judgmental and condescending about it. If it's such a big deal someone should be at that booth ready to check tickets if they know people are driving up.... -Donuts were nothing special but they do have A LOT of yummy looking choices -Really good selection of apples but horrible signage. There is a map but you have to take a picture or study it really well or you'll have no idea what you're picking. -If you have a hard time walking, this is probably not the place for you. Overall, there was a super sweet girl working the bakery. There's a corn maze that looks fun and plenty of pumpkins to choose from so it's not my favorite place but I might be back for the maze.

YZ Enterprises is the maker of Almondina - Almond Biscuits…read more Almondina The Original is based on Grandma Dina's original secret recipe that she called Petit Gateau Sec, made with top quality almonds, plump raisins, and a blend of other natural flavors, then cooked to a perfect crispness. This cookie has an almost vanilla flavor to it from the roasted almonds with crunchy texture and raisins for a little sweetness. These were so good and can see why Yuval loved his grandma's cookies so much! Choconut is the Almondina cookie recipe with some of the best chocolate in the world. The chocolate and almond flavors go really well together. It wasn't too sweet, but the subtle natural sweetness comes from the raisins. Sesame is an Almondina cookie with an exotic twist of roasted sesame seeds. The sesame flavor is apparent in the texture and flavor. It reminds me of childhood Asian desserts. Gingerspice is the Almondina cookie with zesty chunks of flavorful real ginger. The sweet, chewy pieces of ginger add an exciting flavor dimension to this crunchy cookie. This also reminded me of my childhood. In the Japanese culture, they make these round ginger cookies, sometimes frosted, with this ginger flavor. Chocolate Cherry is the Almondina cookie with the world's finest dark chocolate and plump cherries. For a guilt-free cookie, it is quite decadent. The flavors will remind you of a Black Forest Cake. The cherry and chocolate flavors work very well together. Cinnaroma® is the Almondina cookie with cinnamon. The sweet scent of cinnamon wafts through the air when you open the package. The cinnamon flavor works well with the original recipe.

My favourite was the Bacon, Egg and Cheese combo on an English muffin. I added a Boston creme stick just to give my Endo doc something to talk about. The coffee was perfectly in line with the blend, mix and timing of Tim's standard. The folks in the drive-through were most friendly. Stephanie told us we were a couple weeks too early for hot apple cider drinks. Our loss. I'm hoping they weren't just giving me lip service and that they really do still carry them. 10/22 BOILER PLATE BACKGROUND STUFF: If you're new to the world of Tim Horton's, Tim's is currently Canada's largest "quick service restaurant chain". The bake shops are Canadian in origin but can be found in about a dozen states in the Eastern/Midwestern U.S. They are also represented in a few foreign countries such as Ireland, The Philippines, Qatar and even China. Yes, they are best known for coffee and donuts but offer quite a bit more. A small selection of breakfast/lunch sandwiches, soups, paninis and wraps. Baked goods include donuts, cookies, muffins and Timbits, their signature bite sized donut holes. STEVEN E. weighs in: It's a matter of apples and oranges with me. Visit a Tim's and you'll understand it's a totally different animal than a krispy creme or a duncan donuts. I review TH locations by comparing them to other TH locations and TH standards.
