Eagle Ridge Bar & Grill - Burger and fries

Visited on a Friday evening around 5:30 PM and unfortunately left with mixed feelings…read more Service: We waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. That said, a younger employee named William stepped up and did his best to help manage what was clearly a chaotic and disorganized situation -- he deserves recognition for that. Food: We kept it simple with burgers and fries. The burger itself was decent, but the pretzel bun was a real miss -- brioche would be a much better choice and would elevate the whole experience. The fries were fine, nothing special. The ranch dressing, however, was genuinely unpleasant -- easily the low point of the meal. Atmosphere: Right around 6:00 PM, a live band started up. For a restaurant setting, that felt far too early -- most venues wait until around 7:30 PM before live music kicks in. The result was that conversations became nearly impossible, customers were shouting to be heard, and servers were struggling to take orders accurately. It added to an already disorganized environment. Worth noting: Fox News was running on the TVs, which may matter to some guests. The Positives: The place was clean, and the golf course is genuinely beautiful and well maintained. However, I did notice some significant trimming of the pine trees -- hopefully they don't continue cutting them up that high, as the natural wooded feel is a big part of the appeal up there. Bottom line: Hard to recommend for dinner. The golf course is the real draw here.

We received our drinks and we gave our order immediately because the place was starting to get busy. The waitress was nice. We waited ample time for our starters (salad, soups) when those arrived so did our main dishes. Our soup was cold. Never were we brought crackers or butter for bread sticks; the food is good but the service has a lot to be desired. Not sure who is at fault for the timing of the meals.

We've been wanting to try this place for some time but they are often full. We got early…read morereservations (parties of 6 or more only) and arrived on time to our table all ready. There are two sides - the bar side and a side with lots of seating. The bar side has seating as well but minimal. We sat on the side with all the seating at a long high top. The chairs had backs so it was very comfortable. They have lots of choices on the menu - I chose the Lemon Herb Ravioli, which sounded light and amazing. Unfortunately, it is swimming in a lemon-y olive oil which ruins the dish completely. If they just drizzled the lemon oil over the pasta, it would be a chef's kiss. I would recommend asking for that on the side - then you can control how much you want on the dish. I also got their "tots" on the side. These aren't your typical tator tots...they are homemade shredded potatoes scooped and fried. My cousin got the same items and when the tots came, it appeared they overly fried one of the orders so just split them up between our two orders. I ate the good ones and my husband sent back the bad ones to have them replaced. They did so without any question, which was nice. My husband had the Gouda Burger with Truffle Fries. He said it was the best burger he'd ever had. The truffle fries were excellent - served with garlic aioli. Highly recommend! So, while my dish was disappointing due to the amount of oil it was swimming in, the pasta and vegees on top tasted good, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and everyone else liked their meals (burgers and fish & chips) so I'm not going to give them a low rating. I'd like to come back and try something different on the menu.
