We have been in Hale on a family vacation and we had Mikey's pizza twice while here. The first night we ordered cheesy bread which was wonderful, a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and a 1/2 Hawaiian and 1/2 pep/mush for mom and dad. We finished it off with their dessert cinnamon sticks which were so delicious. The next time we went we ordered same pizzas only we ordered the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread for their appetizers. They were also very tasty. We ate just about everything! Both nights we went in we were treated so warmly. The staff at Mikey's does an excellent job at customer service. They smiled and were so pleasant. If you are driving through or need a new pizza place to try out, get some Mikey's Pizza, you won't regret it!!

This appears to be a local diner located in the middle of nowhere, at least from my perspective as I was traveling for work and accompanied by a local. I ordered an omelet, which was quite good, while my co-worker had the Big Mac wrap and enjoyed it thoroughly. The waitress was attentive and ensured we were satisfied with our meals. I would definitely recommend this place. There's not much else in the area, so it's worth a visit. read more

The burrito is huge, so make sure to lift with the knees, so you don't strain your back. Inside, there are two scrambled eggs, your choice of meat (I got sausage), and hashbrowns. My wife liked her grilled chicken sandwich. It wasn't huge, but it was filling. And, a huge amount of fries are providing with it. There's a lot to be said for fries that are freshly cut from potato, versus what you get it fast from fast food places. These really hit the spot. The kids pepperoni pizza was really good. If I weren't always in the mood for breakfast, I would've been very happy ordering a big boy version of that pizza. When you're in a relatively remote area, your dining options are limited. I'm sure the people of Prescott are happy that Kimmie's is nearby. While I ordered a carryout, they have a fully stocked bar. And, prices are reasonable for what you get. This is definitely a place you can appreciate any time of day.

Our server was sweet, attentive, helpful. I want to give Cafe International high marks based on this single quality. Alas, the food makes or breaks a restaurant. The ambience was warm, comfortable and interesting. I enjoyed looking at all the details of decor. I found it to be just "clean enough." One of the two bathroom stall doors would not fully close. The portions of our dinner plate and appetizer were generous, although, the size of the salad bar plate was fairly small. They definitely intend for the salad to be a "side." The lettuce looked wilted, almost like it was slightly frozen, so we made a salad with mostly tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and croutons. Finally, the final bill, around $35, for an appetizer, dinner and two bottled Pepsis was reasonable, especially as prices for eating out are climbing. Now for the big disappointment: the Jagerschnitzel, our main course, was terrible. The pork was flavorless. The mushroom gravy overshadowed the meat and also lacked notable flavor and the spatzel tasted like balls of flour and water (yep, like little balls of homemade Play dough.) The best part of the dish was the green beans, which may have come from a can. The dinner rolls were ......soft? That's the best I can do. My husband and I were hungry so we ate what we could but we both agreed it was one of the worst meals we've had out in a long time. Our potato skins were fine; lots of potato, not crispy but more like a chunk of a baked potato, with melted cheese and real bacon. We ordered water and couldn't get past the smell of the well water. Our server, who said she lives in the area and is accustomed to it, also acknowledged it can be unpleasant for many. We couldn't order tea or fountain drinks because they use the well water so we had to order a bottled Pepsi. The menu has many items to choose from. I'm wondering if we would have been better off with a sandwich, something ordinary and difficult to prepare poorly. The reviews from other Yelpers are so positive I'm wondering if I'm just not a fan of this type of dish. That's possible. I'll never know because I don't plan to return.
