I thought I had stewed up my going north Tony's taco stop. Yelp to the rescue! The Yelp app pointed out they had a Tawas location. I got the Macho Taco with beans and rice. WOW! Delicious and filling. Tony always makes the ingredients at his establishments fresh every day. He a nice man and very kind as well. Every summer we stop at Tony's Tacos 2 or 3 (or seven) times and the street tacos are simple and great, just like street tacos should be. On this visit I had the three for $7 basket with beef, chorizo and barbacoa tacos. Loved every single bite!!! Do yourself a favor, if you are passing by Tony's, and it's open, pull over for a little roadside Mexican treat--there's always room for at least one street taco, right?!?

Attended the Michigan Lavender festival and ordered a chicken sandwich. After ordering and paying, a sign went up in the front window saying they had run out of bacon, cheese curds, and several other items, both of which my sandwich included. Thinking I was safe because I already paid and ordered, I took my order. Nothing was said to me as I picked up my sandwich and left...seemed like employees were avoiding the pickup window. Needless to say, I discovered on my first bite that there was no cheese curds or bacon as advertised when I purchased. Only chicken, a slice of cheese, and some sauce on a bun. Wouldn't have paid even $5 for the sandwich I was given. The issue could simply be avoided if they just communicated they couldn't make my meal and offered me another option, but they were clearly trying to save themselves from embarrassment. If staff is trained better I think this could be a great food truck - much room for improvement on service and communication.

Proper taco looks to be able to support, seemingly, any dietary concern... if it isn't already noted on their menu, I recommend just asking about your needs. There are almost too many tasty items on the menu; after a few minutes, she ordered tacos and I ordered Merv nachos for my wonderful wife and me. While we waited we laughed at the many magnets and other items with humorous quotes on them. We enjoyed this great food back in our seats, at the concert. The fish taco was amongst the best I've ever had, dare I say it may have in fact been THE best. This is a must stop on your way through the area.
