We needed a place like Rox's to make it through the darkest of times, not just for themselves but for the village. But they survived. The menu has been pared back now and has become more tightly focused. I think that was a good move because it allows the staff to concentrate on making what they're now offering THAT MUCH BETTER. I appreciate the original aim to offer as much as possible, to try to satisfy as many wide-ranging tastes as possible, but sometimes, that can be a bit overreaching. Being great at a few things versus being mediocre at a lot of things because of spreading oneself out too thinly is sometimes a better choice in the end. So with my most recent visit to Rox's, I was again very satisfied with my lunch. We won't say it out loud, but it was their little jab at a popular fast food chain's signature sandwich that involves some beef and cheese. But Rox's did it better, with actual beef (not some strangely processed sheets of meat-product) and on a pretzel bun, no less.
