They announced over the speaker that our plane's coffee maker wasn't working. No! So I dashed over to Wolfgang Puck Express to grab a black coffee. Like a lot of spots in this airport, there are kiosks at which to order your food and beverages. It took me less than a minute, and another minute to have a cup of coffee in my hand. They only offer one size of coffee: large. Unfortunately, the coffee was very bitter, and I had to pour out quite a bit so I could add water, essentially making myself an Americano. It tasted better after that. This is the kind of coffee that might taste good if you add cream or sugar, but I was adding neither, so it was not good. read more

Being at the airport usually means super expensive mid-grade food so I spent some time looking through my options where the line wasn't incredibly long or the prices too high. Turns out, the line still ended up being long because they had only one employee taking orders and completing them for a while. Eventually when someone else joined it was smoother. I decided to try their Italian sub but unfortunately they informed me after ordering, they were out of a few ingredients like pickled onions and the vinegar. Get to know me for long enough and you learn that I love both craft sodas and I love ginger ale. If it's both, you know I am going to have some. I was in the Atlanta airport waiting for a flight a noticed this Wolfgang Puck Express kiosk was selling a craft ginger ale I had never had before called Boylan Ginger Ale. I bought some and took it with me to my terminal. Once I opened it and drank some... I had to force myself to swallow it. I can't describe to you the taste but it was very unpleasant. I have gripes about bad ginger ale before but I never had one that forced me to throw it away immediately after the first taste. Never having one of those again. read more

Usually airport food, even at Atlanta airport can be risky. Always expensive and often not good. I was happy to see Wolfgang express (I'm originally from Los Angeles) at terminal D where I fly back home to Asheville often. Its an open kitchen that is clean. You can see the cooks assemble your food in front of you. That's common in Atlanta airport, but the difference in ingredient quality and care in preparation is clear at Wolfgang vs. other options where an impatient server slops premade food into a container. I recommend the chicken pesto salad sandwich on whole grain bread. I watched the cook spread on the pesto, toast the bread and the way he handled the bread with care was a good sign. Then I watched him gently pile the greens on my sandwich so it wasn't smushed down, slice it and box it. I wasn't disappointed when I sat down and ate it. A really nice combination of textures and flavors. Lightly crunchy whole grain, creamy pesto and surprisingly tender chicken with that slightly Herby pesto freshness that I really love When I threw my empty box away, I stopped to tell the cook how awesome the sandwich was and be said he appreciated the compliment. I wish I got the cook's name who was working carefully prepping salads, slid over to make my sandwich without missing a beat and actually took pride in his food. It's rare to see that at fast food options in Atlanta, but it is 9/20 about 5 PM, so I hope a manager reads this and gets this review back to the cook.. But it's actually a Mediterranean Salad with TUNA SALAD on it. So not what I personally was expecting at the moment and definitely not as healthy as I was attempting to be on Sunday after a heavy eating weekend! It was a generous portion and tasted great! I'd say this place is a solid 3.5 stars, but a bump to 4 because it's one of the better airport foods. This place serves breakfast until 10:30am which consists of breakfast sandwiches, croissant sandwiches, croissants, pastries, etc. They also serve salad, soup, and sandwiches that are all around 10-15 dollars. I had the chicken salad and apple sandwich ($10). It didn't have any apples at all or at least I didn't taste any. I thought it was delicious with the pesto aioli, but the bread was on the harder side. Cut the roof of my mouth. My boyfriend had the turkey sandwich ($11), and it was super good as well, especially with the cole slaw in the sandwich. Prices aren't bad considering it's an airport! I think you definitely get what you pay for! I prefer this place over the food network kitchen if you're looking for some brunch/lunch! Highly recommend this place! read more

I stopped here with the hope of eating something that wouldn't kill my diet. It looked like one of the better options in the area (Five Guys and Popeyes nearby). I ordered the roasted vegetable sandwich since I figured it would be not too high in points since I'm on weight watchers. The sandwich was really tasty but when I looked it up afterwards, I discovered that the whole sandwich was 22 points (I get 26 points a day). Bummer. Could only eat half. The food was great! Unfortunately the cashier was so rude to all the customers. She was absent for a majority of the line and one of her coworkers had to literally go find her (working the register without permissions just to service the customers). When "Yoni" or "Noni" came out she angrily served the remainder of the line and basically refused to listen to one customers order intently enough. She confused her entire food line by just rambling what she thought she heard over and over again, while the customer kept trying to explain what she would like. It was cringe worthy. read more

Stop by here is I was commuting through that Atlanta airport. If you are in this terminal I would highly recommend getting some food from here I stopped for breakfast and then for dinner later that day. The whole menu is on the healthier side and has some fresh options. for breakfast I ended up getting the egg sandwich which was delicious it had some ham egg little bit of seasoning and some arugula. For a dinner later that day I got the hummus wrap which was just as tasty full of flavors it all tasted fresh. depending on the item that you order it could take some time for it to come out but overall it is fairly quickly for freshly prepared food. I picked up an Asian salad on Saturday 4/23/22 at the Wolfgang Puck kiosk at the Atlanta Airport. Within 4 hours I became very, very ill and contemplated seeking medical care. It took about twelve hours before the symptoms began to subside. What kind of quality control is done to make sure these salads are fresh and safe? The dressing was SO tart that I doubt anyone would have considered it to be the least bit Asian. Besides, becoming quite ill, this small salad cost a whopping $15.70. Frankly i think this chain has improved a lot over the past 2-3 years. It might be time to take another chance. I had tortilla soup and a snack box thing, with cucumbers and carrots. I just don't want 900 calories at some burger place in the middle of the day when I'm traveling. So i went lite. This stuff was all good-- i put the chicken in the soup, and ate the cucumbers as i flew. It was all really good. And i say this as a guy who routinely skipped the place for years after bad experiences with the artisan pizza craze. I got the quinoa and kale salad from this food stand. For airport food, this place has a wonderful variety of fresh, quality options and it's at normal airport prices. The staff behind the counter was clearly inexperienced, but they were nice. The salad itself was delicious. I added artichokes to the mix for no extra charge. One thing that grossed me out was that they used a used bowl to mix my salad in. I know technically it's only held salad ingredients and isn't necessarily unsanitary, but other build your own salad places don't do that and it takes away from the overall class of the restaurant. Sidenote: the pesto used on the toasted sandwiches smelled absolutely delicious! Next time I'll try that! read more

The food was tasty, but they have what I would describe as a "soggy problem". I ordered the yogurt "bar". I put "bar" in quotations because "bar" implies that you choose your own toppings, but they are pre-made. The toppings are blueberries, strawberries, and granola. The granola is soggy. They need to either make them to order, or somehow separate the granola and yogurt. Otherwise, it was pretty good. I also ordered a spinach artichoke breakfast sandwich. They were so slow in making this sandwich that my Type A soul almost shriveled up and died as I watched them make it. It was like they were trying to figure out how slowly they could do it. They put it in a to-go box for me, which I kept it in for all of 5 minutes. The bread was already soaking soggy by the time I opened it back up. I know the steaming effect inside the box could have had something to do with it, but the bread must have already been soggy to begin with for it to be that way. It was like someone briefly dipped it in water. I scrapped the bread, but must say that the insides were tasty if not a bit salty. Lastly, I ordered a coffee. There was no cream out by the coffee making supplies. I requested cream and waited another minute while they went to find it. Little things like this are a big deal when I just needed a quick breakfast before my flight. I wound up being the last to board. Overall, the flavor was there but I wouldn't recommend this place if (a) you are really turned off by soggy textures, or (b) you need something quick pre-flight. read more

Terrible service, rude, wouldn't even acknowledge that my daughter and I were standing waiting to order. I asked for coffee- she said it's not made yet (7 minutes after there were supposed to open). After standing waiting to be acknowledged for 5 minutes and dealing with the two employees rolling their eyes, ignoring us, and short answers to simple questions like when are you opening, she said 6, and it was already 6:05...I said I'd go elsewhere. She followed me and asked why because she was the manager. yikes! You'd think a Manager would know how to be nice to customers. So I'll start by saying this is a take out only place. When I get to the airport with time to spare I typically like to sit in a restaurant, sip a beverage and have the meal I'm going to be missing when I am in the air. Today though I didn't really have enough time to risk going to a restaurant and praying the server was fast with the check so I could get to my gate in time for Zone 2 boarding, so I stopped at Wolfgang Puck Express. I'm on a special diet but spotted the Quinoa and Kale salad that looked like it just may work for me. They actually made the salad fresh right in front of me so I was able to tell them to keep it light on the dressing and make sure they really did. They tossed the fresh salad ingredients up and put in a sturdy container for me along with a fork and napkins (but I had to ask for the bag). The salad itself was delish, but a little to spicy. I totally wasn't expecting spice. It also had a lot of currants in it. A few were tasty, but next time I'll ask them to not be so generous with them. Anyway, along with a glass of wine in the comfort of my economy plus airline seat it made a really nice dinner. I'll definitely order it again if my work travels take me back to this terminal. read more
